been loosely following resin art as a topic for like 5 years and today was the SECOND time I've ever seen a page where someone is using resin to make something necessary, ie prosthetic limbs. THAT is an art medium that requires resin, not trinket trays. First time was when I discovered neowalksticks

#me #part of me loves resin art sm bc of the styles you literally cannot achieve w other mediums #but a MUCH bigger part of me is appalled that resin is just available to any consumer on the market rn #i cant help but feel like art resin getting marketed a LOT recently #has everything to do with the oil industry offloading its byproducts onto consumers #probably so they can turn around and say 'see? its not JUST us poor megacorps polluting :('#idk. but thats my top conspiracy-sounding theory ive got rn #along with 'the opioid crisis is manufactured as an arm of the war on drugs'
