For the hasbro 100th anniversary monopoly board. Dungeons and dragons gets a square. With stretch arm strong fighting a dragon to represent it.
I wonder if hasbro's 100th anniversary will do other stuff with dungeons and dragons.

My favourite thing about getting into startrek is that there are so many things I assume are fanon and 95% of the time it’s like, no, it really is Like That™

By virtue of having only two figures that actually have heads under their helmets:
Tumblr media
'give it back, wolffe' 'nah' 'the only reason i'm not shooting you right now is because i don't want to damage my helmet'
also, arc captain rex! painted the pauldron, coulda been smoother, i have no patience, story of my life. it's decent enough for now tho.
it doesn't really fit properly with the helmet, but what's a headshot versus getting to wear a sexy arc pauldron??

You.
Yes you, the one thinking about running a tabletop game but you're tired of running DND and/or you're fed up with Hasbro's bullshit.
You should run Lancer.
Why?
1. MECHS. It's a hard sci-fi far future setting with space magic powered MECHS.
2. Combat is crunchy but there's also a specific rules-light system for narrative roleplay.
3. ONLY THE DM HAS TO BUY ANYTHING. All the player side materials are 100% FREE.
4. Massif press publishes their own incredible character building site called CompCon. You can even import homebrew!
5. Explicitly inclusive setting. Published adventures have gay and trans characters, PoC characters, etc.
6. Incredible community.

I like to imagine Hasbro executives lay awake at night knowing they have peaked. They can never recreate the rabid success of Friendship is Magic. They rode that cash cow as long as they could and it's over now. Lauren Faust was just 100% that bitch

Starscream Prompt of the Week: Family
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some thoughts on TFP Starscream:
Even tho Starscream seems egotistical, and rude to those around him, he is not a total aft. I genuinely think he cared about his family... and who I even talk about here? His Seekers of course. He is proud, when he gets to mention he was the Commander of the Energon Seekers (and as people may just say, he likes to brag, I won't agree with them 100%). He also doesn't want to have the dead spare hand of, likely, one of his Seekers, when Optimus shots off his own (he's probably forced to it later, as he has no choice, cause his hand is probably lost forever in the shadowzone, but KO did a great job with making it exactly the same, so kudos to him). Let's not forget, that Seekers comes in trines, and he probably really hates being alone (even tho in aligned novels, he is responsible for the death of at least Skywarp), but look at him thrive with a glimple of his old life, when he gets his small armada, and even Megatron tries to treat him better at the end of season 2. And it's so easy to look at my points, and be like "Jay... that doesn't have sense at all!", but it is exacktly like that with Starscream.
He is not a black-or-white character, and to properly analyse him, you have to sit down, and look at what prolonged, unidentified trauma does with ones brain... You have to look at the context of the situation, what happened to him already, what other characters around him did. What he thinks they did. All of this matters when looking at Starscream. And all of that gets harder, as he is a character that backstabs himself because he overthinks everything too much... as if, he didn't have his two trusty advisors anymore to help... But I got lost in my interpretations, when the prompt is so clear...
So what do I think family is was for Starscream? It was his pride, his power, his confidence. He was respected, and he got his back covered. I think he mourns the lose of them. Lack of safety, lack of respect, it twists him up, and people tend to forget about that sometimes... especially when often all he needs to be better is someones attention, and respect. Not only plain power hunger drives him, as many would say at the first glance. Because maybe that power hunger now, has it's core not in him being egocentric, but in the real want of having a glimpse of his old life, craving for safety, and normal treatment, that he doesn't have anymore. He probably doesn't even recognise where his wishes of being a leader come from, as it is often the case with traumatised people, but all his wishes are actually to be liked, and respected again, to be safe again, and to be treated as someone... again.
Because honestly... imagine TFP with all of Starscream's Seekers, loyal to him. He would be unstoppable (if not for the plot... making him loose, because Hasbro said so... of course, but that's a topic for another time).
Thank you @starscreamweek for doing this events. I wasn't sure if Starscream's fandom is alive anymore, and I'm positively surprised. It's good to be back after 10 years...

in general i see some misconceptions about how gender works/is presented in idw1 crop up quite a lot, i think because a lot of people are picking it up third hand from the brief discussion of it in MTMTE/LL and then a ton of fanon, much of which actually bears little resemblance to what the comics tell us?
a few common misconceptions i see:
as per the last post, the assumption that the functionists somehow outlawed gender and that's why it vanished. nope. it just randomly did for no stated reason and nobody treats it as taboo in itself, or reacts with anything except like, mild curiosity at the idea of female characters- it's just kind of confusing, because seemingly everyone forgot gender ever existed. 'james, that makes no sense' nope! it does not. shrugs. look, they were trying to undo some really bizarre shit because hasbro made it clear the girls were no longer going to be optional, and at the end of the day there just isn't... a good explanation to be had.
caminus is not a 'planet of women'. there are male and female (and, i assume, nonbinary?) camiens. it's just that people remember e.g. windblade, chromia and nautica the most as representative.
all female characters in idw1 are not trans. only female cybertronian characters would be 100% of the time (so, lug and anode, and by way of late retcon, arcee); there's no reason to assume nobody on the colonies is trans, but they aren't be default, and so e.g. nautica is not assumed to be trans and that's not a canon fact.

Tales from the Mana Crypt #100 - Expressive Iteration
This is our 100th page for Tales from the Mana Crypt!
When we started out, we just wanted there to be more MTG fanart, so we made a webcomic. Since then, we're so lucky to have met so many great people thanks to this comic. In a way, it feels like making more of what we wanted to see helped us find other people who loved the same things about Magic.
It's easy to feel cynical about things these days, and especially easy when we're talking about Hasbro's cornerstone commercial product. Making this comic is like a (usually) weekly exercise in being sincere, and seeing the responses is a panacea against pessimism.
All that to say, if you've ever read this comic, let alone shared or commented on it, I just want to say thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope we make 100 more at least!!

note when I draw Sari, she is different from cannon TFA. Why? TFA showed us how important Sari Sumdac despite being human and even thou she can't fight in combat. she was the Bots connection to human race and her friendship with them was Important, because she was 100% human/organic. most Cybertronians view organic life as lesser creatures or are organic-phobic in this universe. thou Optimus implies this might not have always been the case. any Remember how the show was like forget that and flushed it down the drain with the 'Sari was never human just a transformer with artificial skin and organs as' plot twist and then her key's upgrade made her into a teenage magical robot girl. that then the show shoved out because Hasbro wanted less of her for some reason???
anyways in my version she is 96% human and 4% cybertronian. When she was little she had an accident that destroy her left arm, both legs and heart. Professor Sumdac rebuilds her limbs with megatrons parts but doesn't tell her (so we can still have a twist.) this is why the All-Spark took interest in her. There also a time skip thus we will still get a teenage Sari. I'm also giving her teenage form a redesign for a more mature look.
you know my favorite human campions ins transformers are spike (g1), Sari (tfa), and the transformers prime kids. humans characters can be really hit or miss in transformers. the worsts ones being the live action ones and kicker jones.

Tiefling! These part-devils are human sized, as they're from cursed human bloodlines. They can cause little weird effects like phantom sounds and ground tremors, can see in the dark, and unlike their angelic counterpart they DON'T have a devil on thier shoulder. Their legacy has no mental effect on them, they're just people. No need for corruption when humans already them like monsters and criminals for existing. Nobody trusts them, people attack them, they learn to keep thier head low and do what they must to survive. They tend not to trust easy, but are extremely loyal once you show you're not out to get them like everyone else.
I get it bud, I'm trans in the US Bible Belt, people treat me the same way.
Fun fact, you used to be able to get 100 tieflings together and none would look remotely alike, as varied as the fiends themselves. In lore every future and past tiefling was changed to be like Asmodious in a bid for deific power. In reality, they were changed because Hasbro was in charge now and they wanted a uniform look for miniature/toy creation.
