yes!! as much as emmy loves rafe, there’s something about cleo that triumphs all. maybe it’s energy. maybe it’s bad bitches recognizing each other but there’s an understanding there 🙂‍↕️ rafe tries to convince emmy to go in her crate for 45 mins only for cleo to snap her fingers, point, and emmy strolls over w no resistance.

“you couldn’t have done that earlier?” rafe would ask.

rafe is her favorite person after reader, and reader is so confused, because she's always running to rafe whenever she opens the door, and she's like "i told u all the shit he's done to me and u go running to the enemy? traitor."

please my poor baby 🥺 they were play fighting and emmy accidentally scratched rafe and he lets out a little hiss of pain and emmy immediately freezes, stares up at rafe, before running off. then rafe goes look for her only to discover her hiding in a closet for hours out of shame 🥹

i feel like jj has beef with emmy the cat like she’s tearing the fuck out his shoes or jumping on him in a playful way and he’s like “get this gremlin away from me 😖” and readers like 🤨

emmy just never liked jj. for no reason whatsoever. she loves cleo (adores her) and pope (tolerates) and jb doesn't make her mad. but something about jj just makes her go crazy. he tried to bribe her by feeding her treats and gift her toys but she just... doesn't fuck w the man. and it's even worse where he tries to pick her up and she starts clawing and scratching him 😭

YES rafe walks into the door and is like “u miss me?” and emmy meows back, and he’s like “yeah more than ur mom huh?” and emmy keeps meowing while rafe keeps asking her more questions and reader is on the sideline like… r they teaming against me 🤨

emmy is used to rafe letting her sit on his chest that when the baby came home, and the baby likes sleeping with rafe, that emmy starts getting jealous. she slowly creeps up to rafe as she eyes the baby, and rafe is laughing bc emmy looks so suspicious of the baby and suddenly bops her on her chest, waking the baby up 😭 the baby starts crying, and rafe soothes her while reader scolds emmy

love the implication that she doesn’t bother reader but instead makes rafe do all the dirty work 😭 there’s two reasons: either it’s 5am and she’s sleeping too and the baby cannot be comforted by emmy OR because she can’t stand the sound of the baby crying because she has learned that baby cries = needs attention

rafe staying the night and expecting a peaceful morning. instead, emmy decides 5:00 am is the perfect time to jump on his chest and meow directly in his face. when he wakes up, she literally just stares him in the face.

rafe finally sleeping with you after months of no-contact, where his arms is around your waist, where you're finally finding security and safety after months of cruel insomnia... only for your cat to pounce on your boyfriend because 5am is the perfect playtime for her 😭 her meowing in rafe's ears while he's blinking through his sleepy haze, trying to pinpoint the source of the noise—and to find emmy, literally on his chest, staring straight at him

emmy preparing herself to jump but she got too excited so she jumps and falls down on her back 🥹 she gets embarrassed and is about to run away when rafe picks her up and brings her to his shoulders where she nuzzles into his neck

thinking of how emmy would curl into a ball in between the gap between your baby bump and rafe every night

that's literally perfect 🥹 emmy instantly having a connection with your baby that she would always sneak into the bedroom while you sleep, and crawl over you in such a delicate and gentle manner, before laying down between u and rafe. and when u wake up, you find emmy curled up almost protectively around the baby bump 🥹

baby starts crying so emmy starts using her paw to rock her back and forth in her little baby swing while looking to rafe and reader like, “please make it stop”

emmy being so intelligent for that omg 😭 reader and rafe comes into the room because the baby's cries softened just to mewls, but then they caught emmy ROCKING the baby in her little swing back and forth and they burst out laughing while emmy is going through it

💭 thinking about reader trying to write a term pape/studying and catching up on all the school she missed and emmy just won’t stop running across her keyboard and knocking books off the counter and reader’s like “omg rafe please come get your child” 💭

emmy's mirroring you because she loves reader but reader is just swamped with her finals that she needs space. she tried to put emmy in the bedroom, but her soft meows make reader's heart aches and she tried to allow her to go outside for a few moments but emmy keeps coming back. so, when rafe comes over to reader's apartment, she opens the door, drops emmy in rafe's arms, and tells him to "give her a break" for a few hours while she completes her assignments 🙂‍↕️

the call rafe would get when you’re overstimulated from both babies. emmy won’t stop meowing and crying and your baby is so fussy

it's the early stages of the newborn being home and rafe has been a tremendous help but his coach called him in for practice for the new season so he has to leave reader. for the first few days, it's fine, almost decent! but one day, everything goes haywire and wrong. emmy can't stop meowing and clawing. at reader's arms. at the furniture. at everything. (maybe it's rare being gone) and the baby just won't stop crying. no matter what she did. the noises, the sounds, everything is just so overstimulating that reader calls rafe crying herself and he comes racing home. he takes the baby, he manages to soothe emmy, and he kiss reader's forehead before giving her space to take a nap and catch up on the missing sleep <3
