Because of dimension travelling element, Yamato from the actual dimension was not the one (in soul) who was with Taichi in the last moment of his life and he resented Taichi for leaving them without a word.

The idea I have for chapter 2 is to explore some things adults can do to cover up their faults and the public will believe what the adults say fearing the unknown which is happening close to them. The other Chosen Children are being watched closely as they called the monsters their friends. Daigo is one who did not believe what was told to him because he knows better.

Daigo is the one who talk to Yamato to help him sort out his resentment towards Taichi and also himself for not being able to protect Taichi from harm. By giving Yamato the ammunition that killed Taichi, he is able to motivate Yamato to not give up in finding hope for their future.
