Feel like rewatching Catherine Cookson movies constantly due to my mom has me questioning at this point what is with these movies and obsession with rape or rape attempts.
#i swear i can only name a few that didnt have these#the dwelling place is LITERALLY rape happens but victim falls in love with the rapist by the end alongside some plot#rag nymph is girl has to deal with a guy wants to get ahold of her for his brothel and uh#has been after her since she was a child cause he orignially had her mom after bailing her from jail#but she uh ended shit fast with some rope#so uh its extra levels of gross there and yes shes almost r-worded not once but TWICE#and the one mom has on tilly trotter literally has her dealing with a guy attempting to r-word her i think three times in the end#just cause she said no to him#like i think there are some im forgetting but i swear#these movies get uncomfortable real quick
