i just saw spider man 3 (2007) spoilers!!

ok so Spider man 3 is both better and worse then i thought, but overoll i had fun with it... after like, a whole hour of suffering that is

honestly i really feel like this movie was needed, you know, to actually address the problems in Peter and MJ's relationship. do i wish it was done through actual crisis and talking about it and not having Harry randomly threatening their lives? yes yes i absolutely would, but at least it was addressed! which i thought will never be addressed

honesly after this one i can finally settle down and i can actually believe they ended up together!! and i can actually agree that they deserve it!!

they are as realistic as they can be in this universe, finally addressing their issues.

do I wish this was addressed better then him turning into an evil emo version of himself? absolutely.

as much as showing he became not him anymore is important to the plot, i think they realllly strang it along, to the point that to watch him was just torture

but then again I FINALLY WATCHED THE DANCING SCENE AND THE JAZZ CLUB SCENE I LAUGHED SO HARD. no idea if this was intentional or not but Bully Meguire you did not disappoint. after a whole hour of torture and just straight up depression of watching Pete behaving so incredibly horribly to MJ and MJ leaning over from the stress of it all, having this hilarious scene was exactly what i fucking needed Jesus christ i laughed so hard

also i do think that Harry should have not died because i think they could have been something great together him and Pete.

but in the end of the day. i think we left this trio, oops i mean couple, in a good and hopeful place. i like that they didn't just kiss in the end!!! i like the implication that they need to actually work on being together again!!!!

also shit yeah i guess Venum was cool for like two seconds and sandman was actually pretty great!! i really enjoyed him. i do wish they didn't need to sort of retcon the death of Uncle Ben for this but the emotions in that scene were so incredibly good!!!

this trio of movies really knew how to bring the emotional core of these stories and address them, this movie was worth the watch, and I'm glad i finally watched it
