job rant incoming

#ok so a couple weeks ago i registered with a cleaning agency and got offered 2 days of work which i had to refuse because i was still at uni #haven't heard anything since #got a message a few days ago from a different cleaning company (job with regular hours) asking if i was free for a trial shift this week and #i told them i was. radio silence since #i'm hoping i'll get a message sometime today because the job description listed the start date as monday #did an interview for a tutoring place that i'll hear from in the next week or so but i'm not confident #i really really want the regular cleaning job cus if they're alright with me being on holiday for a couple days at the end of june #and i can work the rest of the summer i would make enough money to pay the bills for the house AND completely fund 2 trips i have in mind #i hate being worried about money and jobs and idk this feels like a very first world rant lol #cus i could pay the bills for my student house next year without working this summer but i'd have very little money for anything fun #the trips are v unnecessary but is it really so bad to want to have fun money? ofc worst case scenario and i'm jobless this summer i'll go #without the plans or change them but.....yeah #delete later #ellis exclaims

So I'm assuming a lot of us have seen the "Creators for Palestine" thing plastered on our YouTube homepage. I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if A. it wasn't giving to PCRF, which isn't a reputable charity and donations to it go into Hamas's pockets B. the literal first person on the list wasn't antisemitic tankie piece of shit Hasan Piker. I'm so heartbroken over so many of my favorite YouTubers on the list.

#even if it was actually useful and hasan wasn't there i'd be struggling to continue watching them since it'd remind me of the conflict #at least funkyfrogbait is still kinda safe? i heard they condemned 10/7 and shared some of jack black's reasonable takes #so even if they're participating they're probably not doing it out of hatred for israeli civilians or antisemitism at the least #literally so upset over kurtis conner. he genuinely might be shitty he kissed hasan on the lips and he's proud of it #i have a yootooz of him and for what #gonna watch pinely now bc i haven't seen anything from him about the war and he's jewish so i'm holding hope he's probably chill #leftist antisemitism #antisemitism #jumblr #lukas rants #hila has spoken

ADHD really does put everything at equal levels of importance, huh? Like I'll have an email I need to write that'll take maybe 10 minutes, and getting that done will alleviate 6 months of stress. Then I'll notice a sock on the floor I need to put away. Then I'll get the strong conviction that it's up to me to cure cancer. And my brain will tell me that I need to do all of them at once, start and finish them all in the time span of 0 seconds, and my executive dysfunction will throw up its hands and do none of the above.

#adhd #actuallyadhd #executive dysfunction #examples were courtesy of my partner. it made me laugh so hard because i've never heard anything more accurate #i'll read stuff like ''adhd makes it difficult to prioritize things!'' and i never paid that much attention because i was like #''i can easily sort things into categories. it's just the doing them that's the issue.''#but then i realized. that the REASON doing things is an issue is because it's not happening at the conscious logical level #it's happening at a nearly-subconscious rapid fire in-the-moment response time #i've been working a lot on my adhd these past few months & have also been meditating a lot lately and it's been making my awareness more an #more broad and precise #and at this point i'm wondering if this is straight up the cause of my adhd. the brain putting absolutely everything at the same ''URGENT #URGENT URGENT'' level. since i can't do everything in the world at the same time at infinite speed and perfection #i'm thrown into ''freeze mode''. and that's also why we've learned to weaponize fear against ourself as a motivator. because it forces the #task we're trying to do into front view. makes it take priority over everything else we're scared of not doing.#we've been working on a lot of useful coping skills. haven't entirely figured out how to manage this yet but the awareness itself has #been very useful.

y'know we're beary beary BEARY excited by the idea of a p4 remake but at the same time if the rumors are true. the fact we're seemingly getting a p4 remake before persona 6 when the last game we got was also a remake. does slightly make me worry about p6's development-

Since we're halfway through the year and we haven't gotten any info, I've kind of accepted the fact that we probably aren't going to get the Tusk sequel this year. Hopefully Kevin will remember and try to make up for it next year or something.

btw i am so incredibly mad that apparently owen has received 0 answers from wbd about why infinity train was taken down from the digital stores. telling the creator what's happening to his show is the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM of courtesy and they can't even do that.

i was originally planning on job hunting most of today but when i got up i swear i could taste the dust so i think i'm just gonna try and dust the front room and my room and vacuum and change the furnace filter today instead so i have less congestion lol maybe do some ref hunting. i kinda wanna try doing some pinupish stuff this weekend

#everyone channel one of the applications i already put out responding to me today or tomorrow #part of me is tempted to apply at the local hospital as a PCT since i was a caregiver for like 20+ years of various degrees of care #but i'm so worried that if a code blue goes out i'll freeze or start crying because well the grieving process is still processing #i was there for the cpr attempt and can still remember the sound so yea. that's why i worry #i haven't heard anything back from the target i worked at prior so i applied for another that's like 15mins away on thursday #so i'm hoping they get back to me #i made sure to include that i had been started being trained to be a team lead as well for that one which i should've done with the first #idk if i should try calling and asking what positions are available and mention that i had applied...#i need to figure out what's up with mom's pension too because if i can get that going soon i'll at least feel better about finances a littl #when i talked to HR they did mention that I'll have better luck getting hired in the summer if I can wait that long #so yea #both applications still say in process so that's a good thing at least #like i just wanna pay my bills i don't like being late on stuff lol #and i also don't want to have to ask for help y'know
