It’s always a bit of a reflective day today. I spent a lot of time this year learning to be a dad, which left little time for personal art. I spent this year making some illustrations and maps for my own world. I also started a collaborative illustration project with and a world building effort with a great author for a multi part novel series that will be out hopefully this coming summer. I feel that this project has propelled my art to new levels as we are fleshing our a different style than what I am used to doing. So In no particular order. #Repost @heddels_ with @get_repost ・・・ You probably haven’t heard much about WWII souvenir wallets, nor have you heard much about @north_no_name, but no judgment because neither had we!⁣ ⁣ Tokyo-based North No Name specializes in vintage reproduction and they chose to focus on an often neglected niche in the vintage world: souvenir wallets. These wallets, like the better-known souvenir jackets, would have been picked up by American servicemen stationed abroad. These hand-painted artisan crafts were never in wide distribution and consequently are extremely rare today.⁣ ⁣ If you’ve ever been interested, now’s your chance. The reproduction versions are much nicer than anything sold abroad would have been in the 1940s. The trucker-style wallets are made from horsehide and even have a zip pocket and an eyelet for a chain. Harry is attempting to return to true form; all the multi Harry's are attempts to return to life as a mermaid. This is why in Lights Up there is a flash of him screaming over his reflection; the group sex aloe vera spell failed. One of his attempts became what we now know as pantsfish. While in the moment, this form was disorienting & made Harry fear his dimple, was lost forever, once Jeff had soothed him w Tequila & soft oyster shell beds Harry decided to at least monitise his pain via merch.

anon, i really really like the idea that harry’s efforts to become a pantsfish went horribly awry and the result was handpants.

The colorful, festive bag they have stuffed the presents in is far too misleading, because the gift itself is just... a bunch of items shoplifted from multiple stores. There's pins with various slogans and cryptid-themed art, keychains of birds and dogs, a few packets of cookies, and... a weird pair of gloves with the logo "handpants" printed on them. They think they're so funny.

The absolute clusterfuck of gifts within the bag leaves Nikki nearly wheezing with laughter. It's chaotic and messy in all of the best ways -- and quite a few of these will get put to good use. Her house was desperately lacking in any sort of decor, and what better for a shapeshifter than cryptid art?

Ive grown to fucking love it tbh, it takes quite the amount of skill to trick people that your handpanting is just a filter on a picture. The weird details/undetails contrast is pretty hit or miss i feel but looking at more of at Carley Mazur's other work you notice its pretty much her style. And its a good style tbh

@ ppl who still play Magic, what's your opinion on the new Faithless Looting art? I see it get a lot of hate but I'm wondering if that's like the majority opinion or if that's just the people who are most vocal
