I haven't been here for a while! I swear this platform is my alternative diary but I often forget to visit. I'm like all over the place these days but also kind of missing out a lot for several reasons.

So I decided to change my name from the very plain jessibunch to something that suits me better: halcyerene. Halcyerene (read as hal-serene) is two similar words combined: halcyon (as in halcyon days) and serene. These words resonate to me so much. Apart from the fact that halcyon is a word I find beautiful just by listening to its sound, it also resonates to me because on a similar note, it means being carefree or flourishing or idyllic. It signifies peace and serenity. Not to mention it also happens to be a name of a beautiful blue bird. Just how prettier can this word get? I am so glad I remembered this word and got the idea to use it as my URL. Thanks to Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon Days, now I get to be halcyerene! 💞
