graveyards are places of history and memory WHY did we let them become creepy-coded
#i don't understand the “oh that's morbid and uncomfortable” attitude towards cemeteries! just don't!#like have you ever taken a walk in an old country graveyard and thought about the lives of all the people who rest there and who died befor#you were even born and just let that wash over you ?#have you visited one with friends and quietly and reverently walked among the tombstones and read the epitaphs and gently made the graveyar#a place of life and new memories as well as death and old ones?#or do you not realize that death is not the end?#and that acknowledging the people who lived and worked and loved in this little town five or ten or two hundred years ago is beautiful?#anyway I have opinions about graveyards apparently.
