falls asleep on the couch: naoki, he’s definitely prone to exhausting himself and taking impromptu naps if he can get comfy. makes friends with the neighbors: i don’t know if either would make friends, but both do have to work customer service, so they’re at least good at acting very friendly is the adventurous eater: depending on how extreme it is, naoki is probably willing to try if everyone else is. yosuke isn’t risking it forgets to do the dishes: i think both of them are fairly responsible on this, but probably yosuke just a bit more tries to surprise their partner more often: yosuke since he seems like someone who looks at those “10 fun things to try in a relationship” columns in magazines  leaves dirty laundry on the floor: probably yosuke, who did it on accident stays up til 2 AM reading: yosuke but also he does this even when not reading since adhd is like that sings in the shower: yosuke does and it’s american music takes the selfies: i think they both pretty equally do, especially if they can get the other off guard in the background plans date night: yosuke plans official date nights and naoki will plan on the whim date nights where he just last minute tells yosuke to get his jacket and shoes

twenty eight. cryptid — konishi naoki/hanamura yosuke (168 words)

“Are…. are you supposed to be a werewolf?”

Yosuke shakes his head, pulling off the fuzzy paw gloves he was wearing. “Labrys wanted to match,” he reasons, and Naoki slowly nods his head, studying him.

“Where’s your costume anyway?” Yosuke asks, handing the gloves over to Naoki.

Naoki shrugs. “Don’t have one.” 

“You really don’t have one?”

“I just said so,” he says, pulling the gloves on. “Oh, wow. These are warm.”

“Yeah, I have just been wearing them for a while.”

Naoki swats at him with a fuzzy paw, though the absurdity of it makes the both of them laugh.

“Hey, senpai?”

“Mhmmm?”

There’s a pause, a beat of a moment, and then Naoki brings up one of the paws curled at chin level and tilts his head. “You know, like, nya?” He had already broken character to laugh and grin, enjoying himself, and Yosuke can’t help but follow suit in reaction. It was hard not to when Naoki having fun was as rare as any cryptid.

i really like how the p4 manga handled naoki’s eighth rank scene from the game, since i always felt the scene was a bit weird since you never saw yosuke or naoki interact before it for yosuke to show up and say some fairly insensitive things even when he was trying to be a good person about it and cheer naoki up. 

the manga not only establishes yosuke and naoki talking before hand so it’s not a surprise to either of them the other is there, but also naoki’s key item being the junes receipt is referenced by yosuke physically handing him it when naoki wants to pay for his food than let yosuke pay for it, which is a nice incorporation and a way of showing the gap being bridged between them with a physical interaction.

also the framing of it makes it really gay on top of every single other interaction these two have over the course of the social link

ten. forest — hanamura yosuke/konishi naoki (204 words)

“I told you that you were going to fall,” Naoki sighs, offering a hand to Yosuke to help him up from the base of the tree.

“C’mon — it at least made you smile, didn’t it?” Yosuke counters, getting to his feet and flinching at the pressure on his left foot.

Naoki gives him a look. “I’m not smiling now,” he says, before looking down upon noticing Yosuke shifting his weight. “Oh god — you sprained your ankle, didn’t you?”

“No…..?”

“Don’t lie to me, asshole, I can see it swelling.”

“Nothin’ too bad,” Yosuke responds and shrugs nonchalantly. He takes a step forward and flinches, wobbling before Naoki gives him support under his arm.

“What am I going to do with you,” Naoki sighs, wrapping an arm around his waist in turn. 

“You’re gonna take me back to town…?” Yosuke guesses, and Naoki looks away, but he’s unable to hide the fond snort that follows.

“What If I just leave you here with your phone so you can call for help?”

“Oh, you wouldn’t do that.”

Naoki rolls his eyes with a smile and starts guiding Yosuke along. “We gotta go so you can get off your feet and ice that, come on.”

yosuke/naoki hcs that no one asked for:

- yosuke hands naoki his wallet whenever he knows he’s gonna make bad choices with his money. he trusts naoki isn’t gonna use his card and it’s very easy to give yosuke a stern look and tell him no when he asks for it.

- naoki is up to date on keeping his first aid kit he carries around stocked bc he knows yosuke is accident prone

- yosuke enjoys embarrassing naoki since naoki just gets faux annoyed and embarrasses himself further, which is always entertaining for yosuke

- they have a long distance relationship while naoki stays in inaba and yosuke goes to tokyo for uni, so they constantly text and send each other update pictures
