autumn winds chapter ten: our strength.
Autumn sighed in relief as she heard the door shut, the man had left. "Autumn? Autumn?! Where are you?!" Frisk panicked. Autumn rushed around the corner of the brick cell, opened frisks cell and pulled her into a warm embrace. [*It's ok buddy, I'm fine.] Autumn pet frisks hair gently, frisk then burried her face into autumn's shoulder. Pulling away, the two then sat down on the bed. Frisk gave a frustrated sigh. "Why is he doing this?! He never even told me! It's annoying right?" Frisk looked at autumn for an answer. Autumn shrugged. [*Yeah, i mean, every villain explains their plan, you can't kill people without reason.] "Thank you!" Frisk says throwing her arms in the air while looking at autumn. Frisk then burried her face in her hands and let's out a frustrated sigh. "Just my luck, my parents die, i fall down a hole and meet a guy who tries to kill me cause I'm human! What a joke." Autumn then puts her arm over frisks shoulder. Pulling her close to her side, resting frisks head on her shoulder. [*Frisky, is ok. We'll stop this guy, how about, next time we face him, we find out just what his deal is, ok? Hehehe, tell you what, let's have some music playin.] Autumn then reached into her backpack and pulled out her phone, noticing a few missed calls and seventy texts from her parents. Autumns face paled but straightened, suddenly her phone buzzed again, it was her mother, Maria. Bandy and Nona came in and sat down with their backs facing the wall, autumn sighed and pressed the answer button, while also putting on speaker phone, holding it out so the others can hear. [*Mom?] Autumns mother answered quickly. "Oh my sweet skies!! Autumn!! My baby! You're ok! I thought the worst sweetness!" Said autumn's mother in a relieved tone. Autumn blushed in embarrassment. [*I'm fine mom really, i just needed some time alone for a bit..] Maria then spoke Again. "Oh alright sweetness. Just be home soon ok? We're all terribly worried about you." Autumn then remembered something. [*Oh uh mom, frisks with me.] "Oh that's wonderful Sweets, the police are looking for her, they mentioned foster care." Said Maria, frisk tensed up at the memory. [*Well mom, i was wondering, if..Um... Would it be ok if..We adopted frisk into our family? She hasn't got anybody else and i know she'll be happy with us, please?] There was a short moment of silence, until Maria answered. "Of course we'll welcome her autumn, she'll make a wonderful addition to our family." Frisks eyes welled up in tears as she spoke. "Thank you so much Mrs windsfield!" Said frisk in a teary tone. "You're welcome frisk dear, be home soon autumn, we'll be waiting for you with open arms for when you come back. Be good for me, ok my little honey bee?" With that, the call ended, Nonas eyes suddenly widened. "mana...?" Nona whispered. Autumn then tapped her phone putting on sky high radio playing country songs, most of which were really old, like two thousand and sixteen. One song played called "old self by vintage talk" bandy started to sing along to the lyrics, "everyday i turn back into my old self, everyday i turn, oohhh." Soon enough the others started to sing along, frisk and autumn then sat in silence while the others sang. "Lately I've been growing old, but my mind feels young, ooohh." As the song ended, a new one started. And it went on for a few more songs before "freedom fry 1979" came on, both frisk and autumn sat and listened to the woman's voice sing the lyrics prier to the acoustic tune. Frisk propped herself up with her arms from behind, her hands on the bed while autumn put her arm around frisks shoulder, bandy and Nona had fallen asleep again, frisk looked at autumn, "hey, autumn." Autumn looked at frisk, turning her head in frisks direction. [*Yeah buddy?] Frisk sat up and faced autumn, sitting on her legs. "Why...Do you still care for me? After three years you're still my best friend? I'm not saying it's a bad thing! It isn't! But...It's just been eating at me.." autumn was silent, before sitting up on the bed, sitting on her legs, grabbing frisks hands, intertwining her fingers with frisks, before placing her forehead on frisks gently, closing her eyes, frisk eventually closed her eyes and relaxes, blushing a bit. Autumn then pulled away and smiled. [*Because we are stronger together, we will stop this crazy lady, Together, frisk, the moment i met you, my heart felt like it was gonna explode, all those years, growing up with you, hanging out with you, bonding with you, are my best memories. Frisk, i love you, your the best person I've ever met. Don't listen to that guy, he doesn't know you like i do.] Frisk then tackled autumn into a tight, warm embrace, snuggling into autumns shoulder, autumn's arms wrapped around frisk tightly but gently as not to hurt frisk. Frisk pulled away and nuzzled her nose with autumn's. "I love you too!" Said frisk while blushing. Autumns face was a deep shade of scarlet. A few minutes pass by, Autumn then placed her phone back into her backpack before taking off her converse and placing them next to frisks combat boots, autumn then yawned and climbed into the bed, frisk getting in shortly after, frisk then cuddled up to autumn, autumn then pulled the covers over them both, autumn was lying on her back, frisk laying on her side, eventually, darkness consumed them both as they fell into a deep sleep, meanwhile, Nona was having a nightmare, the nightmare consisted of Nona playing with her toys, her mother being in the kitchen cooking soup, suddenly, a voice enters. {*Mom! I'm going out! I'll be back later.} Said the voice, "alright #%@£#, just don't do anything silly." Said Nonas mother. In Nonas eyes, her arms reach out and grip the girls dress. The dress was bright blue with a pink stripe around the waist. "Mana! Mana!" The girl looked down, her face was blurred out due to Nonas memory loss, but her voice was familiar. {*Ok honey bee, have fun on your picnic with mommy ok? I'll be back soon!} The girl then untied a ribbon from her hair and tied it into a bun in Nonas hair, making Nona giggle. {*Hows about you cook me something for when i get home?} Nona hopped up and down before grabbing a plastic tomato and attempting to cut it with her toys knife. "I'll make mana goodies!" When Nona came back into the room, mana and her mother were arguing. {*I don't see why it's such a big deal!} "Damn it #£@%! Why can't you just cooperate?!" Her mother yelled. {*I dunno, maybe because i don't want to!} With that, mana stomped out of the house towards her friends who were waiting, Nona quickly rushed outside "mana! Mana!" Tears began to well up in Nonas eyes as she fell to the concrete floor, looking up and watching her older sister and her friends drive away. Calling her name, begging for her to come back, suddenly, Nonas eyes shot open, tears were streaming down her face, Nona looked around before putting her hand up to grasp the ribbon tied into her hair. "mana.."
To be continued...
[*Knowing that your bond with frisk has grown stronger fills you with COURAGE]

Bee to Roman: "I have a right to know whats going on!" (and gurl u kno what i mean but . . . u can do whatever with this lmao)
“I have a right to know what’s going on!”
They never fought. For any couple, this was an accomplishment. For a couple involving Roman, this was a miracle. He’d found all throughout his life that there was a certain quality to him that made him difficult to get along with; even in lieu of a problem arising, he had a penchant for digging at the rawest parts of a person. The patience of a Saint, Passero. That’s what his mother had said of Bee when she’d met her. His mother liked Bee. He liked Bee.
And yet, they were fighting.
It’d started small: bickering. That, at least, they did often. With Bee it was a sign of affection, the exchange of a fond comment darkened with teasing, the return of an unexpectedly witty reply. “You’re so nosy,” He’d said, tilting his phone screen away from her prying eyes beside him. “You’re always so suspicious.” She’d said back, and he’d taken it as a challenge, a joke. Locked his screen.
Usually he was good in these situations; Roman was so used to being on offence and defense at the same time, practiced at dishing out and never accepting what was given back. It takes ten thousand hours to master a skill, words from Mr Juarez back in high school that had ticked around in Roman’s head during multiple hours of multiple days spent fine tuning instruments and straining to high notes. He figured he’d spent much longer fighting than he’d ever spent trying to be good at something.
It was different with Bee. He was taken off guard. Even now, he found himself with a finger reaching for a lock of her hair, hands confused not to be doing what they did for her so often: caress, embrace. Even when they shouldn’t have, when they should have been focused on someone else.
That roadtrip they’d taken, he’d shown her his home, where he’d grown up. Roman Agnello, is this your little girlfriend? And they’d joked, yes, and before long he’d wanted that. Wanted that more than he’d wanted something outside of simple ambition for a long time. He’d felt comfortable with her, wanted her to know him -- he’d showed her all of the places that he never went back to, because they were all him.
Douggie. What was then a harmless insight into Roman’s past was now an uncomfortable breach of privacy. This was where we used to meet, this was where we hid from everyone, this was where he worked, this was where they crashed. This was where I thought I loved him for the first time. He wished he could take it back, all the love he’d expressed for a ghost. But there was the issue: Douggie was always in his thoughts, and Bee was always the person he wanted to share his thoughts with. A to B, it was a simple leap. And he’d gotten so used to thinking of Douggie in the past tense, accepted that he’d never come back, never be something for Bee to think twice about. And then.
I don’t know. That was the reply that came to him. After, when that was deemed unworthy, Nothing. But he thought of a night spent on Douggie’s chest, listening to his breath, laughing at his words. He couldn’t say it, didn’t want to lie. Didn’t want her to be through with him. He tugged gently on a curl of her hair. It bounced up and away from his touch.
“Bee,” He said, and his eyes were on her lips, debating kissing them, debating burying words and replacing them instead with touch. With physicality, surely she’d understand his affection. To her, he was warm. On her, he was coming to depend. Wasn’t that enough? But the edges of her lips -- pink, soft, plump -- were turning down. A setting of her mouth, a resistance. Against what? Saying something else? “It’s not like that.”
Vague. It could have meant anything, or nothing. But it was all he had. He worked at it.
“Just believe me. I’m with you. I wouldn’t do that.” That, which he’d done to Aila. That, which had seemed so doable when his feelings for her had faded, when another connection seemed stronger.
A distant memory of Douggie’s hands in a girls hair, of his phone lighting up with someone else’s name.
Something uncomfortable turned in his stomach. A thumb traversed Bee’s chin, offered itself to her cheek.
“You know everything. I’ve told you all of it. I’m not keeping anything from you, okay? I wouldn’t.”
