Poor Danny... Getting pregnant and have a miscarriage all over and over and over again??? I am so killing someone, Preferably a certain Timtam Duck :D

How many child must he have miscarriage of? How many soul wasted and damned to never be borned? How many times must he grief for bisa children over and over and over again? Hm... It would be nice if the magical community part learn of this information about Danny having miscarriage cuz the one who got the infor was some sprti of Dream Demon and saw what happened, and children to the magical is a sacred gift that must be treated with utmost love and care. So Danny having to relief the Pain of losing his children while trapped cuz he couldn't get the needed nutritiom to sustain and nurture his babies was Horrifying to them and devasting to most mothers.

Wulf finally manage to track down Danny after his disappearance for like a hundred year or so, the Realm was in shambles more than it already was since their future King went missing. Their High Prince was missing!!!

Finally they got a lead or more like an information and that information was given to them by a demon named Lucifer. Someone has trapped their Prince and impregnante him while also imprisoning him causing him to miscarriage over and over and over again!!!!

GGGRRRRRHHHH!!!

They will pay for the pain that has caused their beloved Prince!

Humans have always hurt their Prince no matter how nice and kind their Prince has been with them, he was a child and still is! The stuff he has been through and been put through is not something they wished or wanted to happen to him yet it did! They should've tried harder to convince them to stay and leave the living realm, now their Prince is the one to pay the price.

Their Prince is in hiding, away from the humans. Away from his- no, not his soulmate. Never his soulmate and should have never been! Wulf could barely contain his growl of rage at the thought, they hope they could still save what little left of their bright, cheerful Prince. They know their Prince would never lose their kindness and love for the living but their Prince could never be the same again after the horrible situation he was put in. Never.

They could only hope that they wouldn't be too late to at least save a broken part of their Prince and help him heal. Oh, how Wulf desperately wanted to use the W-word but they know better than to.

Wulf run and cut straight to the air where he could hear his Prince- His Friend- cry of pain and anguis but he could feel his hope and fear -fear of having his expectation to be met with dissapointmen- and the moment Wulf tear a whole through dimension, he was meet with such a painful and horrible sight of his friend.

Danny's head snap so quick that Wulf worried he might accidentally hurt himself in his weakened state, Wulf could see his once bright eyes full of live has dulled and as big as plate as Danny stare at Wulf for a long minutes. In that long minutes - which is actually just a mere few seconds but it's still to much for Wulf- they could see clearly of the cores (the cores of Danny's children who couldn't develop properly and fully because of the lack of nutriens from his human half and and there's even few wulf could see to have almost fully developed, yet they didn't make it), the cores of ghostlings that the more wulf looked at them the more pain he felt for his Prince, his friend.

Then wulf also took notice of the woman beside Danny, who seems to be the source of the other voice that has tried to soothe and calm him as she was giving Wulf a look that wulf know so well. After all, everyone in the Realm has the same expression on their face as well as wulf themselves. Then wulf got a handful of crying halfa who finally let the dam lose, wulf only hold him gently but firmly and cradle him in his paws and closely to his chest letting his core huum and thrum to soothe him.

Not long after he fell to uneasy sleep out of exhaustion, in his hand clutching one of the cores that has almost fully developed. Wulf know what that means, it was his first child. The very first one that he manage to keep until his body unable to sustain his body anymore and fail him right when his child has a fully matured core. This is unfair.

Wulf cried silently as they cradle their friend and mourn for him, for his children for all the innocent cores that never got to mature and took for to explore the infinite realm and know about their wonderful carrier, wulf mourn for his friend that has to went through hell of the hell and yet never catch a break, wulf mourn for his friend as he lost his bright and livelihood as he lost his wonder and curiosity, wulf mourn for the ghostling that has to went through so much and has to went through a pain of a carrier because those from the realm have a hard time to have their own little ghostling and that having ghostling was a delicate and painful process, yet their friend went through it over and over while he's losing all of his ghostling.

Wulf didn't know for how long they were sitting there holding Danny protectively in their paws but the woman from before has already left, having put the many many cores that was scatered around and burrying half of him on the ground inside the box. It was left near them with blankets inside it, as if to keep the cores warm and comfortable- wasn't that a thought? Wulf couldn't help but wonder, was Danny's mind filled with the what if of his children cooing and giggling as he played with them? Wulf didn't entertain that thought as he feared for the pain it would cause them. Their core aches the loss.

Danny would love to give his children a proper graves and places to rest but that is a future problem, for now? It is time for Danny Phantom to come home.

Constantine woke up with a killer headache as he tried to open his eyes with effort, he groans at the stabbing pain to his eyes. He lay down with eyes closed for them minutes before he could sit up with sore muscles and pounding head.

He felt like something big is around the corner of the ready to pounce on him yet not him at the same time.

"Uuuugh... Fucking demons.. "

He rub his temple and tried to stand up, he staggers and fall face first with a pained grunt.

"My~ my~ who would've thought the John Constantine is so weak he couldn't even stand upon waking up?"

His head snap up so fast he could hear his neck crack loudly, 'that's gonna hurt later'

"Lucifer" he growl out as he hastily stand up to get some sambelance of control over his uncooperative body.

Lucifer only laughter at his attempt as he sit by the single sofa at the end of the bed.

"Don't worry Constantine, I'm not here for you. I have another more important agenda" he waves his hand dissmisively with a smirk.

Constantine narrow his eyes in suspicion yet he couldn't rack his brain hard enough to think of what else this demon wanted from him other than his mess and bad decisions caught up to bite his ass?

Then suddenly, the relaxed demeanor and playful smirk vanish as Lucifer's eyes turn cold and staring him down as if he's staring at his soul - he probably is - and with such jab and ferocious he spoke.

"You mortals has played with something you shouldn't have messed with, you hurt one of ours. You hurt the concept of Balance and cause them so much grief, pain and agony. This is a warning, the one and only so listen carefully and make sure your cute little band of heroes know this Johnathan Constantine"

Slowly his voice turn into something distorted and less human as furry and rage filled his eyes.

"Prepare for retribution, prepare for judgement, prepare to pay for the sins you have committed towards the Hight Prince of Infinite Realm. For the Armageddon shall see to it, their Prince would get justice. Three moons later, when the sun sleep and stars shine brighter than the day you will face your punishment."

Then in burst of hell flame he vanish, leaving behind a big torch on the floor and a very much terrified alkoholic smoker

Might I add that in my mind, the supranatural and magical world is not one with infinitely Realm, like they're on a different layer but the ancients in the Realm is like godly beings born from a concept (I read this on a prompt but I can't remember where! If someone knows and remember please tell me so I can tag them and give credit (´；д；`) please) so they're like the geek mythology and all but more powerful since... Y'know, the ded part? Even though they're kinda like a different species, I'm not genius enough to come up with something for that sooooo

And the head canon I thought of is that for the supernatural and Realm occupants, having their own child is hard and children are very sacred for them. That's why the supernatural has lots of hybrid and another way to gain more of their kind, because reproduction is just an option that has a high risk. Doesn't mean they never tried or ban it, just have a low success rate is all and a high risk as well as fragile pregnancy.

Danny being able to get pregnant over and over again was because of his halfa status and what with Tim got turned into one, I thought it's kinda like they have the resonance and DNA and their would mark to reinforce it.

So the supernatural kinda go feral since Danny is still a child in the Realm culture and he got impregnated then have miscarriage until he's reaching a the teenagers age by the Realm standard is a big crime, especially since he's the High Prince, they may not have a good or close relationship with the Infinite Realm cuz of the previous King but the next future King wasn't bad. There was supposed to have a meeting to sort out the past problem caused by the former King between Lucifer and the High Prince right before his disappearance.

Coupled with their most sacred, taboo and big no no thing to commit against was done so many times.

Children are sacred being that is bestowed upon them and are a blessings.

You should never attempt at children.

Even Danny's rough gallery before wasn't really trying to hurt him since some of them was also children that's couple decades older than him, or some older ones that tried to teach him. They have a different way of teaching a newly formed children and it was with fighting where they would subtly correct them and nudge them to the right place to get better, this was done to taught them how to defend themselves and survive. After all, not all would be kind the same with humans where there's good then there'll also be bad.

So...anyone remember that version of the Rejected Soulmate AU where Danny turns Tim into a Halfa against his will and Tim developed picture powers and trapped Phantom in a painting?

Well I do and I'm about to make it everyone else's problem.

When Danny is finally released from the painting he is not okay. He had been trapped in an attic where pretty much no one went to and then everyone outright avoided for years.

He was essentially stuck in solitary confinement for Ancients know how long. People don't just walk away from that and get to be perfectly sane afterwords. Whats more was that Dannys core was damaged right before being picturefied. Usually the damage sustained would have been nothing more than the equivalent of a skinned knee but being surrounded on all sides by the essence or not only another ghost but another Halfa...well...when two ghosts mix thier essences together they can create a new core.

A baby.

Unfortunately for Phantom both of them were Halfas and Danny had no access to human requirements such as food and water.

Phantoms body couldn't handle the strain of a pregnancy and he had a miscarriage. Worse still, he was constantly surrounded by Tim's essence so he just...kept getting pregnant and kept having miscarriage after miscarriage. When Danny was released he sobbed. It wasn't unusual so hear sobbing or crying from what was dubbed "Dannys room" all around him were the empty cores of the children he had lost, splayed across the floor without a glow and without a life. He looked up at the wall he had been hanging on and saw a distinct discoloration where his portrait used to be. For the love of the Ancients, how long had be been trapped there??

Danny eventually managed to calm down and went over to one of the boxes that hadn't been touched since Alfred stopped coming he tried not to think about that and quietly dumped the contents out onto the floor and used the box to gather up the so many far too many cores.

He would hold a funeral for them all at a later date, but for now he needed to escape the manor.

Sneaking down the stairs he kept his senses sharp. There seemed to be no one in the manor and it appeared to have been that way for quite some time. Alfred would rise from the grave himself if he knew how much dust had accumulated in his absence.

Danny walked past a puddle on the living room floor absently noting the large stain on the ceiling that periodically let a drop splash down into the dampness below. What had happened here? Clearly Tim hadn't died the rest of the way anytime soon after locking Danny up and throwing away the key, so what was up with the manor? How long had Danny been gone? Did they abandon him along with the house? That thought sent his stomach churning.

He knew Tim didn't want him. He had been okay with that so long as he played with him. Most soulmate bonds were platonic and Danny wasn't above pestering someone for attention. Red Robin had almost always seemed annoyed by his presence though and never really gave him a chance even when he seemed to be having fun with whatever "mini game" he had constructed (he made sure to base them off of Reds own hobbies and likes) he had seemed to be holding himself back. Tim never opened up to Danny.

Now Danny was the one trying to avoid Tim as he slipped out one of the manors secret passageways. Thank you old school money and your paranoid aristocrats. He wondered it Bruce even knew of all the secret passageways the Phantom had scoped out in Wayne Manor as he slipped out of a bush behind some old house on another property. Judging on how he had to phase his way out of the hidden door and under the bushes roots he'd go out on a limb and guess no one had used this one in quite a while.

He decided to still stick to the shadows. Even if he had escaped the manor it didn't change the fact that if Tim didn't already know he escaped he would soon enough and would be out looking for him with the rest of the furry patrol.

What about Hood? Did he still hate him? Danny wasn't even sure what went wrong. One day they were friends and then the next he wouldn't even look at him. Did Tim say something? Would he stoop so low? Either way he didn't think Hood would help him. He could feel Hoods Ecto-signature over in the direction of Crime Alley so he couldn't have been trapped for two long, right?

Wrong. So so wrong. According to the date on the electronic billboard he had been trapped for 133 years. Ancients. In other news Tim Drake had been attacked and fallen into a coma not too long ago, which would explain why Danny was free and not being chased. That and his collar that hid his ecto signature. Every day he's thankful for it.

Now would be the best time to leave Gotham. Now while everyone is distracted and Tim can't shove Danny back into his own private Hell.

By the time Tim realizes Danny is missing he will already be long gone.

References to Previous Final Fantasies in Dawntrail

Or, how 9 + 11 + 6 = 14, somehow. (SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY)

I've played every mainline FF, plus a few others, so one of my favorite things about playing XIV is seeing what they do with previous FFs, and how they incorporate it into the world/story. Dawntrail very very much did this, to the point that I could literally predict plot points before they happened. (THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT I LOVED THIS)

So I figured I would put down my fanboying in text form, for people to read the insanity of a madman who has played too many JRPGs from a single series.

Note: I have not completed every single side quest, but I have done the entire MSQ, every dungeon, and 3/5 of the role quests. This isn't a complete collection, just what I noticed :)

Krile's "real name" is Maya. The original Krile in FFV was Krile Meyer Baldesion. (XIV might also have the middle name but I don't remember! I'm gonna put it here regardless!)

VI

Valigarmanda is the first Esper you encounter in VI, right at the start of the game. Its summon attack is Tri-Disaster. I really liked how they kept it frozen in ice, just like the original, and because Tri-Disaster is a SMN ability, they changed it to Tulidisaster to fit the Tural location.

Pictomancer was first in VI as well, being Relm's job. She even got to be in XIV as well, being credited as the Archon who created the art (HA). Shoutouts to the Relm reborn joke it needed to happen

IX

One of the two most important games in this expansion. There is A Lot here.

The preorder bonus/deluxe edition had a Wind-Up Zidane and Garnet, the two main protagonists of FFIX.

Alexandria is lifted directly from IX. The name, the style of the buildings, and even the castle with the crystal popping out of the top, shown in the dungeon and in Yesterland in Living Memory.

(This is the Dissidia NT version, but I wanted a picture that showed the castle and the roof architecture)

Solution Nine is named after one of Zidane's Dyne abilities. While not direct, Living Memory, the final zone, is very reminiscent of Memoria, the final dungeon of IX. I wonder if you can get a special sword by completing the entire MSQ in under 2 hours?

Living Memory also features quite a few locations from IX. The Canal Town looks very similar to Treno, and features a location called the Daguerreo Medical Collection, named after the city as well. Underneath Proto Alexandria in Yesterland, where the data terminal lies, looks very similar to the part of Alexandria Castle where Steiner can grind to level 99 (I don't know how else to describe it if you know you know). In the Windspath Gardens lies the Cleyra Museum of Nature, also named after the IX city.

Some quest text in Living Memory tells you about other locations in the Unlost World. Lindblum, the city that holds hunts and is very technologically advanced; Conde Petie, where the Dwarves are from (mentioned by a Milalla who said he was from there), and the Iifa Tree. There might even be more here, that I either missed or haven't done yet.

Another quest has you go on a treasure hunt for a password. This password? "I Want to Be Your Canary", the play from FFIX.

Solution Nine has a couple buildings with monsters from IX as signs. One building features a Mu (Which is also mentioned in Living Memory), and another building features Yans, both friendly and not friendly.

Another monster that I noticed a reference to was the Gimme Cat, which is featured on the popcorn in Living Memory. It's also mentioned as an energy drink, but called a "Gimme Bat" instead? I guess it does have bat wings.

While XIV doesn't have any direct plot important characters from IX, the ones we do have are very reminiscent of its cast, and clearly are done like that on purpose.

Otis is Steiner (with maybe a little tiny bit of Beatrix depending on how you look at it). Captain of the Knights of Alexandria, he speaks in an older fashion, similar to Steiner, and is very loyal to his princess.

Sphene is an interesting mix. The most obvious one is Garnet, both being Queens of Alexandria, being named after stones, and loving their people. The other one, which might be argued isn't intended, is Garland.

(No, not those guys. The other one.)

Garland in IX is an artificial being whose purpose is to continue his world's life. To do this, he would try to fuse Terra (his planet), with Gaia (the main planet), and control Gaian souls for Terra instead. What did Sphene do? Try to fuse her reflection with the Source, to use their souls for her own people. I personally think this is a very clear similarity.

In general, because of this similarity, the latter half of Dawntrail shares very similar themes with IX's plots, dealing with death and souls. I also think it's pretty funny that both start out pretty happy and cartoony, and end fairly depressing and existential.

Another plot point used in the MSQ is the play sequence. While IX's is based off love, and XIV's is the history of Alexandria, both feature a sword fight scene. (99 out of 100 nobles approve).

Finally, several songs from IX are used in Dawntrail. In the above mentioned play, Swords of Fury plays, just like the original. And a few scenes later, Vamo'alla Flamenco (previously used for the DNC quests) plays, though it should have been during the sword fight!! Prima Vista Orchestra and Fleeting Life are used in several scenes, usually involving Sphene. Something to Protect also appears, but in a scene I can't recall. Finally, the Court Jesters' theme gets a remix as the main song in the Strayborough Deadwalk.

X

There is a singular joke in Heritage Found made about dodging lightning bolts right before the flash so they don't hit you. The person who wrote this line wanted to induce PTSD in as many people as they could with only a single line of dialogue.

XI

The other most important game in the expansion. In a way, Dawntrail FEELS like it could have been an XI expansion in another lifetime. I might be looking too much into it, but I feel as though this was foreshadowed back in the first patch of Endwalker, as Dawntrail takes A LOT from the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion.

In Endwalker, the Alzadaal's Legacy dungeon was based off of the Alzadaal Underwater Ruins in Aht Urhgan. The dungeon used many models from XI, such as the Rampart, the Xzomit (hell yes!), and the Acrolith. The dungeon had a visual similarity, as well as the areas in the dungeon being named after zones in Aht Urhgan (Bhaflau Thickets, Arrapago Reef, and Mount Zhayolm). I know this is Endwalker and not Dawntrail but trust me it's important for the foreshadowing.

Gulool Ja Ja was a boss in the Besieged mode of ToAU, leading the Mamool Ja Savages to assault Al Zahbi. Both incarnations of this character are VERY different from each other.

Similarly, Gurfurlur was also a boss in Besieged, leading the Troll Mercenaries. It's very funny to me that both of these warmongers became such nice people in Tural.

The Yok Huy as a whole are actually Trolls from XI. The different name I assume coming from the fact that Trolls are already an enemy in XIV, in Labyrinthos.

While this isn't direct, and is probably unintentional, the fact that the final boss in Vanguard was a naga/lamia like entity only makes me wonder if it was somehow a callback to Medusa and the Undead Swarm, the last remaining Besieged invaders.

Zoraal Ja is a Notorious Monster in the areas around Aht Urhgan.

To continue on with Mamool Ja facts, Mamook is an area in ToAU. They don't look very similar, but they do both share the title of Autarch as their ruler. Mamool Ja in general come from XI, so it's no surprise that in the expansion that well, expands on them, it uses XI for inspiration.

This next one might be a little insane. The general plot of Treasures of Aht Urhgan, is that after killing Promathia, a god that wishes to end all life, the Adventurer goes to a completely different area to have a relatively calmer adventure. Here, they meet a female member of royalty named Aphmau. Her brother, Razfahd, unable to rule over the country, has a conquering nature, and uses an Automaton body to control Alexander for his goals. This... can't be a coincidence, right?? We kill the Endsinger, who wanted to end all life, go to a completely different area to have a relatively calmer adventure with our female member of royalty, Wuk Lamat, and we fight against Zoraal Ja, her war hungry brother that is unable to rule, so he uses the power of Alexandria (a mech suit) for his goals. You... you see what I'm cooking here right??? RIGHT!?!?!

To piggyback off of this, Wuk Lamat very much fits the role of the XI heroine. A girl who is very clearly the main character of the story, and hangs around you more than anyone else.

Edit: one last thing that I forgot to put down before posting, one of the hunts uses the Magic Pot model from XI. We love Magic Pot.

I THINK that should be everything I found? I know for a fact we're going to get more since the Alliance Raids are based of off XI (I'm so excited)

XIII

A couple enemy models were used from XIII.

The Silver Lobos in Urqopacha use the XIII model. I'm fairly sure they've never been used in XIV yet, but I could be wrong.

Similarly, the Strayborough Deadwalk uses the Gremlin/Ahriman enemies. I do not think they've been used before this, feel free to yell at me if I'm wrong :)

Type-0

While not like, direct, the concept of erasing the memories of anyone who has died (especially seen as a blessing) was a major plot point of Type-0's world.

I think that's everything? My memory isn't the greatest, so I'm sure there's something I noticed that I missed, and again; I haven't done everything, so there might be even more out there that I've yet to find!

I haven't no. I'm not a huge fan of them.

Not on Ao3 no, but back on FF I have. Woke up one morning to a flood of emails from concerned readers flagging a fic that matched one of mine word for word in some areas. Issue was resolved quite quickly though. Bless my readers who kept an eye out for that.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I had some older Robin Hood fic that were translated into Finnish actually! That was a pretty cool experience. So long ago now I don't remember where it was posted (FF I think, and one other site), but it was big thing at that time, esp since I was still in high school.

Several times yes! It can be quite a bit of fun, esp when working to match styles of the other writer(s).

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Once again – Ace, so I'm not too invested in such a thing. That being said, for RDR2, other than canon ships, I do see the appeal of Sadie/Arthur as well as Charles/Arthur, though I write (nor read) either really.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

We're not going to talk about my four unfinished fics, because I'm going to finish them eventually.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told I tend to capture the likeness of certain characters, including dialogue and inner thoughts. I feel like I keep good pacing over longer stories, and that I have the ability to paint vivid scenes to help readers immerse themselves in the story.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I have the inability to write a short fic. Anytime I tell myself 'Oh yeah, that'll only be x words/chapters, it nearly triples in length. Looking at you, Silver and Gold, (aka minibang fic)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done this before with some Spanish when characters were in appropriate situations, where they weren't supposed to know/understand what was being said. I think I've done it once with German, but I could be wrong. I feel it add flavor when done a sparse amount, and not have it be too overbearing for the reader to muddle through.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Lord of the Rings was the first fandom I wrote and actually posted for, though Jedi Apprentice from Star Wars was what got the fanfic train rolling. I rewrote an ending to something that really annoyed me and I felt like I could write it better so I did. That was in the pre-internet era though, so it never made it online. (FF didn't even exist yet!)

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I'm fairly partial to Learning Hurts. It has a mix of what I enjoy (Hurt, comfort, reassurance, growth) and I love the play of the title. Several characters end up learning something over the course of the story, and as implied, those lessons all come with a bit of hurting.

When I first watch the anime I didn't mind the Jotaro ost since in general I don't care about ost usage but now that you mentioned it reeks of fanboyism . I know Jotaro is a symbol for the series but ffs this wasn't his part ,it was about the bonds between the part 6 cast . There should have been a whole new ost together ,maybe a combination between Jolyne+Weather themes since that was what the moment was about . They either got lazy and were searching for excuses or just wanted to shoehorn Joot in there once more .I wouldn't have mind if it wasn't the fandom's overall treatmemt of stone ocean too .Always making everything about the part about him .Sorry for my rant .

See, I definitely don't have a problem with some tracks carrying over from previous parts. It's not even the first time this has happened! "Hidden Feelings" which originated from Phantom Blood's soundtrack appears in Stardust Crusaders, for example. And themes from previous parts getting an adaptation for another part has also been done before, and hilariously with the contested theme in question, Jotaro's. His SDC theme got a more part-appropriate revamp, that matched the tone and style with Diamond is Unbreakable (the track is called "The Stardust Man Appears"). It's never used for other characters besides Jotaro, and only where it works with the scene at hand. This is all very cool! Intentionally selecting or reworking tracks can create a strong through line, and Stone Ocean should be no different.

What makes this especially aggravating regarding the final Emporio versus Pucci fight is not only that they chose Jotaro's theme to placate viewers, but that it's the unchanged, original SDC version of the song. So it's more bombastic, confident, no-fucks-given style, which gelled well with Jotaro laying a final beatdown on whatever Stand User he was fighting in SDC, feels so tonally incoherent to this scared kid cornered by the big bad with a divinity complex, who lost the few people he ever grew close to, in a different universe, in his first fight ever, desperately pulling a victory from the sacrifice/deaths of his friends, and clearly uncaring about what happens to himself afterwards as the second universe collapses in on itself after pummeling Pucci into a fine red paste. Like. How the fuck does that jazzy song with a strumming base guitar pumping up the audience make any narrative sense???

This is so much insult to injury too, because the original songs composed for Stone Ocean, from what we can hear in the anime itself, are really good! But that's the catch: no official soundtrack has yet to be announced, let alone released! So we haven't gotten a chance to really appreciate the few new tracks created for this part because, oops, you have to listen to it via the show itself (and bless the fans who attempt to extract the music from the show, but the quality understandably takes a hit). And the saddest part? It's clear that there aren't that many new songs, or at least it doesn't feel that way given how many reused tracks I could recognize from previous parts (mostly part 3, some part 1).

But getting back to the rest of your ask (sorry, I clearly have Feelings™ about this, lol), yeah, I get that Jotaro is often treated as The Jojo for the series, or at least the original universe. Which is. Eh. I get it, but that's never felt accurate to the generational aspect that sustains Jojo's enduring longevity. And I love Joot! I do. But second only to that specific segment of the SBR fandom's dudebro diehards who think all other parts are trash, SDC fans truly think that every part, including parts 4-6, exist in service of part 3. And so this use of the track incidentally or otherwise seems to echo this perspective.

The fact that there are people who legitimately think Jotaro is actually the main character (or at least the deuteragonist) in Stone Ocean is peak embarassing. But then you get the final battle using his theme. Cool. Because this victory was Jotaro's, right? It was actually a Jotaro versus Dio fight, part 2 electricboogaloo, yeah? Fuckin' 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I love the idea of a combined Jolyne and Weather theme! Hell, does Emporio even have his own theme?? That would have worked well too, or at least incorporate some notes in there. But alas.

I do chalk a lot of this up to the combination of budget issues, budget constraints, COVID, Netflix, the absolute shitcanning that the animation industry is suffering around the world, and that little dash of SDC favouritism for how this turned out overall. I really don't want to disparage the great work the David Productions crew has done to finally make a Stone Ocean adaptation a reality, particularly when we look at the hurdles it took to get here. I appreciate it so much. Part 6 really does get thrown in the trash by damn near everyone (and having a rather flawed but still enjoyable adaptation has helped people to discover and appreciate this part of the saga, which is a win). But I'm not going to act as though critique is unwarranted. There are a lot of issues, and the music choices are one of them.

Total aside, but I gotta give it to them that at least the two opening songs are absolutely fantastic, and the choice of Duffy's "Distant Dreamer", which I know Araki is responsible for choosing, hits the themes of finding new life and seeing hope and struggle in stride.

Anyway, thanks for the ask! Honestly I appreciated reading the rant, and getting to vent even more on my end.

Lately I have been struggling with the Duolingo's German tree a lot, and for reasons I haven't understood until just now.

Only one part of the problem is that my tree got yet another update recently and it again wiped out some of my progress. Once before I managed to get the golden owl, then my whole progress was wiped and there were so many totally empty skills, starting from even the basics. I did all those and then there was another update that wiped out some of the added skills and meant a big part of the progress I did after the update, was again wiped out because suddenly none of those skills existed anymore.

Then I started working on those remaining skills, eventually getting everything to the 1st level at least. Until there was yet another update a few days ago and now there is a 6th checkpoint which is completely empty. So, I have AGAIN a set of skills to get to the 1st level, most likely lots of stuff that I have already done before, maybe even more than once.

And then the other problem that I noticed much more recently. In fact: today. Just now. So I have this problem with the German tree that I can't progress. I keep making stupid mistakes that cause me to lose all the hearts on app, or my motivation on web. Often those are not even my mistakes, but stuff that is still lacking from Duolingo because the content is still so new. This other day I lost a heart because the word was "Mütze" and I wrote "beanie", and got marked wrong because it wanted the word for "hat". Which in German is "Hut", and "Mütze" is a specific BEANIE-LIKE HAT AND I LOST A HEART FOR USING THE CORRECT WORD FFS

Today I realized that there is also a third (fourth fifth sixth..?) problem: the English used. I am fluent in English but Duolingo is now actually using lots of English words and saying I have never heard before and therefore I can't even KNOW what they mean in German if I don't even know what they mean in ENGLISH, and have to check my dictionary which often does not even know what those are in Finnish because the English word is, say, in spoken language or even slang. It really makes it hard to get through this tree, and discouraging to even try because I'm supposed to be learning German and not English here.

One of the words they use is "to get worked up". And I still don't completely understand what it means, I had English natives (or others who know the word?) to explain the word for me so I kinda understand it now, but the problem is that I always forget about this when the German word appears. And then I use an alternative in English, and Duolingo says no. It just has to be "to get worked up".

And just now I also got another word or saying like this that I can't remember anymore, but it was something I had never heard before and still don't understand the tone of. And somehow I was supposed to know what it means in German. When even an English-German dictionary did not know what it is in German or could not explain it to me.

Btw, are "to concentrate" and "to pay attention" not synonyms? I, also, got marked wrong for writing "konzentriere" for "pay attention" when it should have been "pass auf". But with this I have to blame Finnish. In Finnish we have one word that means both in the context of that sentence ("Pay attention to the homework!"), and then we have another that actually means "to pay attention" but it is used in different contexts only.

Uh, it can be really exhausting to be trilingual and still not speak the 2nd language perfectly either...

Saints row character creator thoughts!!!

Let's get this out of the way:

CONS: - body types still work the same way as in 3 and 4, still no real customization of your body shape. It's not bad, but sucks that they done nothing with it

-- almost no sliders! You select face options from a (very small) list of presets, you can customize them but it basiclly does nothing and there is very little you can play around with. BAD!

-- they abolutley nerfed the breats/groind sliders. In previous game, max boob slider gave you comiclly cartoonish pair of honkers. In here, max breast is just avarage C-cup-ish size. You can argue about sexualization and yada yada, but it's an adult game with violance and sex. They want you do have "freedom in making characters", yet you cand make a guy with big tits. bad.

-- groin slider just makes the crotch area inflate??? It looks really weird when put under any revealing clothing. Im not expecint them to make a realistic cock bulgde ofc, but ffs, it looks like a tumor under your clothes, it's weird.

-- BODY HAIR IS SUCH A GREAT ADDITON! Why is it in cons? Becuse you can't really control it - it's all or nothing. You can't make your character have hairy legs or arms, it's either no body hair or you are hairy all over. It's not some sort of big deal, but i still think it would be cool to let you customize it more, especially since it would not be that difficult to just segment the hair and let you pick on/off which parts you want.

-- hairstles and beard styles are really, really lacking. Im hoping that it's just for the demo and the full game will have some more, but for now... eh. Also, why can't i flip the hair? The game already has asymetrical face editing, let me flip my bangs bro.

-- Clothing styles are not there. Come on volition, let me pick if i want an open shirt or a closed shirt! Zipped up hoodie or zipped down! It's not that much, please!!! let me have this!!

And now, the PROS:

-- THEY BROGHT BACK THE LAYERED CLOTHES FROM 2!!! FINALLY! i can live with the fact that it has less layers, since the very inclusion of it is great and allowes for so many interesting clothing combinations!!!

-- BODY HAIR, as i said before, it's still a gread additon. it's implemented badly, but i can't deny that i like that it's there.

-- Asymetrical face editing is a cool and fun feature! I haven't played really much with it, but looking at the creatins of other pepole, you can make some really interesting and cool stuff with it. nice!

-- prosthetis are cool, representation and character building potential is a near feature.

And... that's it. Yeah, really.

It is a great character creator, don't get me wrong! I had a lot of fun playing with it, mostly with all the clothes combinations you can pull off. It's still a fun saints row creator!

But that's the problem! After the initial novelty wore off, i can't shake the feeling that i could make the exact same character in the other games. After all the promises of how much of the customization aspect is built for making super unique and craaaazy characters, i feel let down. You can't really play that much the crazy aspect since almost every slider is gone from the game now. And exluding that, it just feels the same as the creator from 3 and 4, just with few near features added on top of it - and a lot of features removed.

It's fun, you can make a lot, but it still feels like there could be even more freedom - especially since all the trailers were talking about that freedom, and it's just not really there.

Again - it's fun. But it's like getting your favoured burger with one extra ingidient - it's great, but becuse it's the same thing with extra shit on it - you can barely feel the difference.

I know they said somethjing about the boss maker not having all of the features from the full game, which gives me hope and interest for the full thing. But still, i doubt it will be much different for maybe, more hairstyles and some bonus clothes. Not beliveing that they saved key componets for the full game, its dumb.

Still waiting for the game, still "somewhat" interested. We'll see how it playes out.

PART 1) I'm the anon that asked about tips on how to be a better writer. I just wanted to say thank you. I have not started writing yet, but just reading through the tips page you linked me to, I already feel better about the concerns I have about my writing. I want to start writing because, as much as I love the EXO fics I have read, there are still things that I would like to read, but I just haven't found yet or has not been written. And if there is one person, there is bound to be many more.

PART 2) I have seen a few cross group fics, but just not with cross group pairings I’d like, pairings within the group I feel like I don’t see enough of, and storied within genres I’d like to see more of. All that being said, I have my really big ideas that, if done correctly, will be awesome. But I’d like to start a little smaller. So can you list some things that you feel or that readers feel there is not enough of? Pairings or genres?

PART 3) I’m sorry to be so annoying. But I have one more question. I like smut. I like depictions of sex in the stories I read. I like it most when the sex comes from a build up of a connection between characters and leads to something. But I cannot even begin to think about how to write a proper sex scene that actually means something to the story. Any tips? Any links to explanations on how to do that? Again, so so so sorry!

I’m so happy that you found my reply so useful and that it motivated you to start writing! That’s amazing.

Now to address some things that you didn’t ask for, but I can tell they might interest you.

This is something I struggle a lot with. You finally come to terms with your insecurities and decide to start writing and your mind is overflowing with ideas and you start writing them down, and you’re so impatient to do everything that in the end... you do nothing. My point is to take things slow. Start with a story (a small story) and devote to the story, don’t let your mind wander aimlessly to other ideas. I mean, if you suddenly have an awesome idea then, of course, write it down, but before investing all your thought on it, please give what you started a chance.

And I don’t mean to finish everything you started. If you don’t like something, if something is not working out, if it stresses you out, if you’re not happy anymore with it then, by all means, abandon it. This is meant to bring you joy. But what happens to me is that when I encounter the first obstacle in my story, when I’m stuck, my mind goes to other stories. I don’t try to fix it. I reached a point when I didn’t finish anything. That’s why I recommend writing for fests, most of my stories are written for fests because it creates a sense of responsibility. When I encounter an obstacle, I try to fix it, because... I have to present something right? But this is my personal tip, do what works for you.

And trust me, not finishing your stories will happen to you if you don’t write things you like. Asking us for things that we feel we need as a fandom community is so subjective. What I feel we are missing is completely different to what admin Ana feels or admin Ellen, or any of our followers. And most important, you. And besides, what’s wrong with writing things that are common? Start with a small and fluffy domestic story. Or a funny high school au. Write what you like. If you don’t, then your mind will always wander around the “big” projects you want to write and the rest will be like a chore. If you want to start small, find an inspiration and write something small, no matter how common of a trope/ship it is.

Also, if your awesome ideas don’t work out because it’s something you feel the ff fandom is lacking and not something that you enjoy writing, then please abandon it. E.g. what we are lacking is omega/omega stories, that is a fact. But do you like a/b/o? And if you do... do you feel inspired to write an omega/omega story? Would you enjoy it more if you read it or if you wrote it? Don’t feel obliged to write it just because there are not enough stories out there like this.

And to answer the last question (you are not annoying don’t worry), if you can’t write a sex scene... it’s okay? You don’t need smut to make your fic worthy. And because I’m not an expert on this either, I don’t usually decide if a fic is going to be rated or not when I start writing it. As you said, I have to feel that it flows naturally, so if that happens then I write it.

Actual advice that works for me is listening to white noise. But maybe that works for me because I have ADHD, I don’t know, but it really helps me with rated scenes. The noise helps me to focus only on what I write and not get flustered or embarrassed or start thinking “what the hell am I doing”. I just write and I have to come to terms with what I created when I go back to edit, haha.

Studying what you like on other author’s rated scenes goes without saying. Just study a scene you reaaaally love and try to think why. Is it the pacing? The words used? The way the characters interact?

I try not to, and if you do it and knowing the translation is important, add it right there. There is zero chance that I'll scroll all the way down to the end notes just to parse together what's happening.

I've got to be honest, I get where you're coming from but I think a lot of people reblogging this are coming from a different angle- they're not farming to subsist/survive, building houses, or doing other things that actually contribute real meaning and help to society {as one would've done before capitalism}. I think what's annoying to most is that we have the technology and awareness nowadays to make things so much better and progress so much, so that those necessities can be taken care of by things that don't manipulate people's lives to the point that they can't make meaningful contributions out of them, but instead they're selling luxuries, convenience, obsolete modes of work, and subservience to people who don't value those real hours put in and don't pay them enough to live comfortably {not struggling to make rent, getting healthcare when needed, etc.}

Nothing is black or white, there are likely those that fall in between or outside the two extremities of thinking, but this is my take: unnecessary labour, not enough pay to live, hours of life gone, meaningful contributions and ability to meaningfully pursue happiness EXTREMELY minimalized {and this just for abled people}, yet you have to show up with a smile and tell employers how much you love taking customer abuse and shucking your true personality for 40 hours a week {not in those words, of course} because nothing other than the current modes of society dictate it's either that, or homelessness.

There can be nice facets of the job you like, like certain customers or certain parts of your job that you like doing, but holding onto the little things as a way to make it through the day is a bit bleak when you know it doesn't have to be like this.

Also, this isn't meant to be condescending in the slightest, but please look up "wage slavery" if you haven't already.

I don't think I know everything and I don't think that I personally am above slave labour- I think that I CAN think and so I should, and that the way these things are approached in modern society can be damaging to anyone- I don't want to see ANYONE running themselves physically and emotionally ragged to barely afford an apartment and food and internet {including you, if that's your case}. Not even being merely above the poverty line is enough. No one should work that hard and give up that much of their life a week and not make enough to live in comfort. It wouldn't bother me if hard working fast food workers could afford houses next to those of surgeons. {The job of the surgeon is more important than the job of a fast food worker- but as long as there are people demanding there must be ff workers and as long as they are giving up as much of their lives and labour, what more are they supposed to give and why should they be punished for filling a role that people currently demand be filled?}. I don't care if my parents and their parents did it before me. Struggling to get by isn't some axiom to be obeyed, it's something humans wrote into law, and it's something that can be unwritten. This is known, consciously or subconsciously, by many.

But in interviews you have to be like yes! I love doing This and am The Best at it and I wouldn't want it Any other Way.

I think that's the angle, rather than thinking they're just Above Any Work.
