It’s #wordcountwednesday in week three of #nanowrimo. Things I’m thinking about this week: first, it appears that it takes me approximately three weeks to fix all the typos in a graphic using this font (ie this font is not Nicole-eye-friendly. Noted.). Also, am I giving credit where credit is due. According to my word count I am right under 19K words. Some of the members of the @stopwritingalone #happycampersclub say I should be counting read words since I am in revision mode being a rebel. My word count is, currently, the number of words in my latest draft. I don’t know why this is the counting technique I have selected this year. Questions for you: 1. What’s your word count today? 'Tis the season to talk about Happy Campers Club returning as a two month support system for you, your writing, and, if you are daring to try, your NaNoWriMo project. Happy Campers Club is a small, private writing community held together by daily (Monday-Friday) Zoom calls, a private FB group, an open zoom-room for anytime write-ins, and enough pdfs by the end of camp that you will likely be able to wallpaper a room with them! Sign ups open to new Campers on Monday, September 27th. However, what also opens is one full week of Happy Campers Lite, so everyone in the Stop Writing Alone community has the opportunity to try before they buy. All this week, at 7PM EST I will be hosting one 1hr. themed meeting per day. Happy Campers Club is BACK! Starting tomorrow I will be showing up every day Monday-Friday at 5:30PM EST to show you what it’s all about. Here’s what you can expect: Monday we’ll talk goal setting and accountability, TUESDAY we will have a one hour write in, WEDNESDAY we’ll have a goal check in coffee hour, THURSDAY we’ll talk about reading each other’s work and Critique, and we’ll end off the week on FRIDAY with a Writing Prompt Party! All week long you can stop writing alone and, if you decide you love the experience and want to keep it going in your life, you can join the Spring session of the Stop Writing Alone Happy Campers Club going on this March and April. Nine weeks of daily connection with like-minded writers seeking and reaching their writing goals no matter what their level of writing experience or the genre in which they write.
