summary:

That’s her Violet. Lionhearted, kind with every inch of her being though she fiercely denies it every time it’s brought up. A caretaker. A friend. Her company, through the darkest nights and brightest days, the reason she can finally fall asleep without worrying about waking up alone in a hospital room. Trying to deny her devotion to Vi is like trying to deny a piece of Caitlyn she can no longer sacrifice, not if she ever wants to be herself again.

She laces their fingers together, Vi’s calloused, tattooed hand fitting perfectly in her own. Vi gasps, startled, a question in her grey-blue eyes. Caitlyn answers it by pulling her into her arms.
