Some dreams do come true! I so grateful to have been one of the first students with Cystic Fibrosis to graduate Harvard. For those of you who’ve followed me here for a long time you know that tumblr was the first place I announced my acceptance, and now it’s coming full circle as the first place I announce my graduation. This has been an amazing chapter of my life that I’m so blessed to have been gifted and I only pray that my work in making Harvard a more accessible place has paid some of that debt. Thank you everyone for your support and kindness, this isn’t the end of my journey but it is the bittersweet exit of the woods into the valley.

What will you be doing? I'll be working at Google as an Associate Product Marketing Manager.
What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates, now that you’ve graduated? Whether it be studying abroad, interning at a company, or spending time at home, it's really important to be intentional about your summers and think about what you'd like to gain from them. Summers are an amazing time to try something new, develop a passion, or just take time for yourself - so actively reflects on what your needs and passions are when figuring out your plans. The earlier you figure this out, the earlier you can find tangible ways to achieve your summer goals and ambitions. (Also summer are a great time to try something new, so try to push yourself to have a unique experience each summer!)

Where will you be living next year? San Diego, CA
What will you be doing? I will be pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at UC San Diego. I hope to conduct translational research on neurodevelopment disorders.
What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates, now that you’ve graduated? Try new things, and don’t be afraid to change your plans! I didn't discover my love for research until an international research internship my Sophomore summer, and it completely changed my direction. I dropped being premed and focused on joining a lab whose work excited me. If you aren't happy with what you're studying or the career path you have in mind, you have total agency to try out something new. It is never too late to discover more about yourself and what you are truly passionate about!

What advice do you have for Harvard HES students, now that you have graduated? My best advice is to be intentional about engaging with the Harvard community as much as possible.  In addition to residency weekends, try to visit campus, attend events, and utilize on-campus resources (i.e. libraries, faculty) - doing so will help you foster relationships and feel more integrated into the Harvard community.  And, most importantly, go to The Game!
