it may not be evident at first phases of your relationship together, but shouta has grown a certain appreciation when plans cancel.

sure, it’s nice to get out of the house once in a while. and there’s no doubt in the world that any chance he gets to spoil you by reserving your favorite restaurant for a night out, or booking a getaway for the two of you, he’s going to take it with pleasure. yet…the older he gets, the more he appreciates the time spent at home with you.

there’s something healing to him in the way you gently pull him back into the covers on those lazy mornings, the initial plans you both had made for an early breakfast now a million miles away as you snuggle yourself back into his chest.

he swears he can see that sly little smile of yours thinking a false ‘hmm, maybe tomorrow morning…’ even through his own groggy eyes. but who is he to complain? there isn’t a world that exists where aizawa wouldn’t want to have you curled up next to him, like a cat who gets everything they want.

maybe it was a bad habit…at least some would probably say. but to him, any habit that gave him an opportunity to have more time with you was worth keeping around, even if it meant tempting many plans that you’d share in the future.
