“You scared, Stevie?” Bucky smirked at the man sitting next to him. Steve decided he wanted to kick off the fall season with some scary movies. Now, Bucky being the horror movie fan he is, isn’t affected by the scares. In his opinion, they’re all too cheesy. Steve on the other hand? This man has been nibbling at his fingers since five minutes into the movie, jumping at every scream, jump scare, and anything else that spooked him. And Bucky’s dick is loving that.

“No…” Steve mumbled, staring at the screen wide eyed. Another jump scare happened causing Steve to let out a little yelp and hide his face in his knees that he had pulled up to his chest. Bucky hummed knowing the younger man was lying.

“I know you’re scared, baby. We can turn it off and watch something else.” Or do something else his mind helpfully supplied. 

Steve looked up from his knees and looked at Bucky with watery eyes. He tried to be brave and get through the movie because the older man loves them but he just can’t. Bucky held a hand out to Steve, which he took, and pulled the younger man into his lap. Steve straddled Bucky’s lap burying his face in his boyfriend’s neck.

“I tried, Daddy. I promise!” 

“And I’m so proud of you.” Bucky wrapped his arms around his baby. “You just wanted to do something Daddy liked, huh?” Steve nodded, keeping his face hidden and flinched when there was a scream from the movie. Bucky grabbed the remote and paused it for now. He gently pushed Steve to sit up. “Do you wanna keep watching it or do you wanna do something else? Maybe watch a happier movie?”

Steve shrugged and grabbed one of Bucky’s hands, playing with his fingers. He really did want to finish the movie because it’s one of Bucky’s favorites. But he also didn’t know if he’d be able to get through it. The two sat in silence for a few more minutes before Bucky came up with an idea.

“Baby?” Bucky gently tapped under Steve’s chin to get him to look at him. Once he had ocean blue eyes meeting his own storm cloud gray, Bucky asked, “Would you like something in your mouth to keep you occupied? To take your mind somewhere else if you get too scared?” 

Steve nodded, “Can I have your fingers? Wanna be held tight.”

Bucky smiled and grabbed Steve face, pulling him in to kiss his nose. “Absolutely, baby boy. Let’s get comfy.”

Steve slid off Bucky’s lap and cuddled into his side. He grabbed Bucky’s hand and brought it to his mouth while Bucky used his other hand to press play on the remote. Steve brought Bucky’s thumb to his mouth while the movie continued with screams of terror. As Steve continued to suck on Bucky's thumb, his mind went blank, his eyes got heavy and his breathing evened out. Bucky noticed Steve’s more relaxed form and hugged him tighter. The older man turned the movie off and grabbed the blanket they kept on the back of the couch, covering Steve and some of himself. Bucky closed his eyes and fell asleep with his baby in his arms and a smile upon his lips.
