Sometimes, you dread today because the impending disappointment is always there... Did you expect everyone to wish you a happy birthday? No. But you still want at least one person to acknowledge your day, especially your best friend.

Yet, here we are, 3:00pm and still not a call or mention of anything remotely birthday related.

You impatiently watched the clock that hung on the wall of Family Video tick, watching the minutes pass so slowly. It was dead, but what did you expect? It's three in the afternoon on a Wednesday, and not many people come in on weekdays to be in with... Until you see a familiar metalhead bopping past the large window and through the door, making his grand entrance.

"Sorry, I'm late, sweetheart." He schmoozed as we walked towards you at the checkout counter.

"It only took you long enough," you rolled your eyes, suppressing the feeling of our heart fluttering; maybe he remembered after all.

"Come on, what kind of best friend would I be if I didn't at least apologize for returning this fantastic movie six days late?" he smirked as he leaned an elbow on the counter.

There it was, the inevitable disappointment. He had forgotten.

With a heavy sigh, you take the slasher film from his grasp and think for a split second about not waving the late fee.

"This was supposed to be in on May 30th... It's now the fifth." You deadpan, hoping maybe something clicks.

"I know that sweetheart, but now I have an excuse to see my best friend at work on her birthday." He smiles knowingly.

The breath you didn't know you were holding gets released, and you cannot help but smile.

"You didn't think I had forgotten?!" Eddie steps back dramatically while metaphorically clutching his pearls.

"Well, since you're the first one to acknowledge my birthday and it's..." you look at the clock you've been watching all shift. "3:49pm. Yea, I didn't think anyone would have remembered." You look down, playing with your nails.

"What do you mean the first to acknowledge your birthday?"

"Exactly that," you shrugged.

" You mean like no one has said happy birthday yet?" He raised a curious brow. " Not Dustin, Mike, Max, Erica?" He could go on bit you cut him off by shaking your head no.

"Well, I am sure glad I got to be the first." He smiles, and you can't help but smile back. Eddie has always been a good friend. Ever since you met in high school when you became a part of the Hellfire club, you've been inseparable ever since.

The back door opens, catching both your and Eddie's attention, and Steve walks out, chewing on a half-eaten sandwich.

"Sup, Munson," He mumbles.

"Come in to wish y/n here a Happy Birthday," he emphasized, and you could not help but roll your eyes.

"Today is your birthday?!" He almost choked on his food. " Why didn't you say something!?"

"It's not a big deal."

"It is! and it makes me look like a total ass."

"Steve, stop. You're not an ass... Doofus, maybe, but not an ass." You giggle.

"I'll give you that because it's your birthday. Happy Birthday"

"Thanks, Stevie"

"So, any big plans? He asks, looking at you, then to Eddie, then back at you.

"Umm, no, not really."

"Yes"

You and Eddie say in unison, and you look at your friend quizzically.

" Don't make any plans for Saturday night, okay?" he taps the counter before taking off.

"Okay? Bye?" You wave after him, confused as ever.

"He's so weird." Steve looks to you.

"Yeah, tell me about it."

The rest of the week was average and went by quickly. The only thing Eddie told you was that you were expected to come to his apartment at 7:30 p.m. Which you did.

You knocked on the door and heard Eddie shushing people from the other side. With a huge grin on his face, he leads you into the apartment, and then around the corner, you're ambushed by your friends yelling, "Surprise!"

"Oh my god, what is this?!" you smile, this was very unexpected. Everyone was in their old Hellfire shifts and stood around a table that had been set up for a game of DND with some gifts beside it on the floor.

"We are celebrating your birthday." Eddie nudges your shoulder.

Tears threaten to form as you take in the sweet gesture Eddie set up for you.

"You did this from me?" You try not to sniffle but fail.

"Of course he did!" Dustin pipes in.

"Happy Birthday," Mike smiles. and the rest follow suit.

"Please tell me you didn't get me presents." You notice the gift bags sitting beside the table.

"Of course we did! What kind of friends would we be?"

"One's who forgot her actual birthday until I reminded them," Eddie sneered.

"It 's okay, we are all here now together; thank you guys, this means the world." And it did. Nothing meant more to you than spending time with the people you loved, playing a game you all love, and having fun.

It had been so long since the last Hellfire meeting, and you were so happy they could all make time from their busy lives to spend it with you.

"Ok, let's eat and then play!" Eddie turns to the kitchen, and you follow.

"Thank you, Eddie. I don't know how else I can show you how grateful I am for you."

"No need to thank me, sweetheart. What are friends for?" He leans in and gives you a wet kiss on the cheek, making that the second time this week Eddie's made your heart flutter.

core morning crew is one of the most interesting relationships in the qsmp (especially from tubbo persoective) i will die on that hill.

at the beginning, to tubbo it’s just him making his first close friends on the island, but to fit and (especially) pac, it’s them finding solace in friendship to cope with the disappearance of mike and their sons.

they become a tight knit group who keep each other safe during hard times : the absence of the eggs, happy pills, and even through purgatory with tubbo reuniting the 3 of them at the first opportunity he gets. But I also think that it’s during purgatory that tubbo starts to realise that the triangle isnt and was never meant to be equilateral.

Then sunny appears in his life while Richas and Ramon are still asleep. Obviously pac and fit latch all their love onto her, but for tubbo it’s a big change and he starts developing himself as a father and as someone outside of his relationships with other islanders. This is the era where you can clearly see that you have tubbo&sunny on one side and fit&pac on the other, culminating with the infamous date day shenanigans.

Like imagine you’re tubbo you put all of yourself and you identity in a friend group, without having fully realised that the other two have had important bonds with other people before you even arrived but also it turns out that they like each other like That. I’d go a bit crazy too. Then follow the self destruction era of tubbo isolating himself while pac and fit don’t understand why he suddenly doesn’t hang out with them anymore

But then with time, as Tubbo grows more and more into the person he is, with the help of Sunny, making new friends by himself… Things get better. When you develop your own identity you realise that friendship doesn’t have to be something that stays always the same, dynamics change and it’s fine, the love is still there !

And with that acceptance, us, the morning crew lovers were blessed with extended morning crew w/ Mike, Phil, Bagi. We win 🥳🥳🥳

HI HELLO GOOD EVENING

I'm dead tired bc I got barely any sleep last night + braindead because I've spent the past several hours binging through your Stranger Things Byler retelling and I'm a bit out of words, HOWEVER. It finally clicked in my head that you have a tumblr and I, also having a tumblr, can use said tumblr to throw my appreciation upon you in a more direct manner.

On that note... the retelling is AMAZING and I love it so very very much!!! (I've also been leaving a whole stream of comments on the fic itself, so a lot of my feelings have already been described in detail there XD). It makes me feel so very many emotions, both good AND bad, and for a fic to trigger THAT MUCH of an emotional reaction in me is really an achievement. It's so beautifully sad and tender and joyous and realistic, and all the more painful for it—and all the more beautiful IN that pain. I haven't actually been a big active part of the Stranger Things Fandom (TM) for several years, but I still often return to Byler fics, sort of like a comfort blanket in story form—and yours are some of the BEST (I think it was also you that wrote one of my favorite ever painting scene fix-its; I'll have to go back and re-read that as well!!)

I started reading season 4 last night (which is in part to blame for my lack of sleep) and finished up the rest of it today. I'm so extremely excited for season 5 and to see what you've done with it—I already started reading the script for episode one and it looks amazing (god, I bet that Mike having a panic attack/Vecna episode hurts WAY more in prose)!!! I can't decide between reading all the script first, then reading the fic; or reading the script episodes and then reading the according fic chapters; or just barreling on ahead in the fic and coming back to the script if it strikes my fancy later (which is, if I'm being honest, the most likely outcome). All will have to wait til tomorrow, however, as I have dinner and a warm bed to get to. All the love to you and your fic!!

as for the script, read it in whatever order you would like! my recommended order was originally to read the script first, then the fic chapters—but i know that some people want to experience the plot twists and developments as they happen, so really any way you decide to read it is completely fine! the byler scenes are all the same (with a bit extra in the fic), it’s really just the other characters and plot lines that are expanded.

hello all (: i’m so sorry for not making my nightly “zZzZzZz” post last night, i literally passed out watching spider-man 2 (2004) [i’d never seen any of the sam raimi spider-mans so my roommate and i have been watching them and they are so interesting sksksks like they’re REALLY rom-coms above everything else 😭 and james franco 🫦 but only physically lmao he sucks]

i’m here now though! i’m at work butttt i just wanted to say that i’m so grateful for all of your support, love, and feedback on my works! it means so much to me to hear how the works are making you all feel, and that you’re loving the depth of the worlds and everything 😭 i know they’re not perfect, but…

not to get too deep and sentimental, for about 2-3 years (especially during covid), i thought i’d never write again. i was in such a deep depression, and my support system had convinced me that my passion had fizzled even though i knew it hadn’t. i couldn’t write, i couldn’t read; it felt like everything i’d loved all my life had slipped through my fingers like sand, and that i’d never be able to grasp it again.

this tumblr has been a part of me grabbing my passion again. i was in school for creative writing because words and telling stories are where i feel most comfortable with myself and my expression. dropping out was a tough decision for a lot of reasons, but seeing this blog blossom beyond anything i could’ve imagined reaffirmed me that everything works out when you choose yourself, your happiness, your dreams!

you all are apart of changing my life, and ironically, i don’t think i’ll ever be able to find the words to express my gratitude. my lore has been altered, and this is something that will impact me forever, so thank you thank you thank you to every single person who’s read, liked, reblogged, commented, sent me a message, asked to be on my taglist, everything!! thank you for everything, i am SO grateful.

i wasn’t expecting the new brothersbestfriend!mike fic to pop off as much as it did tbh 😭 so i’m starting to draft the sequel to mimosa! if i go through with my idea, it’s going to be fucking nuts sksksksk (as are most things i write/think) so please prepare…it’ll be a time, for sure.

Mike: Yeah! What’s up? Don’t tell me you’ve never heard about the DJ?!

Mike: Oh and don’t be fooled by appearances! It may surprise you at first, but I assure you, he’s very nice.

And then, John see it. A giant, arachnid-like animatronic. Sleeping on his stage.
