Another throwback, from that time my mum came to my first ever singing gig. This must be, what, 1999? 2000? At a long gone venue called the Red Eye in Kings Cross. Mum and StepDave dressed up, brought friends who dressed up. StepDave even made band t-shirts. We didn't even have merch at the time so he was possibly wearing the first ever Interlock merch. There's another photo somewhere of Dave. He turned up with blue hair, mum with pink hair. They both looked amazing, as did their friends Wendy and Steve. Mum cannot have enjoyed the music at all, but StepDave was always one of our most enthusiastic fans and supporters, so generous with his experience and knowledge of the music industry. I remember thinking Mum looked so utterly beautiful this night. She suits pink hair. I don't remember much else about the night, other than being so nervous I don't think i stopped shaking for the entire gig.
