For the soul of Billy Hargrove, Steve's lover.
Billy is not on the other side, yet. He's still in the ferry. It means, there is a wild chance.
Will Steve seal the deal? What will he offer?

Part 1 of my Apollo/Icarus AU on Tumblr or Ao3! Here is the second part.
Thank you @lovebillyhargrove 😘😘
His first steps as a human hurt. They hurt so much. It felt as if his feet were part of Hephaestus automatons. They felt so heavy.
Human bodies were slow. They needed a long time to see and think and even a normal breath of air could hurt them. Weak. So, so weak.
Steve couldn’t understand how humans could live like this.
But now he needed to live like this. For one year he would be human.
Because he got angry and screamed and demanded.
Because he wanted him back.
Because he fought for him.
But in the end his diamond was still dead and his father punished him to be a mortal.
Steve still saw how Billy’s wings broke.
First the left one and then the right one. He was to blame. He and his chariot with the sun. So he tried to save him. Tried flying lower. Tried to catch him and killed so many thousands of mortals.
The sun burned.
Burned so hot that the beeswax of Billy’s wings melted.
It also was so hot that when he didn’t fly high enough he burned all nature on earth. All humans and animals. All life.
And so he needed to return to heaven but the mortals still died and went to his Uncle’s domain.
And Billy was still dead.
He couldn’t save him. But he demanded it. He wanted it. He was a god. But his father didn’t understand his pain.
He only gave him this new mortal pain as this punishment for all the souls in Hades.
But how could he regret this one chance to save Billy? He only wished he had been fast enough to catch him. Now he didn't care. Why should he care if he already lost Billy?
So he roamed over the mortal world. Always searching and never finding. What did he search for? Steve wasn’t sure.
Something to make him forget the pain of being mortal?
Something to make him forget the last moments of Billy’s life?
Something to make him forget Billy?
But when, months and months later, he entered a small village, his feet still hurting with every step he had the feeling that he found it.
He saw a man that tried to hide a body and face full of scars. He saw how some people were afraid of him but he was still kind. He saw his smile which seemed to hurt but which he showed every child. He saw a man who got burned and crashed but was still the brightest gem in the world.
He saw Billy.

Harringrove is seen almost in every Greek myth. Ideas about Billy Medusa Gorgona have been floating around and they never seem to leave my brain cause it's just so fitting
*** a harringrove fic idea
After being possessed, killed, dragged to the UD, and somehow having survived all of that
Billy comes back. One bright September morning there is a knock on the door at the Hargrove-Mayfield residence. The whole family is having breakfast, it's a Sunday.
They aren't expecting visitors. Neil swings the door open –
His dead and buried son is standing on the doorstep, looking just like he did before he left the house at the beginning of July and never came back.
"What ..? How ..?"
Billy is silent. When he steps inside the house, Neil takes a step back. His son's gait is measured, the soles of his boots land heavy on the floor. Billy is pushing forward, Neil is stumbling backwards.
"Honey, what is .. Oh dear lord .." Susan utters in dread, her trembling voice breaking.
..
Max doesn't show up for her meeting with the gang at the arcade this Sunday. Susan misses a call from her cousin.
On Monday Max doesn't come to school, and neither Neil nor Susan are seen at work.
When the boys bike to Cherry Lane 5280 to find out what's happening, the house seems empty, there isn't a sound coming from the inside. The door's locked, and all the curtains and blinds are drawn. Mr. Hargrove's Buick is standing in the driveway.
Naturally, they have to get inside. When they do, their teenage blood runs cold.
At the dinner table there sit three stone statues, sheer horror in their frozen eyes.
And so, Hawkins is immersed in fear.
How many people get turned to stone? Who are they? Are they randomly chosen or is there a pattern?
..
However, when Billy crosses paths with Steve Harrington, will he use his power? And if so, will it fail him? .. Why? What is going to happen afterwards?

After Billy dies in Starcourt Steve discovers a talent within himself - for sculpting. He creates dozens of amazing sculptures of his lover who was so treacherously taken to the world of the dead.
Will one day there be a miracle and a sculpture which especially resembles Billy and embodies Steve's love for him come alive?
Based on the Greek myth of Pygmalion
