It’s the 8th Anniversary of my dearest Vixx! I feel a bit heartbroken that there does’t seem to be much fanfare this year. Celebrating their anniversary in the midst of this pandemic with Hakyeon and Taekwoon doing military service makes me lonelier. Also watching Ken and Hyuk doing Vlive together without Wonshik and Hongbin made my heart ache even more. I’m not used to it.

Vixx brought me so much joy. They made my fan-girl heart beat again after SS501. They also gave me so many reasons to be a proud Starlight by doing their best in their craft. I think this is by far the loneliest Vixxary I have ever experienced. I hope Starlights can protect these guys in a healthy way and support them no matter what.

Alright, time to get a bit emotional. So technically, en Korea ya pasó el aniversario, pero acá todavía es el 24. Quería hacer un dibujo/post bien extra, pero al parecer lo pensé demasiado, and I never actually got around to doing it. But I still wanted to draw something because, come on, 6 years??? That's super special.

So to those that don't know, on this day 6 years ago, the best kpop group of all time debuted. Yeah, that's right. VIXX aka "The Concept Kings" became a thing on this very same day. Now I may not have been there from the start, but I did come across this particular group after going to a local kpop event where I was asked who my VIXX bias was and I confusingly said Leo. I later searched them up and, well, I was spooked. You see, the first MV that popped up was, you guessed it, Voodoo Doll. I was so grossed out, and yet, so intrigued. I kept showing the video to my friends as an excuse to watch it again. It went downhill from there. I went deep into that YouTube rabbit hole and I didn't come up for air until I saw that there was a facebook group for VIXX's local fanclub, and that said group was organising a small get together. I have never joined a group so fast, haha. I didn't know at the time, but me going to that VIXX event was just the start of a new chapter in my life...that sounds overdramatic, haha. But I honestly think about it that way. Because of VIXX I made a ton of friends; friends that I cherish so so much. Because of VIXX I learned to put myself out there more; to not be afraid of talking in front of crowds or cameras.  Because of VIXX I created beautiful art that I got to share with a community that's just as creative and innovative as the kpop group they follow. Because of VIXX, I was able to get through shitty weeks with a smile. Because of VIXX, I am who I am today...
