5 Important Things About Plastic Bottle Manufacturing
You cannot think of a market where there is no plastic bottle. From packaged drinking water to expensive medicines, plastic bottles are everywhere. It is durable, lightweight, and compatible with storing or carrying a wide range of goods and products. Based on the difference of need, the plastic material differs from each other. A plastic bottle manufacturer most relies on PET, PP, PC, and PE.
Most plastic bottles give sustained protection from air, temperature, and foreign elements that keeps the products safe and hygienic. Different density materials need different kinds of recycling as well.
Tumblr media
The PET Plastic Bottles
The most common and popular bottle material is Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The majority of the bottles out there are PET bottles. This material is a thermoplastic polymer that can have a transparent look or an opaque look. Most of the water bottles, beverage bottles come from PET material. If you check the chasing triangle sign in plastic bottles, resin no. 1 means PET products. This product is completely recyclable.
The main concern with PET bottles is, they can grow bacteria in them if you use them for a long time after you break the seal of the plastic bottles with caps and choose the best. Most of the PET bottles suggest using and recycle the bottle after thoroughly squeezing.
PP Bottles and Containers
The PP or Polypropylene is hardier and stiffer than PET or other material. These bottles are heat-resistant. Apart from heavy-duty bottles, this material is used for quality food containers as well. The PP material stands between high-density Polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE). The thermal barrier quality of PP material is a popular choice for the food packaging industry.
It is a safe and hygienic option for carrying food and beverages. Many makers produce high-quality bottles with PP for convenient use. PP is not very suitable for recycling. But you can put it into various creative reuse.
High-Density Polyethylene Products
High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a demanding material for a plastic bottle manufacturer. As the name suggests, HDPE is a heavy-duty plastic material for more rustic and hard use than PET or PP. This stiff plastic material is ideal for heat-resistant and dense liquid carriage. You have seen HDPE material in milk jugs, bottles of oil, detergent, chemical cleaners, and high-quality plastic bags as well.
The main benefit of the HDPE material is the extreme sustainability in heat and freezing. It does not break easily because of the hard-shell design. The weather resistance and simpler recyclability are two major qualities of the material.               Low-Density Polyethylene Plastic
All kinds of plastic bags, wrappers, covers, sheets, etc., come from low-density polyethylene material. It was much less toxic than other plastic materials in the market. Many kinds of solid food like bread, vegetables get wrapped in LDPE plastic. Plastic is highly reusable as bags and covers. This plastic is less likely to recycle. But after recycling, this LDPE material is used in floor tiles, garbage can liners, etc.
PC Products for Long-lasting Use
Polycarbonate (PC) is an important material in the bioplastics group. This material has no standardized guideline for reuse and recycles as of now. PC is not a common element anymore due to market complications. PC has been popular for usage in baby bottles, water bottles, sauce containers, etc. Right now, due to safety concerns, many counties have banned PC.
Quality Blow Moulders is a prominent plastic bottle manufacturer in Australia. For more than 25 years, the company is making high-end products with HDPE, PET, PVC, LDPE, PP, etc. The QBM executes a wide range of moulding to create excellent plastic material for the market.

Michelle MariceMopkins Meanings of Plastic Recycling Symbols
Michelle MariceMopkins Certified tips provider. In the 1967 movie "The Graduate", Mr. McGuire had one piece of career advice for young Benjamin Braddock - plastics. That advice was spot-on. In the 40 years since "The Graduate," the use of plastic has exploded from such applications as car bumpers and beverage bottles to computers and portable electronic devices. It has been classified into seven types, including PET, the type used for plastic water and soda bottles. In 2006, PET plastic products alone accounted for 2.7 million tons of plastic bottles.
Now the looming question is what to do with all that plastic. The most obvious solution is recycling. We seemingly see the Recycling Icon everywhere, on the side of packaging and containers and signs at recycling centers.
But this symbol is a relatively recent creation. So, where did it come from? In 1970, Chicago-based Container Corporation of America sponsored a contest for art and design students at high schools and colleges across the country to raise awareness of environmental issues. At the time, 23 year-old John Anderson was a student at the University of Southern California was looking for ways to help pay for his studies abroad. He entered the contest and his entry was selected as the winner. According to a later interview, Anderson intended the three arrows to "symbolize continuity within a finite entity".
The logo is now known the world over and is part of the public domain, meaning unfortunately for Mr. Anderson, he doesn't see any royalties.
The Meaning of the Recycling Symbol
Each of the three arrows can represent one step in a three-step process that forms a closed recycling loop.
Michelle MariceMopkins Certified tips provider. The first step represents recyclable materials which are placed into the curbside recycling bin or taken to a local collection center. The collected materials are cleaned and sorted for reuse. Plastic must be sorted by typebecauseeach type melts at a different temperature and has differentproperties.
The manufacturing process is the second arrow in the recycling symbol. The recyclable materials are manufactured into new products for resale to other companies or to the consumer.
The third step - the actual purchase and use of the products made from the recycled materials - completes the loop.
Meanings of Specific Recycle Plastic Symbols
Inside the 3 Recycling Arrows is a number that represents a particular type of plastic.
Number 1
Usually clear or green, sinks in water, rigid, glossy.
Because it is inexpensive, lightweight and easy to recycle, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic is the most common plastic for single-use bottled beverages, such as soft drinks, water and beer bottles, peanut butter containers, mouthwash bottles, salad dressing and vegetable oil. It also poses a low risk of leaching breakdown products and is conducive to bacterial growth.
It is typically recycled into polar fleece, furniture, carpet, fiber, tote bags, straps, paneling, and occasionally new containers.
Even though the material is in high demand by re-manufacturers, recycling rates hover only around 20%.
Number 2
Slightly opaque, low gloss, crackly film
HDPE (high density polyethylene) is a versatile plastic with many uses, especially in packaging. Found in milk jugs, juice bottles, shampoo bottles, bleach, detergent and household cleaner bottles, motor oil bottles, butter and yogurt tubs, cereal box liners, some trash and shopping bags. Generally not thought to be a health concern.
It is readily recyclable into many goods and carries a low risk of leaching. It is often recycled into drainage pipe, laundry detergent bottles, pens, recycling containers, oil bottles, benches, doghouses, floor tile, picnic tables, lumber, and fencing.
Number 3
Semi-rigid, glossy, sinks in water
PVC (polyvinylchloride) is tough and stands up to weather conditions well, so it is commonly used for siding and piping, as well as in shampoo bottles, window cleaner and detergent bottles, cooking oil bottles, carpet backing, medical equipment, clear food packaging, windows, and wire jacketing. Because PVC contains chlorine, the manufacturing process can release highly toxic dioxins.
Be sure to not let food come in contact with containers made from PVC if used in cooking. Also, because it releases toxins, PVC should never be burned. Although it is rarely recycled, when it is, it is made into decks, roadway gutters, mats, cables, flooring, paneling, mud-flaps, and speed bumps
Number 4
Translucent
LDPE (low density polyethylene) is a flexible plastic with many applications. LDPE is used in squeezable bottles, furniture, dry cleaning and shopping bags, tote bags, carpet, clothing, bread bags, six-pack rings, and shrink wrap. Generally considered safe.
LDPE is not often recycled through curbside programs. Plastic shopping bags can often be returned to many stores for recycling.
It is recycled into shipping envelopes, floor tile, paneling, trash can liners and cans, lumber, compost bins, and landscaping ties
Number 5
Semi-rigid, low gloss
Michelle MariceMopkins Certified tips provider. Because PP (Polypropylene has a high melting point, it is often chosen for containers that must accept hot liquid. Found in some ketchup bottles, yogurt containers, medicine bottles syrup bottles, caps, and straws. This plastic is considered safe.
It is gradually becoming more accepted by recyclers.
Recycled into brooms, brushes, bicycle racks, signal lights, bins, pallets, trays, auto battery cases, ice scrapers, battery cables, landscape borders, and rakes.
Number 6 Plastics
Often brittle, glossy
PS (Polystyrene) can be made into rigid or foam products (trademark Styrofoam). Found in packing peanuts, disposable plates, cups, cutlery, and trays. Polystyrene can leach potential toxins into foods. This material has long been a target of environmental groups because it is so widely dispersed across the landscape, and because it is difficult to recycle.
When recycled, it can be made into rulers, foam packing, insulation, carry-out containers, egg cartons, light switch plates, and vents
Number 7 Plastics
A wide variety of plastic resins that don't fit into the previous categories which were invented after 1987. Some are made from plants and can be composted rather than recycled. Used in margarine containers, lenses including sunglasses, automotive headlamps, riot shields, baby milk bottles, prescription glasses, and instrument panels.
One Number 7 plastic that is widely used is Polycarbonate, including BPA. BPA is a hard plastic that has become a health concern after studies have shown it can leach potential hormone disruptors.
Typically found in 3 and 5 gallon water bottles, certain food containers, nylon, MP3 players and computer cases, sunglasses, DVDs, 'bullet-proof' materials, signs and displays,
Normally Number 7 products are not recycled, but if they are, they can be found in plastic lumber.
Michelle MariceMopkins Certified tips provider. While some of the plastic types listed above are considered safe, in general, in general, it's better to avoid micro-waving plastic and stick to glass.

By Nick Winstone, MD of InnuScience UK
Perception in the cleaning industry is that to enhance product quality, and specifically, to ensure the greenest products possible, product costs will need to increase. This is a major challenge against an industry backdrop that is dominated by diminishing budgets and the need to reduce costs.
InnuScience – as a pioneering and established manufacturer of biotechnological cleaning products – understands this balance and prides itself on being able to demonstrate real life performance improvement and exceeding industry standards, whilst actually reducing the end-user’s chemical product spend.
There is a lot of hype and ‘green washing’ in the industry, in terms of what constitutes a ‘green’ or sustainable product – most of which is completely misleading. Quite simply, it comes down to what impact the product has on its people and the planet, and our stringent biodegradability benchmark, and strict Enviro Performance Standards underpin the green strength of our products, along with third party certifications from EU Ecolabel and N American Ecologo.
InnuScience, has placed a great emphasis on developing environmentally-friendly products and is committed to being an industry leader in the field of sustainable plastics. For years it has paved the way in plastic reduction, with its industry leading dilutions of 1:150 to 1:300 for most products, meaning one litre of InnuScience concentrate can make 150 to 300 litres of in use product.
We have a mission to shape the cleaning industry, one of these ways is through the use of recyclable plastics and particularly Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic (PCR). Already all our plastic bottles are made of sustainable plastic and we insist on all of our products possessing ultimate biodegradability of 99.99 per cent – according to OECD test 301 – being standard. Furthermore, all our products are either Ecologo or Ecolabel certified.
Our ‘family’ of sustainable packaging now comprises:
Recyled HDPE Material: Recycled High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene, which InnuScience has discovered is a great material for the manufacture of its reusable trigger bottles.
Bio Based Material: The material used for the bottles (Braskem Green PE) is Bio Based (Plant-based from sugar cane) and the Ethanol is obtained from sugar cane and polymerized to polyethylene. This polyethylene is then identical to fossil polyethylene. It has a negative CO2 footprint and is 100 per cent recyclable.
PCR Material: Post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin is the recycled product of waste created by consumers before the plastic waste is turned into resin. This material is strong and able to support the structure and weight of InnuScience’s 750ml Trigger, one litre descaler and two-and-a-half and five litre concentrated products.
InnuScience sees this as the start of the sustainable packaging journey and is currently exploring a number of Zero waste packaging options.
We are proud to be leading the way in sustainable packaging by having all of our packaging now in either recycled or bio-plastics. It’s easy to have one or two lines but to have moved everything across has been a real challenge that our team has risen to, resulting in us now leading the way in terms of sustainable products in and out of the bottle.
We believe the future of sustainability is in showing a total commitment to recycling and being environmentally friendly. Currently we have pilot projects to look at how we can optimize closed loop recycling, as well as getting used bottles back to us for rebottling.
Technology has the ability to transform the way we clean and the way we control the budgets around cleaning product spend. By monitoring our customer spend on cleaning products we can ensure that savings are being delivered and that product usage is optimal per customer site.
InnuScience is the youngest and fastest-growing of the top 15 manufacturers in the UK, supplying biotechnology-based cleaning products to the Facilities Management, Building Hospitality and Care Sectors.
The InnuScience UK range of professional cleaning products cover the needs of the most prestigious public sectors, education, restaurants, hotels, stations, airports, healthcare and retail contracts, and include cleaners and degreasers, maintenance products, industrial cleaners, odour eliminators, laundry products and floor care.

How to Clean & Whiten Grout Naturally
No matter how clean your floors are, dingy grout lines can give them a tired and worn appearance. This recipe is perfect for white or light-colored grout that has gotten discolored over time. Lemon essential oil mixed with hydrogen peroxide has a similar whitening effect to bleach. Learn How to Clean & Whiten Grout Naturally, without chemicals.
When we were building our first home, we were lucky enough to get to pick out all the finishes. My husband and I visited a design center and got to select the flooring, paint colors, cabinets…you name it.
Having never owned a home before, we went with the color schemes and finishes similar to those we had seen in model homes. That meant lots of trendy greys and whites. We went with a gorgeous Carrera marble style tile in our master bathroom and selected a white grout. Bright White colored grout to be exact.
After several months, despite cleaning it, the grout had turned almost yellow. It looked awful! We had planned to seal the grout, but I wound up forgetting and sidelining the project. Sealing grout helps to waterproof the surface and keep it looking its best. Sealing also helps repel dirt, mold, and mildew. I had left the grout exposed to all sorts of build-up.
Up until now, this bathroom tile cleaner recipe was great at keeping soap buildup and dirt at bay. Suddenly, I needed something that could whiten and remove stains from our new, white grout. Something like bleach.
Bleach is not something we use in our home. In addition to bleach being harmful to the body systems, it is extremely caustic when used on grout. Natural stone can corrode and break down over time when exposed to bleach. Since the majority of our household cleaners are homemade, I needed an effective and natural bleach-alternative to use on my all white shower.
Use Natural Ingredients to Clean & Whiten Grout
Lemon essential oil is one of my favorite oils for cleaning. I love using lemon in my laundry routine to remove stains left behind on clothes. Lemon can even remove residual sticker residue, which is basically a magic trick if you ask me. Lemon contains the constituent limonene, which gives it powerful cleansing properties.
Hydrogen peroxide is a fantastic alternative to bleach. You probably already use it as an antiseptic, but it is great for cleaning too. As a teenager growing up on the California Coast, I used hydrogen peroxide and water to fake highlights in my hair. I know, I know. Not the best idea (I was a teenager after all), but it worked! You can read more about the many benefits of Hydrogen peroxide here.
Baking soda, or sodium carbonate, has been around since Egyptian times. It started to gain popularity as a cleaning agent in the 1970s. It can be found in numerous personal care products like deodorant and toothpaste. Baking soda is also used in cooking and baking as a leavening agent. Is there anything baking soda can’t do?
The best method for cleaning grout is going to depend on the color, thickness, and density of your grout. Here are 3 different ways to whiten and brighten grout naturally (and without bleach):
Brightening Grout Scrub
This method is ideal for smaller sections of grout that may need more attention, and visible stains, mold, or mildew may be present.
Combine 2 cups of baking soda, 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 20 drops lemon essential oil in a stainless steel bowl.
Using a tile brush, add a thin layer to grout and work in sections.
Leave cleaner on grout lines for 15 minutes, then scrub with a walnut scrubber sponge or tile brush.
Wipe or rinse the surface with a lint-free cloth to remove any remaining cleaner.
DIY Bleach Pen
This DIY Bleach Pen is great for cleaning linear sections of grout, without wasting much cleaner. This method is ideal for small tiles, or tiles laid close together.
Combine 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 20 drops lemon essential oil in a 4 oz squeeze bottle. Shake to combine.
If you’ve ever used a bleach-pen, you understand the convenience here. I like using a squeeze bottle to leave a more precise layer of cleaner on the grout line.
These squeeze bottles are made of thick HDPE plastic, so they are safe to use with essential oils. I make this recipe in small quantities, so I am not worried about the plastic breaking down. Just be sure to rinse the bottle after each use.
Grout Spray
This method is ideal for small tiles laid close together in a pattern or areas with larger pieces of tile. The cleaner will disinfect the entire surface.
Combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 20 drops lemon essential oil in a 16 oz glass spray bottle.
If you are cleaning a larger area of tile and grout, add this recipe to a glass spray bottle. It is safe to store for an extended time in a glass container.
Diluted essential oils should be kept out of direct sunlight and stored in a cool place.
Cleaning Deeper Stains
Even the most effective cleaners still require a bit of elbow grease to get the job done. If you have some deep stains that just won’t come out, try this amazing contraption.
This Drill Brush attaches to a standard drill and delivers a high-powered scrub with very little effort. I use it a few times a year to deep clean my tile and grout and get it looking new again. My six-year-old enjoys helping with this task, too!

‘A Recyclable material’- Plastic Bottles
These days plastic bottles are in trend, so if asked a question that what do you mean by a plastic bottle? So, the answer to this very simple question is bottles manufactured from high-density or low-density plastic are basically known as plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are considered to be environment-friendly as it produces less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and is liked by most people. These bottles are mostly used to store liquids such as oil, water, shampoo, ink, medicines, floor cleaners, thinners, and various other solvents. We have a great variety in size, ranging from 100ml to 900ml and 1ltr bottle ranges too. The material used by us is HDPE plastics and it is considered to be the most widely used resin for plastic bottles. HDPE is economical, impact-resistant, and provides a good moisture barrier to the products.
We are proud to be one of India's leading suppliers of blow-molded plastic products since 2008.
