kuroo feels heartbroken seeing you in such a state of distress but he wants to be strong for you as it takes everything in him not to cry. he is probably the best at comforting people as he always knows what to say. he recognizes that this is not about him even though he wants to be selfish and tell you that he wouldn’t know what to do without you. he needs you to be strong and to fight this urge to hurt yourself but it’s okay if you’re neither of those at the present moment. time has a way of healing both physical and mental scars. he wants to be there with you through that time as you recover from this slip and remind you that you’re not too broken to fix. he’s someone who focuses on the present moment, helping you clean and wrap bandages over your wounds before making some tea and getting comfy with you in bed, reassuring you with all the steps you can take to make yourself feel better again. 

kenma wants to be the best he can for you as you’ve given him so much and he feels like you deserve the same in return. learning about your struggles with depression and self-harm somewhat shocked him like why would someone as wonderful as you have to suffer through something so horrible? he didn’t know when he would see that side of you because as far as he knew, you were always happy or at least, looked that way. finding out that you had relapsed into self-harm one day had admittedly thrown him for a loop. he wasn’t prepared and was honestly in much distress himself when he walked into the bathroom to see such an awful scene. he tried to remain calm as he focused on cleaning and wrapping up your arm, washing the red stains away. being the blunt person he is, he had to ask why. his tears fell when you couldn’t answer him. “don’t worry, i’ll be here for you through all of it. we can find out together why you’re hurting so you can never feel that pain again.” 

yamaguchi would openly cry when seeing you relapse and what you’ve done to yourself, the blood dripping down your arm as old scars revert back into fresh wounds. part of him is angry and frustrated that you would do this again but the other part, the majority, wants to gather you in his arms to shield you from whatever is haunting you, making you do this to yourself. he doesn’t say anything, afraid that his voice would be too loud and break the silence like a glass window. he simply helps you up and takes care of your injury before wrapping you up in a blanket. this is the part where he has to speak. he knows you’ve struggled before but it was before you were together and you promised you would be okay. you cried together about it and you finally spoke up about how you felt like a failure for breaking that promise. “p-please don’t say that,” he whispers, still sobbing. “you’re not a failure and never have been. we’ll work together to make you feel better again if that’s what it takes.” 

nishinoya would not be the best at comforting you as he doesn’t understand why you would want to hurt yourself but he would at least try his best. his first question would be ‘why?’ and he regrets it immediately. he doesn’t want you to suffer and wishes he could just take it all away from you. if he could, he would bear the burden if it meant you were happy forever. he feels useless in this situation but he does what he can as he pulls you in his lap, wraps his arms around you and rocks you comfortingly back and forth. he whispers words of encouragement behind you, practically pleading for you to be okay. he wants to apologize for how oblivious he was to this event but he realizes that he needs to focus on you and your recovery from it. he plans to ask you what he can do to help later on when you’re more rested but he does his own research on how to be a good support system for you as you sleep beside him. he occasionally reaches over to rub your head or back, your soft breathing subsiding his tears. 

suna isn’t the best with words and prefers to use actions to show his affections and comfort for you anyway. when he sees the fresh scars, you’re the one doing most of the talking or rather, apologizing for doing it and trying to hide it from him. it’s hard to read his expressions as he doesn’t have too many. you’re afraid of what he’ll do or say, fearing the absolute worst of him getting up and never seeing him again. instead, he simply takes your wrist gently in his hand, bringing it up to his lips, warmth pressing into your skin as he leaves little kisses. he then reveals that he’s known or at least, suspected it for a while but didn’t know how to bring it up. as much as you can get on his nerves sometimes, he nevers wants you to feel like this, like you’re not good enough or whatever the source of your depression. he tries to shower you with love and affirmations that you are enough, especially to him.

okay here’s a second try at angst so ya, not really ship but tsukkiyama moment (idfk reblog pls I’m desperate for attention.) (kinda a kinnie moment lol)

Tadashi. poor boy, his anxiety is gonna be the death of him. he first started developing it in his fourth year of primary school. He didn’t really say anything about it to anyone because when he brought it up to his dad he told him that “everyone goes through it” like it was just puberty or something and was also told to “man up”. So he kinda went through his primary years a complete mess. The worst thing about it was his insecurities always got the better of him. To the point where he would get so self-conscious in class that he would ask to go to the bathroom to get through his anxiety attacks. It was so bad one time the school had to call his mom because he was staying with her that week and she had to come to pick him up. (yes he has divorced parents fight me) when she asked him why he never said anything about how he was feeling he told her everything that his dad said and that pissed. her. off. After an hour of her screaming into a phone to a certain someone, she sat down with him and tried to confront him. She told him that he could go see a doctor about it if he wanted to. And that’s what they did. He got diagnosed with severe anxiety and was prescribed medications. This helped him with the anxiety attacks a lot but not so much insecurities. But that just goes along with growing up. At first, he didn’t see much wrong with his face he may have had uneven eyes and a weird smile but he liked his face. What he really didn’t like was his body. In primary school he was super skinny, he ate and worked out as much as he could to build up muscle but it was really a loss for him. When he started getting bullied for his freckles that was what really dragged him down. He started covering them up with concealer in his fifth year. Everything was fine and people kinda forgot till one of the girls pointed out that he was wearing “makeup”. Boy oh, fucking boy. That what you want everyone to hear as a primary school boy right? Honestly, the girl could care less and thought that it was kinda cute that he was good with make-up even if it was to cover up his beautiful specks. The boys on the other hand...literally overflowing with that toxic masculinity. That’s when the bullying began. He’d get teased, and get called feminine names which made him very uncomfortable. But it got worse when it started to get physical. After school, the same group of guys would wait outside of school just to follow him home to tease him and push him around. This went on all the way till his last year at primary school. It never really stopped but it definitely settled down once Tuskishima came into his life. Meeting him at the volleyball club the day after he made those bullies run away was the best thing that could have happened to him. Tadashi looked up to Tsuki a lot during his younger years, and although it isn’t the best way of doing it he learned to defend himself more with bullying (yes he’s a fucking bully too he’s just not as bad as Tsuki fight me pt2). Anyway, he still had it rough through his middle school year but for the most part, he was fine. He was winning his battles against anxiety and insecurity, especially since starting volleyball he’s built up muscle, and he’s grown to love his freckles a little more. Then again it came down like a hammer on him. His first year in high school, it was a class that he didn’t know anyone in so he kinda just kept to himself. Some guys came over and started talking to him and he thought they were really nice. They were all getting along until this girl came along and introduced herself to him. She was acting super flirty and he didn’t know why. One of the guys grabbed the girl by the waist pulling her against their chest. He looked pissed. He started yelling at Tadashi for flirting with his girlfriend and threatened to hurt him. Tadashi panicked and tried to explain that she came onto him which only made the situation worse. The guy just started spewing insults at him, talking about how no one would ever date him because of this and that. What hit Yamaguchi hard though was “and don’t get me over your

pepperoni face. Come on it looks like you took a brown crayon and went to town on your face.” Everyone around him started laughing along and agreeing. Their mocking laughter only got louder and louder to him, his breath started staggering and his eyes clouded with tears. He pushed them out of the way and ran to the bathroom. He stares at himself in the mirror letting the sobs escape, he turns on the water and wets his hands. He starts violently rubbing his face then wetting his hands more, and repeating the process. He didn’t realize it himself but he started scratching at his face, turning it red and leaving marks. The door opened to the bathroom but Tadashi didn’t hear. It was Tsukki luckily. “Hey Tadashi I went into your class and they said you would be in here what going on-” his word stopped as he saw his best friend torturing himself. He walked over and grabbed his hands hardly making Tadashi face him. “What are you doing?” he questioned? Tadashi couldn’t manage to get out any words before he collapsed into Tsukki’s arms. Tsukki drags him over to a wall where he sits down. Tadashi laid in between his legs sobbing against his chest. He started running his fingers up and down Tadashi’s spine, in a couple of minutes he had calmed him down until his sobs turned into sniffles and his breathing began to go back to normal. “M’ sorry Tsukki. I didn’t mean to just collapse on you like that.” Tadshi sits up walking back over to the mirror to fix himself back up. “What happened Tadashi.” Tsukki asks getting up as well and dusting himself off. “Nothing it was just a panic attack. I haven't had one in a while so it was overwhelming.” Tsukki grabs Tadashi’s shoulder and starts to massage them gently. “Don’t lie, you suck at it. Plus, I told you to text me when that stuff happens. You usually get more embarrassing than before and do something stupid. So I’ll ask again, what happened.” Tadashi sighs gripping the sides of the sink. “Just some stupid assholes. Threatened to beat me up if I kept talking to their girlfriend even though she came on to me. Said something about my freckles. I don’t know. I’m over it, I had my episode I’m fine now.” “Tadashi, they are just idiots. You know that, I don’t know why you got so worked up about it. Your freckles look fine.” Tadashi froze and looked up at him. That's all? It’s just fine? So it just shouldn’t have any effect on him at all? Does he even remember all of the time he would vent to him about stuff like this? The offense he took from this was unreal. “Of course you would say that. Have you ever actually been bullied or were you always the one bullying? You have no idea what goes on in my head so you have no room to talk about how I deal with my problems Tsukishima. Honestly, you're such a pain in the ass sometimes, just acting all nonchalant. Whatever. See you at practice.” He grabs the paper towels out of the dispenser and walks out of the bathroom. That day at practice the tension between the two did not go unnoticed.

Puppy Love || t.yamaguchi

Asking to get a dog was oddly nerve-racking for Yamaguchi. He wasn’t quite sure why - after all, you’d moved in with him. The worst you could have done was say you didn’t want one.

You’d agreed though, and now here you and he stood at the shelter. He looked a little nervous; you could see the anxiety growing in his eyes. He often got like that whenever he had to make decisions, but you found it oddly cute.

“How about him?” Yamaguchi said, pointing to a rather scruffy looking mutt. The dog looked interesting to say the least.

“Hm. Maybe not.” You said with a dry laugh, linking your pinkie with his. He gave you a warm smile and hummed in response before letting you lead him somewhere else.

You’d spotted the kennel with the puppies. Or rather, you’d spotted the kennel with a litter of your favorite breed. Offering Yamaguchi an overly dramatic pout, you muttered a, “Please, Yams?”

A smile made its way onto his lips. Butterflies always swarmed in his stomach when he spoke to you, no matter how long you’d been together, but they were particularly bad today. He nodded and watched your eyes light up with excitement.

A squeal left your lips at you threw your arms around the green-haired boy. You left a butterfly kiss on him whenever you pulled back, then turned back to the kennel. His face heated up into a blush, but you didn’t seem to notice it. You were too busy making kissy noises at the puppies.

The puppy looked at Yamaguchi with the sweetest eyes it could muster, although Yams kept the uncomfortable one he was wearing. He didn’t have the heart to scold it, but it had chewed the baseboard to pieces.

You had gone to get groceries for a few hours, yours and Yams appartment was new and therefore void of any snacks.

“C’mere,” Yamaguchi said, sitting on the floor in front of the puppy. His voice was soft and he held a toy in his hand. Well, at one point it was a toy. Now it was a piece of multi-colored fabric without any stuffing in it. “You’ve got all these toys we bought you, why are you chewing our new place up, huh? What are you gonna tell your zaza when they come home?”

The dog let out a whine, before jumping onto Yamaguchi. It rolled around on his lap, teething on his hand. Yams couldn’t help but smile at the puppy, watching it tire itself out for a while.

At some point - he didn’t know when - the puppy fell asleep and he was soon to follow. You were more than a little concerned when Yamaguchi didn’t unlock the door for you, but after you got in you realized why.

You found him on the floor, leaned against the couch, with a bundle of fur and a half-destroyed toy in his lap. He looked so peaceful.

“Sweet boys,” You whispered softly, crouching beside Yams and kissing his temple. Brown eyes fluttered open and looked at you, confused. “Do you want to go to bed?”

He didn’t say anything, too tired. He just nodded and let out a string of mumbles that may have been words, you weren’t sure. He scooped the dog up before walking into your shared bedroom and curling up to sleep. The dog made his bed next to Yamaguchi, right between where you and he slept.

“G’night, angel.” He said, fading back into sleep.

Okay, here me out

Set up: Tsukki lives with Yachi and Yams, works at a book store. That’s it...

Blurb:

Tsukishima was sitting on the couch, legs crossed over the coffee table and book in his lap with his glasses pushed up on his head as he rubbed sleepily at his eyes when the door to his apartment opened where he spared a brief look at his smaller roommate struggling to bring in the bags from shopping. He let out a sigh and went back to his reading, letting the girl struggle.

“I guess I'll just bring back that shampoo you like that you’re too afraid to buy for yourself.” She hauled the bags onto the counter and leveled him with a stare. 

With a heavy sigh, Tsukishima closed his book and stood from the couch, walking over to help her put the food away and sort through the things that would need to go in other rooms when he found the aforementioned bottle of strawberry shampoo and that matching conditioner that made his hair feel like silk and he would vehemently deny, under penalty of death, to enjoying. Along with the hair products, he pulled out some skin care products, turning the blue tube of a mud mask over in his hands to examine.

Yachi pulled herself up to sit on the counter and smiled at him, swinging her legs back and forth a little “I was thinking, Yamaguchi isn’t going to be home tonight because of that work thing. How about we have a skin care night? Just... light a candle and relax with a face mask”

Tsukishima made a face “sounds awful, really”

“Come on, you can still read your book with a face mask on. It’s not going to be worse than that one time you let me braid your hair when you let it get too long. At least you don’t need to completely stop what you’re doing this time. And it won’t be as painful, I promise” she smiled innocently as she watched Tsukishima turn the tube of product over and over in his hand, thinking. “Come on, it’ll be like that shampoo... but for your face. You’re gonna love it. And if you don’t then we never have to do it again.”

He heaved another heavy sigh and pushed his glasses up to rub at his eyes again “fine, just this once. And it’s not because I like that shampoo. it’s because if I say yes now then you’ll leave me alone later so I can keep reading” the tips of his ears were dusted pink as Yachi jumped from the counter, giggling. she grabbed his hand and dragged him to the bathroom, gathering her other skin care products. “You need to start with a clean face...” she explained, grabbing some of her hair clips and climbing to stand on the closed toilet seat so she could clip Tsukishima’s bangs out of his face and gently took his glasses off, setting them on the counter.

He blinked at her slowly, squinting when his glasses where removed and making Yachi giggle at the sight. He rolled his eyes before closing them, letting her do what she was planning having already agreed to this skin care night.
