In cooperation with Intermission, we are pleased to announce this announcement for artists: Intermission is publishing its first call for artists. We are selecting artists for our exhibition Function/Anomy at the Reinickendorf Town Hall, Berlin. In the course of the exhibition our jury will select the most representative ones to be invited to a 1 to 4 weeks art residency in Paduli (IT) in the coming summer. Intermission invites artists to engage with two diametrically opposed public and social contexts: A local government building in Germany`s capital city and the historic centre ofa small Italian town. The exhibition at Reinickendorf Town Hall takes place from 28th March until 16th May. The Residency with a duration of 1-4 weeks starts in mid-June. More details can be found here: www.intermissioncollective.com. intermission@mail.de Im Rahmen des Projekts Function.Anomy lädt Intermission Künstlerinnen und Künstler ein, sich mit zwei diametral entgegengesetzten, öffentlichen und sozialen Strukturen auseinanderzusetzen: Dem Reinickendorfer Rathaus in Berlin (Deutschland) und dem historschen Zentrum von Paduli (Italien). Ziel der Ausstellung ist es, sich mit dem Reinicken- dorfer Rathaus und dessen Funktion als öffentliche Institution auseinanderzusetzen und einen scheinbar vordefinierten Raum aufzubrechen und neu zu definieren. Die aussagekräftigten Arbeiten werden im Anschluss ausgewählt. Deren Künstler haben dann die Möglichkeit, an einer Kunstresidenz in Paduli, im Hinterland von Neapel,teizunehmen. Die dazugehörige Ausstellung im Reinickendorfer Rathaus findet vom 28. März bis 16. Mai 2019 statt. Die Residenz mit einer Aufenthaltsdauer von 1-4 Wochen beginnt in der 2. Juni-Woche und endet in der 2. Juli-Woche. Art uses water as a mirror for the play between abstraction and reality. Whether at rest or motion, colorless or iridescent – water triggers emotions. In his photographs, SaySay.Love celebrates the beauty of the water and everything that hides and reflects in it. What and whom the observers see, they decide themselves. The viewer can participate in the play with the water as in an erotic game.
