Hello everyone, OP here. From this moment until 1 hour 1 minute of the show, I forgot to save my writing on my phone. I have no one to blame but myself. Should I start over again and re-watch the past 40 minutes?

Alright Hippie Kunda vs Kaogaii. O'Domar survives and the rapper who goes home is- what the fuck? Gamma? I had a gut feeling. I hope next time he goes on a show, he'll do better.

Last battle! Kaogaii should go again, right? I'm confused, what is this show trying to foreshadow? I applauded behind my screen for Hippie Kunda, it must suck for her because she just lost. I'm proud of her for working hard! Oh! Instead of giving a shitty performance, he didn't rap at all. He was planning on eliminating Koala. I think it's Koala because he's the one who's edited out. I forgot about him lmao. Thanks to the K-hiphop sub-reddit for proving information!

So everyone tried their best to save their teammates, only Kaogaii used this opportunity to eliminate a rapper on purpose.

Loopy, Reddy and Haon... their hearts are too big for their bodies.

What will happen to Block 7? Will there be drama? Reddy showed a more confident performance than Chaboom both times. It is what it is. Owen in Block 5? Will they accept him? Either way, if Owen wants to win then, yes I agree that staying in Block 7 is a bad idea. Something has to change.

Block 8 is just 3 people now. They should make a big change to in order to survive. Ahw, I want to give all of them a hug :((

Loopy and Owen... It was very touching to watch. I have been avoiding this but ever since the two of them were announced to participate, I was hoping for a mkit rain reunion. Khundi Panda is now leader of Block 5. Not gonna lie, I thought he was already the leader, not JP. I forgot. Owen and DD join Block 5!

SINCE IS GOING TO BLOCK 6?? Wow I thought she was a loyal person but it seems like she values winning more. I don't mind, the longer she survives, the more I get to watch her perform. I do hope that outside of Rap:Pulic, Since and Punchnello drop a song together. I really enjoy the two of them on stage. Block 6 is looking stronger. Skyminhyuk is now the leader of Block 4, instead of Punchnello. Hippie K and Drain K join Block 4 and Block 8 dissolves.

JTong is joining Block 2!! Even though he left, Block 1 is still a strong block. Chaboom is moving to Block 3. Foggyatthebottom moves to Block 2 and just like that, Block 7 closes down. Double Down changes teams again is now in Block 1. Osun is joining Block 5. Where did that come from? Damn, he gets to be the leader too. Nice deal. Oh Osun~ you broke Haon's heart :( Kind of a dick move to change blocks without saying anything.

It is time for a new mission. Changing Blocks has come to an end. Third Block Match. Block competition. First match, Block 5 vs 4. Second match, Block 3 vs 6. Third match, Block 1 vs 2. Oh shit we're already starting the fight! The preview for the next episode looks promising, it'll be lots of fun!

RAP:Public Ep.3 Part 1 Thoughts

We're picking up with the rest of the round from ep.2. Spoilers below

I haven't figured out who I want to win yet. However, I think I've decided not to root for the team Owen is on for the rest of the time he's om the show lol

I'm looking forward to seeing more shyboiitobii. So I hope he gets some air time after this round is over. They showed a brief clip of him and Khan speaking.

Loopy goes first after JP questions if he should go. Going first is a bad strategy because then the person you pass it to might pass it back. The best strategy, from how I see it, is to avoid rapping as long as you can. Staying back will help you save verses.

Ok for his second verse (because of course the person he chose, Kaogaii, passed the mic back), Loopy refers to Tablo as "Haru's dad". I like that we've just decided that's a fair, reasonable way to refer to him lol. Even when the context makes more sense to just use his stage name.

And ... he passed back to Kaogaii and...kaogaii passed it back 🤷. Loopy couldn't finish the verse (like Fleeky last episode) and he got out! Loopy was a strong competitor so it's good to get him out early. For me, I'd start working on Kaogaii (he's used a lot of verses) or Haon (his verses are really good and he's not being chosen much. This is a combination of me wanting to see more Haon raps and me thinking that if I was a competitor, I'd want him to be eliminated sooner rather than later). JP too maybe? But he's risky cause I think he almost ALWAYS passes it back to the person who passed it to him first.

Alright, seems like they finally started targeting Haon. Also, Kaogaii has gotten 2(?) verses at this point. So it seems both may be a target. In the end, I'd probably rather face kaogaii instead of Haon. It seems like he's used more verse overall so far.

Haon was the last person for that instrumental. He passed it to Chaboom right as a new one started to play. That seemed like it'd be an easier one since chaboom didn't hesitate but halfway through he stopped. So Chaboom is out now.

JP, Kaogaii, Haon, and Boi B are left. Boi B has used the least amount of verses so far. Now's the time to start targeting JP if they want. If I was JP and got targeted here, I'd start targeting either Kaogaii or Haon.

This round JP goes first again. Passes to Haon. As a viewer, I want Haon to win. If I was a competitor, I'd want him to be the next person out.

A contestant (forgot who) said Haon tries to keep the peace by not passing back to the person who gave him the mic. I wonder if that's Haon being peaceful or if it's part of a strategy. Could be to make sure everybody is wasting verses each round. Might also be to pass it randomly to catch people off guard and hope they break. Maybe he is just being peaceful HSR2 style Haon though lol.

So after a while it goes back to Boi B and he passes to Haon. People said they wanted it passed to JP. JP usually (if not always) chooses the same person who passed to him, while Haon almost never does.

Haon doesn't have a verse. So he's out.

JP, Kaogaii, and Boi B. I kinda want JP to win now that Haon's out.

Kaogaii tries to freestyle but can't. So now it's Boi B vs JP

They tell us that Kaogaii has a daughter on the way. She's roughly 24 weeks at the time of filming. So that's his inspiration this season. Side note: but does NOBODY in Khiphop use condoms anymore? Like why is everyone announcing kids this year? Lol

Also, Kaogaii can afford to have a KID?!?! Wow, Mr.Moneybags here lol

Win or lose, JP got a lot of screen time these last 2 episodes. That was probably one of his goals. We definitely know who he is now! So shout out to him!

Boi B eliminated himself so JP won. Block 5 was right to choose him. I also think they'd have won with Khundi too. So it seems like either way this was Block 5's mission.

Ok, first things first, @londubhgaeilge, it's FANTASTIC that you've put this list together .... But I must say that I've a problem with some terms given in this glossary 😬

Tá Foclóir Aiteach amuigh ansiúd cheanna, le téarmaí (nó "aistriúcháin", ba cheart dhom a rá) d'fhoclóir "LGBTQ+" i mBéarla. Anois, ós rud é gur aistriúcháin díreacha ón mBéarla bhí ann don chuid is mó sa bhfoclóir, tá's a'm gur tugadh cuireadh roimh Thadhg Mac Eoghain le cur leis/ galldú na Gaeilge a sheachaint/ foclóir aiteach i gcaint na ndaoine a bhailiú don chéad leagan eile.

There is a "Foclóir Aiteach" out in the world already with terms (or "translations", I should say) of LGBTQ+ words in *English*. Now, because they are mostly direct translations from English, I know that Tadhg Mac Eoghain was invited to update/ undo the anglicisation/ gather queer terms ACTUALLY used in vernacular communities for the next edition.

So, tá seisean ag obair leis air sin, agus scríobh mé féin postáil ar thimbléar tamaillín ó shin ag ceistniú an roghnúchán oifigiúil le haghaidh fhoclóir ní amháin aiteach ach le haghaidh caint a dhéanamh faoi ghnéas agus faoi chollaíocht ina iomlán 😕🤷

So, he's working away in that, and I wrote a post on Tumblr a while back, questioning the official choices for vocab not only to do with queer terms, but to talk about gender and sexuality in their entirety (yes, look at the word I use in Irish for gender 👀 to be explained below 👇)

A Very Brief Overview

Tá fadhb a'm-sa leis a' smaoineamh nach bhfuil an Ghaeilge in ann déileáil le cúrsaí aiteacha gan ach teimpléad an Bhéarla a úsáid - Ariamh a bhí daoine aiteacha i ngach áit fud fad na cruinne, agus ní haon eisceacht í Éire! Agus bhí foclóir a'inn féin, agus ag daoine eile dhúinn, ach go bhfuil an-chuid den fhoclóir sin caillte sa gcaint a'inn, ós rud é nach bhfuil ach ceantracha beaga taobh iarthar na hÉireann a labhraíonns Gaeilge mar a bhíodh i gcónaí.

I have a huge problem with the idea that Irish doesn't have ways to term queer concepts and terms without using a template from English. There have always been queer people (tho maybe not by that term!) everywhere around the world, and Ireland's no exception! And we had our own terms, and other people had terms for us, but a good portion of those words are lost to us now, as of the dialects of Irish that existed all across the island, only those of small(ish) communities in the west persist.

Furthermore, I feel like when queer Irish-language resources are put together, there tends not to be an ear given to current Gaeilge speech communities, nor are the wide range of literary sources looked through to find queer understandings of gender and sexuality in them!

Mar shampla: meaitseálann an tuiscint atá a'm-sa ar na focla gnéas, collaíocht agus cineál do na coincheapanna "gender", "sex" (an gníomh) agus "sex" (an cineál coirp) i bhfad níos fearr ná na haistriúcháin a tugadh go hoifigiúil, de ghnáth: inscne (a chiallaíonns dáileadh ainmfhocla) agus gnéas (a thaganns ón bhfocal "gné")

For example, my understandings of the words gnéas, collaíocht and cineál match the concepts of gender, sex (the act) and sex (body type) way better than the official given translations; inscne (a noun category), and gnéas (which derives from the word gné, a word meaning "trait", "aspect", "part", etc.).

Now, my recommendations 🤗

1) An Aibitír Aiteach 🏳️‍🌈 The Alphabet Mafia:

• Leispiach(a) - Lesbian(s)

• Aerach/Géidh - Gay (ones a translation, the other is a Gaelicisation - both can be used, but "aerach" also means "loud, rambunctious, vibrant, airy", so mind your contexts!)

• Déghnéasach* - bisexual (it's the most common word used i mbéal an phobail, and as used to describe a sexual orientation towards a "gender" - or a plurality thereof, in this case - I've no problem using gnéas in this sense)

• Tras-ghnéasach - Transgender (taking "gnéas" to mean gender, this implies people whose gender identity is "beyond" (tras) their assigned gender)

• Aiteach/ Cuír - Queer (again, one is a modern, wholly constructed word, and the other is a Gaelicisation).

*Cineál coirp idir eatarthu - intersex (this is a description of "a body type in-between". Descriptions are a more natural way Irish works anyway, instead of terms all the time, but I feel like a better word can be constructed/ is in the record already - this is merely a placeholder. *Good to note that at one stage "Déghnéasach" was the term for intersexual, rather than bisexual)

• Éighnéasach/ Gan Treo Collaí - Asexual (one, being like "Déghneasach" above, if the 'gnéas' section of this word is describing the gender attracted towards - or lack thereof in this case, represented by the 'éag-' - I have no problem with this given translation - but another option would be to simply say "without sexual orientation"

• Il-ghnéasach/ Dúil chollaíochta gan choinníoll gnéis - Pansexual (one option, with the same justification for using gnéas as the gender of attraction - the other option is to describe the attraction (which would be a more natural thing to do in Irish anyway than construct a term for it 👀 - please feel free to augment the description as fits YOUR attraction)

• Neamh-dhénártha/ Duine nach bean nó fear iad - Non-binary (one using the mathematical word for 'binary', the other describing the gender experience of "someone who's not a woman nor a man"

(Gabh mo leithscéal as a bheith ag déanamh rannóga as na téarmaí anseo thíos!)

• Bunmháinliacht/ Máinliacht Ghabhail - Bottom surgery (lit. Crotch surgery, but gabhal is used slightly more casually in Irish)

• Barrmháinliacht/ Máinliacht Chliabhraigh - Top surgery (lit. Chest surgery)

• Leigheas Réitithe Gnéis - Medical transition (lit. Gender fixing Medicine)
