#OPMSS Prompt 024 for dear @karymarang​ <3 “Genos knits them both silly Christmas sweaters. Does it go well? Does it become a disaster?“

“Sensei!”

With a start, Saitama quickly lowered his magazine, hoping against hope that Genos hadn’t realized what he was reading. He was surprised he’d found that thing in that magazine rack at the store to begin with, it was after all a pretty specialized subject, but he was appreciate all the same, it had been a surprisingly interesting read so far and he was curious to see what- oh, Genos was waiting for him to respond.

“Yeah?”

The other looked at him with customary intensity, back straight and eyes near glowing. Determined. But he was also clutching something to his chest, something soft-looking in various colours, predominately reds and greens. Was that... yarn? Where had he gotten that?

“Sensei! I would like to knit us Christmas sweaters. If I did, would Sensei wear it?”

“Uh...” Did Genos even know how to knit? Sure, he fixed his clothes up often enough (a necessary skill for someone who not only got himself into fights so often but also had a habit of ripping the sleeves off every shirt he owned, certainly) but he’d never seen him working with yarn before. He pictured the combat cyborg sitting in front of an open fire, meticulously knitting himself a pair of warm woolly socks. Probably wearing his usual intensely focused expression while doing it. Cute.

“Sure, why not?” He smiled. “Those sweaters can be kinda funny.”

And to be honest, he was curious. What would Serious Genos make? Snow men? Jolly Santas? Maybe reindeer? There were, after all, many Christmas-related designs to choose from out there...
