I wasn't prepared for motherhood one bit, and in truth I don't think anything could have really prepared me. All the books and classes and words of widsom from fellow mamas couldn't have prepared me for this. I was warned about the sleepless nights and the days were I wouldn't be able to get a single thing done. I was warned about the endless feeds and nappy changes. I was warned that I might not shower for days and that my money would no longer go on things for me, but instead on teenie tiny baby clothes. I was warned that I'd never have any time for myself. I was warned that my life would never be the same again and that I'd love my child more then anything in the world. But how come no one warned me I would feel like this? That I'd be a constant mix of emotions and that although I was the happiest I could ever possibly be having this wonderful little human in my life, my heart would also ache constantly because the days and weeks and months were passing by way to fast. Why didn't they say that I'd be filled with so much love I'd feel like I might burst?
