i love thancred and adaline's relationship theyre awful
#.text#adaline rozovy#ffxiv#love them sm. from them being good friends in arr to constantly angry at each other in hw-shb#arr addie and thancred are such good friends. there Friends u know. and the whole thing w lahabrea was so. mwah. chefs kiss#desperately fighting against someone u love while their body is being possessed..... probably forced to make the decision to kill them#lest they destroy the world........ trying to earnestly to save them that you almost die in the process..................#and then after prae everything is seemingly fine and theyre both doing good. addie thinks she's finally moving on from what happened to her#in garlemald and she has friends now a family and she's helping people and maybe she doesnt remember who she was but she#knows who she is now. and then the end of arr... she watches her friends seemingly die one by one#she keeps up the act for alphinaud and tataru. she cant just destroy their hopes after all. but she doesnt have any herself#haurchefant keeps her. above water. in a metaphorical sense and a literal sense ❤ projecting a little too much there but#anyway. shes starting to do fine again. she falls a little in love with haurchefant. a lot in love. a lot#and then he uh. u know. he uh. whoops.#and she's Definitely Not Fine again! with haurchefants death and all of her anger and grief finally building up and finding fray so soon#after the vault and then ysayle and then its seemingly over. it calms down. but she doesnt heal#and she finds thancred again. the besties are back. except almost immediately after they find out minfilia's Gone For Good so now we have#thancred in mourning and adaline in mourning times 4 and theyre both coping in opposite ways but still both badly. very badly even#hw thancred is so angry. hes muted. always doing something and always doing something Reckless as if trying to feel something other than#sadness. and addie is. she's still angry. shes so angry. part of being a drk u know? but she also just. doesnt care anymore#if it gets her hurt it gets her hurt. if she dies she dies. it doesnt really matter to her anymore#and that pisses him off SO much. like soo so so much. he hates her a little for it. he thinks shes running from her problems and is#making decisions without thinking of the consequences to other people (what woud her FRIENDS think if she died or disappeared?)#and he hates it he hates her now and it doesnt change for a while. it simmers out by the end of 4.0 but after#while theyre finally like. forgiving each other. he kinda goes. woosh. into his little coma. into the first. and as addie watches that#happen to all of her other friends. the only ones left. and she gets skewered on zeno's sword. she goes back into that emptiness she felt#because its like a safety blanket. its familiar. and by the time they meet again thancreds figuring out everything with minfilia#he loves that child. he does. but he doesnt know how to feel. he loves This minfilia but he loves the old one too#and he hates that he has to choose between them and. and then addie's tired. so tired. and angry. and meaner than she used to be.#and i wanna say sm more but i think im running out of tags...... update: i checked and this is in facf my last one. :(
