hi guys! i’m strud, she/her, 22, CST, and im super excited what’s good. i haven’t been in a demigod rp in years but it’s easily my fav concept and this feels like home so i’m super pumped to revisit it and make new connections!

Astrid is a daughter of Hecate and the youngest Johnson sibling

loves her family and sisters more than anything and would probably do anything for them

grew up as the baby of the family, sometimes she loves this, sometimes she hates it

though she has no real qualms against Hecate, she considers her dads her real parents no matter what

she knew she was a demigod from a young age

went to public school all her life and did her best to appear like a regular girl-- something she realized her siblings weren’t really going for

all the Johnson's were sent to Half-Blood Island for their summers after they turned 13, which means Astrid stayed behind alone for two summers

has the power of all-around magic-- which she studies hard at but is only slightly above average-- and is an amplifier, which means she can increase the level of others’ powers, but has yet to find a way to use it on her own magic

she’s kind and honest, and thinks of herself as the normal girl next door

-- well, she tries to act as well-rounded and normal as she can, but in all honesty, she’s a bit of a dork-- the only possible outcome when she grew up in the Johnson household

being babied had it perks; she does like to be cared for a lot, and be thought of as a ‘can-do-no-wrong angel’

but there are times she really hates being the youngest-- like when her siblings tease her about crushes or stupid things, or when people merely see her as the little girl

she feels a little bit in her siblings’ shadow; they’re the coolest people on earth to her, and so it’s hard for her not to think that she’ll never be as cool/talented/liked as them

having been left behind for two summers also made her feel insecure, and sure enough, by the time she got to camp, everyone already knew her as the Johnson girls’ youngest sister

because of this, she relishes in meeting new islanders before they have a chance to hear about her

cares and feels deeply, whether this is about friends or her dreams or her skills-- Astrid is probably too sensitive and trusting for her own good

she’s a hopeless romantic and thinks love is supposed to happen the way it does in her favorite movies and books, and refuses to budge, even though this way of thinking has gotten her absolutely nowhere

child of circe, older sister of charla, raised by their father to be business-smart and sophisticated with the intent of her taking over the business side of their family’s monster slaying business

she got the best education and was mentored by her father. she often shadowed him growing up as a way of learning the trade

used to visit the island from time to time, but hardly enough to really connect with many there, she focused on her education and helping her father with the business

all was well until a close friend of hers died saving her from a monster attack. it wasn’t ever talked about that way and was always either considered an accident or just an unfortunate casualty from battle but levi blamed herself and her grief affected her daily life for a while, leading to some conflicts with her father and the people around her

it didn’t help that she was the type to keep her problems to herself and would rather put up a tough front or attempt to smile through the pain probably like 99.9% of the time

eventually it occurred to her that perhaps she needed a change of environment, so when she was recruited by marina to be a counselor on the island, she accepted and left for half-blood island

her presence has always been a little intimidating to some, and in leadership roles, she’s always been a little strict, but really, she believes it’s for the best. tough love or whatever

pretty much #girlboss type, cultured, refined, has good business sense, which she does plan to apply to her new job as a counselor

don’t argue with her, it’ll be a headache and she’ll always find a counter-argument

won’t hold back on constructive criticism, could seem infuriatingly detached when delivering it, but again, she’ll argue it’s constructive

when it comes to battle, she isn’t fond of close combat, she’s better at ranged magic and will most likely be more at an advantage when an enemy’s at a distance

probably needs to catch a break, someone come help her with that
