Both were something else here. Mulder with his boyish grin, orally fixated straw, beautiful lower lip, white oxford shirt, broad shoulders and that hair plus his lovin stare at her. And Scully with that licking lips, perfect make up, that hair! and her gaze at Mulder… I’ve always had that feeling that their evening would end kinda differently, if they weren’t interrupted by Max’s sister. Day 13 of 15 of My Temporary Theme: 15 Reasons Scully From "The X-Files" Should Be Your Favourite (she's already my favourite, I love her to bloody pieces!) ----------- 13. She survived cancer. Episode: Redux ll ---------- This isn't an ideal post to post on her birthday, but it's the next one. Dana Scully is not only a survivor of cancer. She is a survivor of both of her parents death and her sisters death, which shockingly to me I cry every time I watch those episodes. She is a survivor of giving her son up for adoption, I can't even imagine how hard it must've been for her when she got told she'd have to give up William and the fact that she sang Joy to the World to him like she did his father brings me to tears just thinking about it. She's a survivor of getting "abducted", she almost died when she returned and I think Mulder's faith in her kept her here and that's why she lived. Goodness gracious, as I look back at what I wrote none of it makes any since, but I'm not changing. I want to wish my fictional mother, my role model, the person that has stuck me on this path to become a forensic pathologist, Dana Katherine Scully a very happy birthday and the best one of all. I would also like to thank Gillian got bringing her into my life because of she hadn't I wouldn't be on this path and I wouldn't have some of the friends that I do now so thanks G-woman! P.S: I'm not crazy when I say I love her to pieces and would take a bullet for her. Okay, (not) crazy girl is leaving.
