There, on the ground, slipping through the minutes,/trying to notch them. Like taking the same picture over and over, the spaces in between sealed up/Knocked hard enough to make the record skip/and change its music, setting the melody on its/forward course again, circling and circling the center hole in the flat black disk./And words, little words,/words too small for any hope or promise, not really soothing/but soothing nonetheless.

“I want to tell you this story without having to confess anything.” poem about having a hard time, the kind of hard time where you don’t want anybody to see you like this, but somebody is seeing you like this. and somebody is doing everything they can to help you but you are reckless and they are young and you both are just trying to get through it one day at a time.

The waters of the dead, a clear road, every lover in the form of stars, the road blocked. All night I stretched my arms across him, rivers of blood, the dark woods, singing with all my skin and bone Please keep him safe. Let him lay his head on my chest and we will be like sailors, swimming in the sound of it, dashed to pieces. 

“I came to tell you we’ll swim in the water / we’ll swim like something sparkling underneath the waves.” this is the poem I send excerpts of to the people I love. when I read this poem is makes me cry because it reminds me of the beautiful things in the world and also the beautiful things of love.

Ashes to ashes./You wanted to be cremated so we cremated you and you wanted an adventure/so I ran and I knew you wouldn’t catch me./You are a fever I am learning to live with, and everything is happening/at the wrong end of a very long tunnel.

“I don’t really blame you for being dead but you can’t have your sweater back.” this is a poem about grief, a poem about loss. poem that makes you think about how people leave you but you still have everything you’ve ever known about them and you don’t know what to do about that.

I woke up and ate ice cream in the dark, hunched over on the wooden chair in the kitchen, listening to the rain. I borrowed your shoes and didn’t put them away.

surrealist dream piece but in a very homoerotic and fluorescent lit way. reminds me of going to waffle house at three am with my friends, or late night road trips. about the idealization of the good wild moments you have with people you love but also about the harshness of living outside of those moments. also kind of about crime, which I think is sexy.

🌸 [CHERRY BLOSSOM] Does your OC believe in legends/myths?

Hayat very much does! Its more fun for him and depending on how old the myth/legend is he figures there may very well be truth to it especially if there are other stories that have very similar events in them and in similar if not exact same order. Once finding out about the supernatural then it just increases because there is much higher possibility that those legends and myths are true.

🌾 [RICE SHEAF] How picky is your OC with food? What will and won't they eat?

He's not overly picky. He will try most anything once. For better or worse he will try everything at least once. This was more of an issue when in college in bigger cities where there was more selection of food choices.

🍃 [FALLEN LEAF] What's the darkest period of time your OC has been through?

Honestly the post break up time was the worst and darkest for him. Hayat was someone that was so lively and happy and just bubbly and you couldn’t not love the guy! So with the break up and how it all came to be just sucked all that life out of him. He lost everything because of Bobby meaning he had to start from scratch in terms of well everything in his life. Which is hard when you had a singular goal and we’re so close to it, so he moved back home after couch surfing until the end of the semester and he locked himself in his room for three weeks. His grandma did her best to get him to eat, leave the room, talk to her, and was ready to call his mother to demand that she come back home for just a little while because he needed her. Eventually he did manage to start coming out of the room and eating again, even going out once more. Despite appearances though he was still so depressed and just didn’t want his grandmother to worry any more. He took odd jobs to make enough to move out and hoped he’d find some kind of purpose or direction. But that was just the most grey his life had ever been and it certainly didn’t improve once Bobby came back into his life but by then he developed a way of just avoiding him as much as possible.

1. Truth - While its still not perfect and ideal it's a nice medium to have music that Hayat loves but isn't gonna assault Mason's senses in the same manner. Hayat just can't stand total silence so its a bit of a must. 2. Truth - When he first moved out she would visit and would complain that the tea didn't taste the same because it wasn't like the ones at home, but no way was she going to let him have one of hers! When visiting Wayhaven one summer there was an outdoor market/art fair and the person that originally made her cups was there so he had one specially made for her. Well four just in case any broke or got lost. Felix once tried to use one and it was a bit of a comedy bit in stopping him from using them. 3. Lie - And he has no intention of ever kissing that man again! While Bobby has tried he's had no luck.
