lokelani was surprised at the sudden kiss. things between her and hawkeri had been...interesting to say the least. but considering that she wasn’t even out of the closet, the soft press of lips were a shock. offering the nymph a soft smile, she couldn’t stop the rise of a blush on her cheeks.

“hawk...” she said softly, unsure of what else to say in her stupor, her hand still hanging limply in hawkeri’s from the kiss.

hawkeri was doing their best to try to mimic how they had seen humans interact toward those they liked.  being a woodland guardian meant that they had little to go off of, save for those who ventured into the forest they watched over.  so, at lokelani’s reaction to their gesture, they blinked, initially confused.

“am i doing this incorrectly?” they asked, their hold on lokelani’s hand loosening. “would you prefer not to have your hands touched?”

new muse: hawkeri.

they are a wood nymph -- also called a hyleoroi. they were raised by two satyr dads.  when they came of age, they inherited their very own woodland which they act as guardian/protector of.  they enjoy people in their forest so long as they are kind to the creatures that inhabit it and gentle with the plant life.  

hawkeri was born missing their left leg from the knee down. they go between using a prosthetic and not; however, all of their prosthetics are fantastical by design.  they prefer prosthetics made from nature (wood from ash trees are a favorite), decorated with other naturally occurring embellishments (flowers, feathers, leaves, etc.).

they are rather cheeky and often play harmless pranks on passersby. one of their greatest strengths (and, some would argue, their most dangerous weaknesses) is that they are hopelessly devoted to seeing the good in everyone.  they are jubilant and kind yet sheltered and naive.

they are nonbinary and only use they/them pronouns.  they are also a lesbian and love to leave cute, little gifts for women who find their way into their woodland.
