Beef for Brains {Zelda and Link}

Squealing Santa 2k22!

A/N: Happy holidays @slyscribbles​!!! I was your squealing santa this year!! I had so much fun writing this and I hope you enjoy it! This time of year is always lovely so I hope you can cozy up with a nice mug of cocoa or cider or any other drink that you like!! Huge thank you to Hypah who ran the squealing santa event this year!!! You did a splendid job and I am wishing lots of holiday fun for you as well!

Summary: Surprise!!

“I mean, it’s truly fascinating, isn’t it? To think that this technology was so advanced so many years ago! Look at how intricate this gear is! And this is only one of the components of the Guardians and– Link!”

Link snapped awake as Zelda said his name with a rather sharp tone. She chuckled, nudging his shoulder. “Honestly, Link. If I’m boring, just say so!”

“You’re not boring at all,” Link said, holding the gear as Zelda handed it to him. “These whatchamacallits are very… interesting.”

“It’s not a whatchamacallit, Link. It’s an ancient spring! It uses a tightly bound coil – which is this part here – and attaches to different ends and helps different parts extend or contract depending on what force is applied to them and – you’re dozing off again.”

“M’not,” Link yawned. Zelda raised an eyebrow at him, making him chuckle. “I don’t speak scientist, Zelda.”

“Right, I forgot you’ve got nothing but beef up here,” Zelda said, ruffling Link’s hair. He whined, making her laugh. Link pouted.

“It’s not my fault you talk in science gibberish,” He teased. Zelda rolled her eyes, shaking her head.

“It’s not gibberish, Link,” Zelda said, poking Link a few times as he jumped. She took the ancient spring back from him and tucked it away in her bag before pulling out her Sheikah Slate, tapping away at it as she hummed.

Link and Zelda had just been visiting Purah in Hateno Village, where she had some upgrades for the Sheikah Slate. She had also given Zelda a few spare parts from a Guardian that hadn’t been able to activate. For Zelda, this was the equivalent of giving a child a big bag of candy.

“What are you up to now?”

“I’m looking at blueprints of a Guardian. That little spring you had there is a very important component of them,” She said, sighing. “This technology is so incredible.”

Link chuckled, leaning against Zelda. “It’s pretty cool, yeah… But can those Guardians swing a sword like I can?”

Zelda snorted. “You really do have beef for brains, huh?”

Link pouted his lip, putting more of his weight against Zelda until she huffed at him. She yelped when he stretched his arms and leaned all of his weight against her, knocking her over as he laid on top of her. “Link! Get off!”

“You’ve hurt me,” Link whined, yawning as he rolled over, so he was face-to-face with Zelda. “Do you really think I have beef for brains?”

“What?!”

Link sighed, shaking his head. “So you won’t even deny it? I thought you loved me, Zelda.”

Zelda flushed. “Link, you’re being ridiculous– Ahaha! Nohoho, Link, don’t!”

Link started to scribble his fingers against Zelda’s hips, humming softly as she giggled beneath him. “Hmm? Is something wrong?”

“You’re tickling mehehehe! Ehehe, stahahap!” Zelda squealed, pushing at Link’s shoulders to try and get him off. It was proving difficult, however, with Link lying on top of her. 

“I’m tickling you?” Link chuckled, making Zelda whine. “Hmm… I guess I could stop… But I want you to admit that I don’t have beef for brains first.”

“Link! Nohohoho, thahat’s not– I didn’t mehehean it!” Zelda insisted, laughing and squirming as Link squeezed her hips. She tried to shake him off, but he didn’t budge. “Plehehease! It–it tickles!”

“That’s the point, Princess,” He quipped.

“Dohohon’t cahahall me thahat!” Zelda squealed, kicking her legs as her cheeks began to flush with heat.

She squirmed pointlessly beneath him, laughing without restraint. Link would sometimes lay on top of her while she was trying to get work done as a way of goofing off or getting her to take a break, but the tickles were an addition that was making it difficult for Zelda to shove him off. He was heavy enough on his own, being mostly muscle, but while he was tickling her, Zelda stood almost no chance.

“Link! Link, plehehease!! I wahahahas just joking, I prohohomise!”

“So… you don’t think I have beef for brains?”

“Of cohohourse not!”

Link hummed, drumming his fingers on Zelda’s hips in contemplation as she giggled softly. She went to push him off again, but then his hands just traveled up to her ribs, digging in gently as she threw her head back and laughed. “Nohoho! Wahahait!”

“Does that mean I’m super duper smart then? I mean, if I don’t have beef for brains,” Link said, grinning that goofy grin that only made Zelda laugh harder.

“You’re nohohohot– Wahahait!! Wait, nohohoho!”

“I’m not? Zelda, that’s just rude!”

Zelda shrieked as Link began to knead her sides, pinching them up and down as she laughed. “I wahahahasn’t finished! Plehehease, Link!”

“Oh?” Link slowed his tickling, allowing Zelda a chance to talk even through her giggles. She huffed for a few moments, catching her breath as Link watched her with a smile, lightly tracing her sides. “What else did you have to say?”

“You’re– You’re smart enough… Especially for someone with beef for brains,” She finally managed to tease, making Link snort. 

“So that’s how it’s gonna be, huh?”

Zelda squealed when Link resumed his tickling, scribbling across her stomach and then darting toward her sides at random. She threw her head back and laughed, her face bright pink. Link snickered along with her, squeezing her hips again as she whined.

“I’m sohohorry! I didn’t mehehehean it, I swehehear! Plehehease, stop!”

Link gave her hips one last squeeze before relenting. He didn’t get off of her, however, just laid there while she caught her breath. She shot him a quick glare, making him grin. “What?”

Zelda huffed, shoving him until he finally rolled off of her. He laughed, rolling away just a bit as Zelda watched him. She couldn’t help but smile at his goofy demeanor, which he had finally been showing her after so much time where he had been closed off. He walked back on his knees, still snickering. He had a small daisy in his hand and he tucked it behind Zelda’s ear.

“Forgive me?”

Zelda rolled her eyes. “If you insist.”

Please read the description it is important. Now this video is meant to be a bit of a test video to see how things looked and worked during game play. Now if you'll notice I do look a bit different there is a few reasons for that. firstly I was having problems with my face texture since 2K18 and I tried to kinda fix it and I guess "future proof" it so I can use it with out have to change it for each game. I think its because the eyebrows are too low and the nose just doesn't look right so hopefully it will be fixed for the 2K23 videos Secondly you notice a darker skin tone I have also been having skin tone issues for years! I have been trying to get it to the right color but the game doesn't seem to want to I think it has alot to do with the lighting in the game. You see I have a more darker skin tone due to my parents being of different races. So I always try to get that perfect bronzy color and in 2K22 I thought I finally had it!! it looked perfect in create mode and I was so happy but then in the character selection screen it looks extremely dark its not suppose to be that dark. it makes me look black but I'm not black and then again during in ring game play it looks completely different again..? so I don't know I'm hoping to have this all fixed on 2K23 I don't know why I'm having this problem.

Also this video is a bit of a special video. This video is dedicated to my dear friend Allen Brown AKA "Voyd" who passed away in 2021. You might be wondering 2021? why did this take so long well with idea went through various idea changes but I ended up wanting to wait until possibly PS5 being that he would not be here with me when we started with the new games and of course were they jumped over 2K21 and of course COVID resulting in PS5s being hard to come by plus I had things going on in my life that needed doing so I had to wait for the right time. "Voyd" as I knew him on PSN was the first person I met on PSN who was actually nice to me. I have been on the internet for many many years and I never experienced the hate and toxicity on the general internet like I did when I signed up to PSN on PS3 in 2008. but he was the first person I met who nice to me I met him online while playing WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 (SVR09) he kept joining Tag Team matches I was making and then eventually sent me a friend request and after that we started chatting and became friends and through him I met more wonderful people on PSN we always remained close and were gaming partners we played tons of stuff together not just WWE like we spent endless hours together saving the world on DC Universe Online (DCUO) and it was so much fun. Even a few days before his passing we were making plans to do somethings on GTA5 on PS4 So I was completely shocked and absolutely heartbroken when I was told that he had passed away being I had just talked to him. So with the arrival of being on PS5 now and him not going to be on PS5 I wanted to do a little something in his memory So that is why I wanted to dedicate the very first video of WWE2K22 and the entire 2K22 Universe run to my wonderfully awesome online friend and gaming partner Allen Brown AKA "Voyd" who showed up all those years ago right when he was needed you are greatly missed and always will be.
