Say sabadie to the fabulous ladies of the Karen Hill Tribe women’s co-op! 💕 These women sell beautiful handmade textiles and clothing. Our volunteers get to support this co-op by spending an afternoon learning how to weave! . Here we get to learn about a culture in a new way, while also laughing through the language barriers. We are very grateful for these women to invite us to spend this time with them. . ok ignoring the fact that Shane turned out to be not-so-great, I’m still super grateful that he was the one to shadow the band during the Honda Civic Tour and film other important parts of the early Pretty. Odd. era (for real, though, late spring 2008 in North America sort of feels like its own mini era since there was so much content). Shane was good friends with the whole band, which made such a difference in the kind of footage he got... it’s like the band is hanging out with a friend or the camera isn’t even there at times. 

Spencer summed this up perfectly when he told ARTISTdirect: “Shane did our tour documentary. He lives with Brendon. We've known him for a couple of years, and that's one of the things that we were pretty excited about. It wasn't like when we're doing a video interview with MTV or something, and we didn't really know the people there. With Shane, we've known him for so long. He's done things for us, and his work just felt natural. We didn't feel like we were on the spot. That lended to it coming off naturally. We didn't want it to come off as fake at all.”
