I started listening to the holiday special commentary and I now too will be using “unsafe (a nail salon)” as a phrase in texting — (but genuinely, hope Chloe’s date’s alright!)!

The whole discord is full of “happy birthday mistah steel”s rn and it’s great, so happy Juno’s birthday! But also, merry Christmas Eve! Happy Hanukkah — and if you don’t celebrate either OR you celebrate something else I hope you have a WONDERFUL time :)

November 7th is Ruby’s birthday now. Everyone say happy birthday to my favorite car!!!

Since it was just my birthday, here’s how the Aurinkos would feel about their birthday:

Juno: used to hate his birthday a lot because his brother wasn’t there to celebrate with him anymore but doesn’t mind as much now and sees it as a way to honor Ben

Rita: loves her birthday but often forgets when it’s coming and Juno has to remind her, he also always gets her something without fail

Buddy: likes her birthday a bit, grew to like it as a young adult, mostly to get free drinks and the like, used to celebrate with a cake when she could actually eat food

Vespa: hates her birthday, anyone who mentions it is dead to her, Buddy tried to throw her a birthday surprise the first time they dated and they almost broke up, will now tolerate a private ‘happy birthday’ from Buddy and only Buddy

Jet: is pretty indifferent about his birthday, will tolerate Buddy’s attempt to celebrate but will not celebrate himself of his own free will

Peter: doesn’t like his birthday, he used to celebrate with the pests as a child but stopped celebrating with Mag who just forgot about it, will refuse to tell people his birthday of his own free will but Juno gets to tell him happy birthday and give him a cupcake or something

Ruby: of course it hates its birthday, the mysterious past says it all, might not even know what a birthday really is
