Business owners would come out of their stores and cheer us on as we filled up the streets with #BleEtWouge Flags. -- Most of these kids are in High School now or College. We urge you to share this page with your friends as we are trying to spread more awareness of creating a sustainable lifestyle for the locals in distress in #Haiti. Allow us to introduce ourselves. Haitian American Relief Effort is a sister non-profit company to the Haitian American Hurricane Matthew Relief Effort (H.A.H.M.R.E). Haitian American Hurricane Matthew Relief Effort was founded in October 2016 after the category four hurricane Matthew left southern parts of Haiti in utter devastation causing many to be homeless with out food and for some, their lost loved ones. H.A.H.M.R.E. came together with the guidance and leadership of Mandodo Foundation and Haitian American Nurse Association to raise the awareness of Haiti's dire need of medical attention, food, clothing, and other non-perishable items. As a result of this call, tens of thousands of dollars were raised, several containers filled with donated items were imported to Haiti, many pharmaceutical products were donated, and three mission trips were planned and executed to provide the displaced with healthcare, a personal care package, and a warm meal. Since then, many of the volunteers from H.A.H.R.E. felt compelled to continue the work they began in Haiti in 2016 resulting in the creation of this non-profit company, Haitian American Relief Effort. This new relief group aims at continuing to provided a sustainable lifestyle to locals in various areas in Haiti.
