I never really understood why they had to pretend Sannan was dead anyways. Like if you dislike the dude(Itou), why even commit yourself to coming up with an explanation/lie for Sannan's sudden recovery? I felt like Itou's presence was on a "need to know" basis. "Sannan is getting better. That's all you need to know"

Also, If it was such a secret, why not have Sannan simply limit his movements, keep his arm in a sling for a little while and pretend to be healing over time as if he was still human.

Assuming Hijikata jumped the gun for an excuse to off the dude but damn. It felt like unneeded energy spent on keeping Sannan's Fury form a secret for someone they didn't respect anyways. 🤔 I don't know. I could be missing something...

Hi, you’re all most likely aware how the scene “rasetsu attacks Chizuru at night and Itou finds out Sannan is alive” plays out a little different in Kyoto Winds than in the anime/earlier versions. I remember somewhere is a post going more in depth of the changes in said scene so I won’t go analysing those, just this thing that irked me (among other things). Super fast summary, Itou arrives the scene before Sannan, demanding explanation of dirty(bloody) room, Sannan walks in like “sorry my fault” Itou being O.o and then Hijikata just admits the secret straight away.

Like maybe he’s so fed up with Itou he just wants him gone quickly but please at least try something before admitting it.

Honestly, if Chizuru ever got the chance to punch Kazama, Id take it in a heartbeat. Dont care what route im going for. I would die happy if I got to see Chizuru beat the shit out of him.
