Stop thinking, and start doing, that’s what you told Robert that night at the bar and that’s exactly what he does.

Over and over and over again until you’re overwrought from the pleasure, until your neighbours bang on the wall because he’s making you come for the fourth time and his palm over your mouth can’t suppress the sweet sounds that emit from your throat.  

“I love the noises you make when you come undone.” He mumbles against your skin as his lips brush over that delicate little spot just underneath the curve of your jaw. “It’s like ASMR for my dick.”

You laugh then and that sound, it fucking ruins him.

He spends the night tangled up in you, his thumb chasing over the apple of your cheek as he watches you sleep. He doesn’t do much of that anymore, he’s had mad insomnia ever since his last tour, he usually survives on cat naps in between his shifts but as he lies here with you, he feels himself drifting. It’s a calming sensation, one that floods through his system as his muscles start to relax.

And it takes him a second to realise what’s happening, to understand the reason he craves you like no one else.

That feeling he gets whenever he’s with you. It’s peace and Robert, he hasn’t known peace for the long time.

 Not until tonight.

"Paramount+ Announces Season 3 Renewal for 'Mayor of Kingstown'".

Jeremy Renner leads the cast of "Mayor of Kingstown," portraying Mike McLusky, an influential figure from the power-centric McLusky family in Kingstown, Mich. Set against the backdrop of a town where incarceration is the dominant business, the series sheds light on systemic racism, corruption, and societal imbalances. As the McLuskys strive to instill order and justice in a place devoid of both, the narrative unfolds.

Supporting Renner are a group of stellar actors: Dianne Wiest plays Miriam McLusky, Mike's mother. Hugh Dillon, one of the show's creators, appears as detective Ian Ferguson. Taylor Handley portrays Mike's sibling, Kyle McLusky, while Emma Laird is seen as Iris, an escort. Tobi Bamtefa plays Bunny, the head of the Kingstown Crips. Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Aidan Gillen further bolster the cast with their roles as another detective, a police sergeant, and a Russian mob figure, respectively. The series was birthed by the collaborative minds of Dillon and Taylor Sheridan, who, alongside Renner and other talented individuals such as Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, and others, also hold executive production roles. It is a joint venture production between MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

The launch of "Mayor of Kingstown" marked the inaugural show to premiere as part of Sheridan's extensive collaboration with ViacomCBS. This partnership blossomed after the rave reception of "Yellowstone." Besides "Mayor of Kingstown," Sheridan's footprint on the streaming service encompasses the “Yellowstone” spin-offs "1883" and "1923", as well as series like "Tulsa King," "Special Ops: Lioness," and the anticipated “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” and “Land Man."

Though specific viewership figures remain undisclosed, Paramount+ has indicated that during its second season, "Mayor of Kingstown" was a formidable contender, ranking third on their platform, trailing just behind "1923" and "Tulsa King."

Day Five - Robert reminisces about how it started between the two of you.

It’s Day 8 and Robert’s drowning his sorrows in O’Brien’s with cheap bourbon as he listens to the sounds of pool balls clacking against one another on the table behind him. The liquid winds down his throat, searing down his oesophagus before the heat blossoms in his chest. If you were here right now you’d be reaming him out for drinking cheap shit but that’s part of the problem you’re not here right now, he was told by the doctor today it’s unlikely you ever will be.

He’d already known that with every passing day you spent unconscious your chances diminished. He just hadn’t realised how bad they were until the doctor had taken him to one side and told him to prepare for the worst.

It hadn’t really been a reality at that point because his girl, she’s a fighter but some battles, he realises, they’re just not meant to be won.

His phone vibrates in his pocket and Robert ignores it once again because he already knows who it is and he’s not ready for that news just yet. He raises his hand to the bartender, signalling for another as Ian slips onto the stool beside him.

Robert can barely look at him these days, the only thing that stops him from wrapping his hands around the other man’s throat and choking him out is the fact he managed to keep you alive until the ambulance arrived.

Twenty seconds, that’s how long it took for Ian to tuck his dick back into his pants and come to your aid, you wouldn’t have even been there if it wasn’t for him stopping because he had a prostate the size of a grapefruit.

“The hospital have been trying to call.” He says as Robert’s hand wraps another glass of bourbon, gripping it so tightly his knuckles turn white. “Rose, she’s asking for you.”

Robert’s head pivots so fast, he’s surprised he doesn’t give himself whiplash.

“She’s awake?” He questions, his heart beating manically in his chest.

“Yea.” Ian says, his hand coming to rest on Robert’s shoulder, squeezing it lightly. “She woke up an hour ago. She wants to know what’s taking you so long.”
