TOP 10 PERSONAL FAVE MOVIES TO WATCH WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE ASS
I don't like movies that stress me out because life is already stressful but I DO love catharsis comedy found family friendship fantasy and violence so here are my top 10 movies and series to have a good time watching
Numbered for convenience but not in any particular order
John Wick 1 and 2: An ordinary man grieving the loss of his wife gets dragged back into his past as a shadowy, invisible world of international killers for hire is slowly revealed to be living among us. A love note to set design, lighting, and choreography. My favourite part is fixating on the symbolism. DO NOT WATCH 3. 4 is okay. DO NOT WATCH 3. There is a dog death in 1 that will make you cry so skip that part if you have to. DO NOT WATCH 3.
The lord of the Rings, all 3, extended edition best watched if you're on the couch with the flu and expect to fall asleep OR if it's your day off and it's raining outside OR if you have like 5 people lounging around in pajamas
Six Underground: Essentially an hour and a half long car commercial music video with found family and a fresher take on acommon plot. Ryan Reynolds essentially writes and directs a Michael Bay movie where 6 independant criminals gather together to overthrow a violent foreign dictatorship. You show up for a dumb heist and walk out ready to build a guillotine. TW for violence, car crashes, chemical warfare, and genocide. A very cathartic ending. Does unfortunately do the whole "vague, impoverished middle-eastern country" thing but the citizens are actually show as human beings which is a nice change of pace and oh wow that's depressing isn't it
The Princess Diaries 1 and 2: A sort-of-a-loser teenage girl, played by a 2001 Annie Hathaway, learns that her late father was a king of a foreign nation and must become a confident and responsible leader for his people. There is a scene in the rain where you will experience emotions. Best watched with snacks. 2 features an enemies-to-lovers type deal with Chris Pine.
Ella Enchanted: A shrek-style semi-musical fantasy romance in which a young woman is cursed at birth to do everything anyone tells her to do. Features several Queen songs and dance numbers sung by Annie Hathaway and that guy who plays the sad dog guy in Hannibal.
Stardust: A huge loser travels from 1800s England (?) to a magical world in order to fetch a fallen star for the insufferable love of his life before she marries a massive douchebag. The huge loser? Charlie Cox. The star? A living person. Also a whole bunch of princes are ALSO looking for them as a race for the throne while discreetly killing each other off. And also a bunch of witches want to eat her so they can be young and sexy. 11/10. I used to watch this 10 minutes at a time on a YouTube channel that posted it in chunks filmed on a digital camera in their living room
The Last Holiday: Queen Latifah, playing someone played by Queen Latifah, has been working an underappreciated minimum wage job for years, living a safe and conservative life trying to lose weight and save money. Then she finds out she has months to live, and decides to finally quit her job and blow it all on one massive luxury holiday vacation complete with five-star dining, making friends and finding love and confidence along the way. It's definitely corny but it makes me so happy thank you Queen Latifah
Zathura: It's the plot to the original Jumanji but in space instead of the rainforest. But listen to me: There's a twist reveal at the end that you need to pretend isn't there. It is vitally important when you get to that part- and you will know what part when it happens- that you pretend it didn't. Otherwise, a fresh and enjoyable adventure for any age!
Redacted cause I haven't seen it in a long time and it may be worse than I remember, gotta rewatch
Bullet Train. You go in expecting a ham-fisted find-the-mcguffin style action comedy and are blindsided by excellent narrative symmetry and genuinely likeable characters. Fresh takes on old themes and creative action sequences. My little brother said "It's good", and he's a man who once sincerely argued that Lord of the Rings could have been better. It's fun and punchy violence with just enough smart stuff to not let your brain get bored

Imagine a situation where Hannibal won't defend himself in a physical fight because he knows that if the FBI becomes aware of his strength and fighting skills, it would make people question him. Like, why does this psychiatrist who sits in an armchair the whole day have such amazing fighting skills so that he can fight many people at once?? (Mason's guards for example).
In the fight with Tobias it happened that Tobias used those strings that really took Hannibal aback. When the FBI arrived at his office he really looked like he got injured in the fight, like a normal man without skills in a combat with another man who has skills.
Now, if we would want to be assholes we would say that the forensics could have told that Hannibal had in fact fought really well based on the bruises on Tobias' body but ok, that is something that is not brought up. What mattered was that Hannibal had some blood on his face and looked like a poot meow meow in front of Will and Jack.
Now think about the fight he has with Jack in Mizumono. Jack is a well trained FBI agent and Hannibal's combat skills are a bit better than his. (Let's not talk about Contorno cause Hannibal's behavior is a bit unusual. His psychological turmoil and latent motives had a really interesting impact on the way he allowed Jack to kick his ass.)
I will come back with a ficlet on this topic because lately I got into writing fighting scenes, I find them so fun to put into words

I think the reason Hannibal chose "rudeness" as his excuse is because it makes him feel more powerful. Being a psychiatrist he understands more than anyone how flimsy an instance of rudeness is: the person could be having a bad day, maybe they had a bad experience regarding their current conversation and reacted badly, maybe they never had an opportunity to be a different person, maybe this maybe that; it all boils down to compassion and mercy. Hannibal can offer both, but he chooses not to. It's a flimsy reason and god is unreasonable. I don't think rudeness is what is important to him; it's the fact that he can decide when someone lives or dies. It's absolute, selfish, and indomitable power over people, because you can't convince him to spare you. Because the reason he's killing you is built on paper. It doesn't hold in court and he knows that. Will knows it too— re: free range rude, he taunts Hannibal. Then complains to Jack about how subjective Hannibal's reasoning is.

yahya and kahlil's @kahlilahmad5 father had grown a very concerning tumour on his foot, and he had to undergo an operation to remove it.
as we all know, gaza is very low on resources - though the doctor has prescribed his father pain medication following this procedure, even one pill costs $300, and they haven't been able to afford a single one. his father has been in an immense amount of pain, and he badly needs the money
they have raised some amount of the price for the treatment pill, but still need $130 more to obtain one
while his gofundme is linked in the verification links, please do not send money here.
yahya has requested that these funds be sent via paypal to this link, as gofundme money takes a significant amount of time to transfer and is not able to help for day-to-day needs like this.
as he is borrowing this link from a friend who has paypal, he also would prefer to have a screenshot of the donation or its receipt to have it transferred to him - please feel free to reblog this post with the screenshot, or dm it to me. this is not strictly necessary but would be much appreciated

Meta: The Beauty of Hannibal's Season Finales
The Hannibal finales hit different, and it's because they know exactly how to mess with your head. Each season builds to this perfectly agonizing conclusion where you're left with no real answers but a ton of emotions.
Season 1 ends with Hannibal pulling all the strings, framing Will for crimes he didn’t commit. It’s that oh no moment where you realize everything we thought we knew is flipped upside down. Will, in a sense, is now trapped in Hannibal’s web and you just can't look away.
Then Season 2? It's pure chaos. Will’s on the edge, bleeding out, and Hannibal? He just slips away into the darkness, leaving us hanging with a literal cliffhanger. It’s not just the plot—it's the raw emotion between them that pulls you in, like two people constantly hurting each other and almost, almost enjoying it.
And then comes Season 3... honestly, do we even have words? The way it ends, with Will and Hannibal falling together off a cliff, literally and metaphorically, is both tragic and kind of beautiful. Their relationship is toxic, but it’s like they chose that end. It’s like a twisted love story where they both know they’re doomed, but together, at least they don’t have to face it alone
So yeah, every finale is about the fall. There’s no escaping the mess they've created, and it's exactly why we love it. There's no redemption arc—just an endless, beautiful spiral into darkness.

Jil giggled, pleased. She loved being called a siren. She wrapped her arms around Hannibal’s neck. ‘Not men. Just you. And I’m not going to lure you to anywhere except my bed to make love to me.’ Pleased, she grinned up at him.
‘Oh, I know exactly how to use it,’ Lestat purred. He rolled his hips against Louis, not giving a doubloon if anyone saw. ‘Care for another demonstration?’ He winked.
A Pirate’s Life For Me
A dark and moonless night. Low fog over the waters.
The captain of the Aquae Regina stood staring moodily out over the starboard railing of the ship. The captain was a slight but imposing figure. Long blond braids blowed softly in the breeze, covered with a scarlet headband under an impressive tricorn hat. Kohl-rimmed eyes scanned the horizon. Eyes the same colour as the endless sea.
A sash the same colour of as the headband was worn over a black brocade greatcoat, which was itself worn over a white silk shirt. Fine black velvet britches were tucked into knee-high black leather boots. A long slightly curved great-sword completed the look, tucked into a wide leather belt.
It was only when one was at the point of that sword that one would realise the imposing captain was, in fact, a young woman. And not just any young woman, but the only daughter...nay, the only child of the great Pirate King.
It was far too quiet. Captain Jilomena Festerwind tossed back her hair as she folded her arms over her chest. She kept watch over the dark waters, lit only by a waning crescent moon.
Soon she was joined by her first mate, one Louis de Pointe du Lac. He was a young male, rescued from the wreckage of a burning slave ship. He’d been the only survivor, half drowned and clinging to a bit of what had been the main mast. From that day he’d become one of Captain Jil’s most loyal crewmen.
They were now about a day’s sail from Tortuga. ‘Keep a sharp eye,’ she remarked to him quietly. The waters in this quadrant were known to be rife for trouble.

this vulnerable Hannibal ramble has a happy ending. i promise. ♡
don't think about Hannibal noticing cancer symptoms a few months post-fall. specifically, bladder cancer. don't think about Hannibal hiding this from Will because they're on the run after nearly being caught. don't think about Hannibal getting shot in his pelvis during their escape and collapsing to the ground. don't think about Will carrying Hannibal (who whimpers against Will's neck with each abrupt jostle of his body) to safety towards a getaway car. desperately trying to stop the bleeding. finding a small emergency clinic and holding the doctor at gunpoint until Hannibal's wound is tended to.
don't think about Will discovering the news of Hannibal's stage 3 bladder cancer because the doctor states there's no point in saving Hannibal, who only has a few months to live at most. don't think about Will's entire world crumbling in that instance. seeing Hannibal's limp body on the operating table. thinking back to all the times Hannibal winced upon sitting with a full belly after dinner (because it put more pressure on his bladder) and how he would discreetly leave to change into a more comfortable pair of pants or shift in discomfort. don't think about Will passing it off as simple weight gain. then thinking back to the moments when Hannibal would spend long periods of time in the bathroom (scrubbing down the bathroom to limit Will's chance of finding traces of blood in the toilet. or simply straining to urinate).
don't think about Will confronting Hannibal once he's conscious. don't think about Hannibal's face crumpling because he's scared this'll be Will's motivation to leave; to go back to his old life now that Hannibal's is coming to an end. don't think about Hannibal spending these last few months knowing something was wrong; having an inkling there was probably a tumor growing around the area of his groin. yet having no means to get a diagnosis. not without the risk of being caught. not without the risk of losing Will. don't think about Hannibal begging Will to leave; to do the complete opposite of what he truly wants during his last few months of living. because Hannibal doesn't want Will to witness his rapid decline.
don't think about Hannibal and Will crying in each other's arms. don't think about them both having to accept their fate. don't think about Hannibal still attempting to be intimate with Will even as the act of orgasming results in agony instead of pleasure; how it feels like the muscles in his bladder are about to rupture the very last time he's intimate with Will. how he cries out of fear of disappointing Will any further. because he wants it too (this emotional and physical connection) and is disappointed in himself. and he wants to feel a sense of normalcy that he'll never have again. don't think about Will reassuring Hannibal with tender kisses and gentle words. stating sex isn't necessary. not if it only serves to bring Hannibal more and more pain.
don't think about Hannibal being in the bathroom one night and Will waking to an empty bed. finding Hannibal sitting on the toilet instead of standing. exhausted and on the verge of tears (because he needs to relieve the pressure in his bladder and urinate, but the tumor has doubled in size and is causing a blockage). don't think about Hannibal finally breaking down upon seeing Will because the discomfort is rising and his bladder feels as if it's about to explode. don't think about Will rushing to lay Hannibal on the floor and inserting a catheter. whispering frantic apologies and words of reassurance when Hannibal sobs and whimpers from the pain. hugging Hannibal once it's inserted and the pressure eventually abates. rubbing Hannibal's distended abdomen and bladder in soothing circles. don't think about Hannibal having to wear a catheter 24/7 during his last month of life.
don't think about Hannibal waking Will up in the middle of the night. because he knows he doesn't have much time left. don't think about Will awakening to an unfamiliar shift in Hannibal's tone: frail and tinged with fear and desperation for Will. don't think about Will holding Hannibal until the very end. don't think about Will falling asleep with Hannibal's limp body cradled to his chest. don't think about Will living alone for months on end. don't think about Will one day falling asleep in their large bed and somehow time traveling in the past; ending up at the cliff house with this past version of Hannibal (who's just entered the house with Will frozen in place in the driveway because all he can see is the back of Hannibal's head).
don't think about Will's voice breaking when he chokes out a whisper of Hannibal's name. don't think about Hannibal stopping mid-step because hearing his name fall from Will's mouth still feels foreign and it's all he's ever wanted. don't think about all the emotions warring inside Will's mind. don't think about Will striding across the room, hands shaking as he pulls Hannibal into a fierce embrace. don't think about Will whispering the words: "i've missed you so damn much." or even: "hi, baby." because he's overcome with emotion at having a second chance.
(i'll admit that i did in fact type this all out while listening to 'I Bet On Losing Dogs' by Mitski lol. it is perfect inspiration though. because you guys... imagine Will blinking past tears and thinking "i've got my baby back" and being so happy to reunite with Hannibal).
don't think about Will kissing Hannibal with a frenzied desperation and picking Hannibal up to take him to bed. don't think about Hannibal gasping into Will's mouth and feeling nervous and excited all at once. because this is all he's wanted for the last three years. don't think about Will realizing he shouldn't rush this (no matter how overwhelming it feels to be blessed with a second chance) because this is technically Hannibal's first time (even though Will is now familiar with every inch of Hannibal's body and knows what makes him gasp and writhe and tremble with pleasure).
don't think about Will noticing the familiar pinched expression twisting Hannibal's features with visible worry and nervousness. the same expression Will witnessed months ago during their last intimate night together; when Hannibal worried he'd disappointed Will; when Hannibal's agony drowned out every trace of pleasure that Will was desperate to wring out from his weak and easily fatigued body; when it became apparent Hannibal had endured this discomfort for Will's satisfaction. don't think about Will realizing this time that Hannibal's discomfort and apprehension is due to being touch-starved and that he's nervous about climaxing too soon. that it'll disappoint Will.
Will feels the complete opposite of disappointment and wants to witness Hannibal succumb to every pleasurable sensation. even if it ends sooner than Hannibal wants.
imagine Will eating Hannibal out with sheer tenderness. relentless and fluid arcs of his swirling tongue and drawn out suckles. imagine Will's hand reaching between Hannibal's spread legs and wrapping around his throbbing cock. imagine Hannibal's flushed face buried in the bed sheets, fingers clawing at the comforter for stability because he never expected his first time with Will to be like this. imagine Hannibal on the verge of sobbing because it's too much; too foreign of a sensation; being touched and coaxed towards a rapidly approaching climax by a skilled mouth and a steady hand. being worshipped by Will after enduring years of forced celibacy.
imagine Will clutching one of Hannibal's trembling hands and reminding Hannibal it's okay to come; that he doesn't have to wait any longer; that he deserves this. imagine Will's thumb smoothing over Hannibal's twitching knuckles. Will's tongue diving back in between Hannibal's red and chafed cheeks. Hannibal's movements and whimpers bordering on frantic as he thrusts into the calloused cage of Will's fist until he's ultimately overcome by a breath-stealing climax.
imagine Will cherishing this moment with his entire heart. knowing he was once again able to bring Hannibal over the threshold of desperation and into the pleasure of release without any trace of pain. something he hasn't been able to do in a very long time.
imagine Will kissing every inch of Hannibal's sweaty skin. leading Hannibal (who's legs are shaking, rendering him off balance) into the shower. washing Hannibal's hair and body with gentle touches. kissing away Hannibal's silent tears of overwhelm. washing Hannibal's back. kissing Hannibal's nape and the Verger brand. wrapping his arms around Hannibal's waist. hands trailing over the thick hair curling over Hannibal's groin; right around the area of Hannibal's bladder; searching for any signs of discomfort. feeling his heart skip a beat when Hannibal's breath hitches; out of overwhelm or pain, he can't be sure and doesn't dare to ask. not wanting to break the peace of this moment. not wanting to alarm Hannibal (who finally seems to have everything he's ever wanted). it's a long-awaited moment Will can't bear to ruin for Hannibal. not right now.
it prompts Will to make a spur of the moment decision that they should leave as soon as possible; flee to another country where Hannibal can get screened for signs of bladder cancer or any other anomalies. when Hannibal eventually questions Will's motives for a finding nearby doctor, he makes an excuse that it's a simple precaution; that it's because Hannibal hasn't been to a doctor in three years. imagine if in this universe, Hannibal's bladder cancer is caught and treated early. imagine if in this universe, Will and Hannibal get their happily ever after. something Will never takes for granted. even during arguments or disagreements.

if hannibal taught me anything, it’s the fantasy of kissing someone while their face, lips nd even body are completely covered in blood. you know, love metaphors. even if they stab me and then hug me right after, it’s fine by me.

One of my absolute favorite things about Hannibal fanfic is that everyone just makes up Will’s dogs’ names. We know Winston, and I see Buster a fair bit, but the rest are just an empty space for people to put in their pets’ or friends’ names or an oblique reference or something that speaks to Will’s past and I just think that’s really fun for all of us

‘I don’t want you to starve!’ Jil looked at Hannibal with alarm and then kissed him. ‘Do you think the others will know to send food? We can order and send for food ourselves if we have to.’ Now she was worried, not so much for herself but for her Alpha. He was spending a lot of energy on her.
‘You do. You make me the happiest Alpha in the world.’ Lestat’s smile was wide and goofy. He tilted his head back in bliss, moaning as Louis sucked on him.
‘I love you too. Very much.’ Daniel’s voice was low and soothing. ‘We’ll take things at your pace. But is this okay for now?’ He kept gently stroking Armand’s bottom.
The Farm
Hannibal Lecter was the chief doctor and surgeon on an omega farm. His duties included keeping the Omega healthy and delivering the children that were always being born.
He had a highly efficient team that worked to do their best to look after the omega on the farm. He knew the owner cared very little besides what money they could make off the omega, so Hannibal did what he could.
He was in his office reviewing the tasks that needed doing that day. He was always repairing the damage that alphas inflicted on the omega, patching them up to send them back for sex.
He looked up as his office door opened.

Ok but sleeping with Alana couldn't have been extremely entertaining to Hannibal. He might have enjoyed it from the point of view that Alana is a gorgeous woman + he was very much aware he was good at what he was doing but that's it. I am not saying Alana would be bland, maybe sleeping together was even fun but that's it.
Hannibal is a sadist. Will calls the Ripper a sadist in the first season so not only is it something obvious to draw from Hannibal's actions but it's confirmed by Will as well. And sadism doesn't resume to crimes. Sadism doesn't stop where sexual preferences begin.
Is he also a masochist? Ummm yes and no. No because he has a god complex and he is a sadist in the first place. He inflicts pain, he needs to be in control of who is suffering. He decides when and how and for how long. He can't stand being vulnerable so no. However yes, only when it comes to Will. Their back and forth flirting ("i send someone to kill you, you send someone to kill me"), Will shooting him almost two times, Will almost stabbing him in Dolce etc, was probably how Hannibal might have discovered a truth about himself: pain feels good if it comes from Will Graham.
Will himself could have walked away from Hannibal after being acquitted but he did not. Will could have let Hannibal go after Mizumono. Will could have let Hannibal rot in jail. He didn't do any of these because the pain that comes from Hannibal is the good type of pain. It's intimate and it's dark and it's coming from someone who knows his limits. So Will himself is a masochist for the simple fact that he keeps chasing Hannibal.
As for the sadist part, Will sure has some "shades of gray" but he is not yet fully comfortable with them. Hannibal on the other hand, as I mentioned, is for sure the type who needs to inflict pain.

If there was a season 4 of Hannibal it should be the fbi trying desperately to find Hannibal and Will and every time it cuts to Hannibal and Will they're just doing some domestic stuff together.
Jack: Well keep searching! Lord knows what horrors Hannibal is cooking up at this very moment!
The rest of the fbi: *sweating coffee and trying to keep their eyes open*
*cuts to nice house in the middle of nowhere*
Will: Hannibal, Jefferey barfed on the bed again...
Hannibal: I don't know why you're telling me, he's your dog.

Hannibal laughed, “Louis you’ll need to keep an eye on him! He’s always looking for the pretty boys!”
Armand quietly washed then got changed. He didn’t know what to do or say as they all teased each other, he was so used to just trying to get through the day where nobody spoke to him.
Louis shook his head laughing and waited for Lestat to shower. He saw Armand awkwardly hovering unsure what to do.

Louis de Pointe Dulac had made the corps de ballet. He stepped into the classroom and quietly sat in the back setting his bag down as he got ready to stretch. He stared around at the other dancers, he saw the other beginner dancers like him as well as the Principal dancers, the best of the company. The teacher walked in and started instructing the warm up exercises.
