WHAT GOES TOO LONG UNCHANGED DESTROYS ITSELF. Hathaway's Pokeverse
He is a botanist and Pokemon scholar who studied under Professor Juniper and later Professor Birch as his studies brought him elsewhere (toward biology and plant life versus history and mythology). Though he visited Hoenn for a time, he did return home to Unova. Rubbing shoulders with scientists and scholars in the academic world who shared ideals with Team Plasma changed his outlook and trajectory in his life work. He works closely with Team Plasma while they are active. When the schism happens in PB&W 2, he sides with N. Once inactive, he finds himself working closely with the Aether Foundation after its founding. His involvement with Team Plasma is not widely known. Hathaway studies Pokemon and their relationship to the plants in their environment. Slowly but surely, he is also working on Project Star: a basis for an outfit that holds the belief that humans should make strides in space travel and eventually leave Earth to go to space, leaving the Earth for Pokemon and the environment to prosper. For this reason, he is also researching aerial botany.

Noa is conflicted, some cynical part of him wants to agree--and it's true to a large extent. Between overpopulation, pollution, and the aftermath of the one-year war. The planet had gone through much as a result of humanity's violence, to itself and the planet.
"It doesn't have to be that way... Earth, its people, they could have, they could be so much more." He shares because couldn't imagine this view being unpopular amongst members of the AEUG .
"No man's land…"
"Well—I guess that encompasses the entirety of Earth at this point."

Hathaway did not have a full team for a long time, he had 4 Pokemon (Serperior, Viplume, Leavanny, and Leafeon) - longtime companions that are higher level Pokemon than his two newest companions he met in Alola (Rowlet/Dartrix and Formantis.) He doesn't battle unless he has to, and sees his Pokemon more as research helpers and companions as opposed to anything else.

So incredibly tempted to give Hathaway a Snivy in his Pokeverse. It makes sense to me that he would excel as Professor Juniper's student before anything.

Is there a villainous pokemon team that believes that human should go into space and leave the pokemon to have the planet? If not I'm making one for Hathaway's Pokemon verse

He'd be a scholar for sure. Part of his renown and ability to travel between space colonies and Earth in his mainverse was his expertise in botany. I think in his h.dm verse he'd be planning massive blows against the magisterium. Their traditional ways of approach are not enough to combat the growing issue of climate. Maybe he knows about dust and is like, furious about kids being experimented on. His daemon would be a mink or hawk. it would kinda be cool if he was in "Hathaway's world" first and got stuck in Lyra's world somehow, maybe traveling outside a biome dome in antartica for an expedition/extraction
After I do some rewatching,, a Hathaway h.dm verse might be kind of spicy. He's a eco terrorist and a martyr in his mainverse. and I'm just interested how that would translate to that world
