Preference: Treat a Younger Sibling (Heroes)

Fandom: Gotham

Character: Jim

You loved your big brother.  He was pretty much the best person you had ever met.  When things went downhill in Gotham Jim sent you to Metropolis to stay safe and he made the trip there at least once a month to see you.  He would update you on life in Gotham, sometimes about cases, and he would take you out to dinner, listening to your life and just generally having a fun time.  He cared about you and made sure you were taken care of, always.

Character: Alfred

Alfred pretty much raised you since your parents died when you were young.  He made sure you got to school everyday, had hot meals at night, always taking care of you.  Once he left he still made sure you were taken care of, calling and sending letters with extra money so you could go to university.  Once he was in Gotham you made sure to visit, bringing things from home so that he could remember where he was from.  Just little things to repay his kindness.

Character: Bullock

Harvey Bullock was an annoying older brother.  He never let you go on dates or brings anyone home, citing that you could ‘date when you got married’.  You spent so much time sneaking out of the house in high school you were an expert.  Of course Harvey had done it all before so he mostly caught you.  You’d think not having a father would make it easier, but nope, Harvey took over that role and ran with it.  Despite how pissed it made you you knew he loved you and did it because he cared.  So you made sure to ruin the mood every time he took a girl into his room.

Character: Dent

You didn’t mean to be a ‘troubled teen’, it just happened.  Everyone said how lucky you were that you had an older brother like Harvey.  He was able to get you out of jail, keep you out for awhile, but then you’d just get in trouble again.  He did his best, knowing that your parents didn’t give a crap about you.  The only one who cared about you was Harvey and he showed it, paying for an apartment for you to have and checking in on you constantly.  He was pretty much the best brother anyone could ask for.  Now if only you could stop screwing up enough to thank him for it.

Preference: Haven’t Seen You in Awhile (Heroes)

Fandom: Gotham

Character: Jim

You and Jim had needed a break.  His work was taking over his whole life and he was constantly worried you were in danger.  So you had left the city, hiding out with your parents for awhile.  You finally came back once everything seemed safer again, that new Batman guy starting to help clean up the streets.  You entered the apartment to find Jim asleep on the couch.  Walking over you grabbed a blanket and put it over him.  He sensed someone was there so his eyes opened slowly and he smiled a half-asleep smile.  “Hey angel” he said, taking your hand.  You smiled back, leaning in and kissing him.  “I’m home.”

Character: Alfred

You and Alfred had been apart for years, having had a falling out around the time of the Waynes’ deaths.  You were concerned he wouldn’t speak to you, wouldn’t want to clear the air and at least try to be friends.  You sat in your car for an hour before mustering up the courage to walk to the door.  You knocked and he answered, not looking surprised.  “You’ve been out there awhile,” he said simply, still blocking the door.  “I wanted to apologize, try to end this fight,” you said, watching as his face stayed stone still.  “Well I’m sorry but I don’t really want to clear the air, I want you to stay away.”  You swallowed hard before nodding, walking away from him trying to hold in the tears.

Character: Harvey Bullock

What could you say?  Harvey was your favorite client and when he went and got engaged you had missed him.  You were in love with the big guy, you  just couldn’t help it.  So you waited, avoiding calling him, until one day your phone rang with that familiar ring and you were invited to the house.  You dressed conservatively, not knowing if he were inviting you over to meet the future Mrs. or for break up sex.  He answered the door and smiled wide, pulling you in the door and pressing you against it to close it, mouth pressing to yours.  You smiled into the kiss, you had your Harvey back.

Character: Harvey Dent

You hadn’t seen Harvey since law school, having dated briefly before going your separate ways in life.  You were in Gotham for a campaign party for your employer and decided to look him up.  You left him a message, inviting you to the party that night, hoping he would come and catch up.  You were waiting by the door when he came in, dressed in a nice suit and looking dashing as ever.  You walked over, smiling wide at him.  He smiled back, hugging you tight, that feeling his heart got around you coming to life once again.  “I’m so glad you decided to come!” you said.  He chuckled.  “It was tough, had to flip a coin.”
