For most of the afternoon Kai had been out CAMPAIGNING. Working toward getting a seat on the city council was TIME CONSUMING, but he knew that it had to be done. This was the next step toward the REVOLUTION he wanted so badly. He’d been walking through the neighborhood, going door to door trying to secure more votes. Finally, once he reached the LAST house in the neighborhood, Kai went up and knocked on the door. “Excuse me?” He called. “I’d like to talk to you about the CITY COUNCIL vote coming up next week.”

Rose wasn’t afraid of ghost  stories, so buying this house, which was at a steep discount, was not much of a debate. Rose herself was used to being the things that go bump in the night, so it came as quite a shock when her vampire super hearing missed the signs of a teenaged girl sneaking into her kitchen.

After they’d scared the girl that had been bullying Violet at her school, Tate plopped down in the rocking chair in the basement of the house, a little smirk on his lips. But Violet didn’t look happy - wasn’t this supposed to be fun? His face fell and he looked at her, his expression now looking a bit concerned. “What’s wrong? Wasn’t this what you wanted?”
