april twenty-seven.

Its been a while since I've had the energy to sit down and really write about how things are going and what is new and exciting. Short and sweet, a lot of things have changed and I'm hoping a lot more will change. Its been a wild ride this semester with school and its just been hard to keep up with homework and my creative side. When it comes down to it I usually am more drawn to my art journal then here. Sometimes getting the feelings down in words is more of a challenge then the calming effect I had once desired. Plus with school I have to keep journals of how I am feeling and constantly reflecting on school. You simply run out of words sometimes. 

I've been quite lonely this last little while and I think that takes away a lot of my words too. Spending so much time deep in thought and just simply sitting in the quiet there really inst too much to reflect on at times. Or the reflecting seems redundant. Being lonely is something that I should be quite used to by now, but I think that I never really get comfortable with it. I have spent a large part of my life being alone and being lonely. Let me tell you, there is a difference. Being lonely for me mostly consists of being in a crowd and feeling left out. Being alone is something that I don’t mind at all! It’s been a real wild ride these last few years, getting to the nitty gritty of my own issues and deciding what I wanted in life. I guess it came with a cost. I have never had a squad, and it doesn't seem to be something that I will have in the future, but I know that I am not alone in life and that’s something that I have to remind myself of. 

Life really has a way of kicking you down some times. Cody and I have been to hell and back this month and I guess we are starting to see some of the repercussions of it now. Its been two months since I lost my job, that was a pretty big thing that was not in the radar and it was trying mentally and emotionally. Being fired from a job puts this big ‘ol label on you and i think self esteem takes a beating.Something like that when you know everyone is talking about it and making it into a bigger deal really takes a toll on how you get out of bed in the morning. I think that for me, I was thankful for purpose and dedication at school. But now that school is over I think that I've been taking it a lot harder. The first thing people ask you is “Where are you working for the summer?” and even though i have been actively trying and I've been to Interview after interview, nothing has fallen into place yet. In your head it turns into something bigger, something more personal and it becomes harder to try. And that’s the thing, when you lose try, you lose a lot more. Having our apartment flooded and insurance throw us under the bus was a second big hit to the try. How do you get out of bed in the morning when all your shit is wrecked and insurance doesn't give a crap? It’s so frustrating. Life can really really kick you down. 

All I can think of is a saying my Granny used to say all the time : All is well that ends well. it is a reminder of how to think positively and how to keep up that try. to keep on trucking, even when there isn't a whole hell of a lot to look forward to. Its been a while, and its been rough, but I am still smiling. Tomorrow is always a new day and there is always new “try” in tomorrow.

April is the most beautiful month of the year and I'm not just saying that because it's my birthday month 😜 Here's just a couple reminders today: - Treat everyone you come across, stranger or not, with love and respect and also pass them a smile. - Spin around under the sun and float away with the breeze. - Work as hard as you can, or harder- but don't forget to treat yourself. - Remember what you're worth. - Being an asshole and hating on everyone never makes you cool or funny or at all interesting. - Lay in the grass and tell the trees your secrets. - You're exactly where you're supposed to be. - Be friends with the "weird kids". - There's nothing wrong with going to the dog park alone and loving on all the pup pups, you made their day. - Don't hate, meditate. - Every penny counts- stack and save that dough boiiiii. - The people who say you won't achieve your goals are to scared to do anything wonderful with their lives. I've had the worst time sleeping at night as I've gotten older ~ I rarely #sleep more than 3 - 4 hours at a time. However, (because my daughter came into my room, turned off my iPad and iPhone and put them on my night stand and turned out the lights) I gave it an honest effort, and slept 7 hours! In a row! But you know what?
