Gets so excited when he gets subbed in bcs I think he would feel sad if he didn’t get to play while you’re all dressed up

The moment Suga sees you he can feel his face heating up. He’s almost glad he isn’t playing right now, he’s not sure he would be able to play properly with you looking so cute. He was wondering where his extra jersey went and he finally found his answer, you’re wearing it. He kind of freezes in place and misses what’s going on in the game because you’re smiling so brightly and look so cute while you’re cheering. 

After the game he runs up to the barrier between the stands and you come down to greet him. “My love, you played so well,” you say leaning over the railing to speak to him easier. 

“Don’t lean over the railing where you could fall.”

“You would catch me.”

“Maybe, might let you fall and learn your lesson.” You roll your eyes and go over to the stairs. He sees his number on your cheek and your pom poms much clearer when you’re in front of him.

He’s coming over to the stands at the end of the game and looking up at you asking you to come down

Yells at you flustered because he was very close to not being able to play correctly anymore

He sees you at what he would call the worst time. But it could’ve been much worse. He had just set the ball and he’s landing back down when he sees you with your sign and how loud you’re cheering. He knows it’s over for him when the others see you (how could they not you were cheering pretty loud).

“Did the King finally con someone into being his queen?” Tsukki teases during the small pause. His face grows warm and he sends a glare to Tsukki.

“I didn’t con them.” he grumbles under his breath. He looks up at you again and sees you grinning at him and looking at him like he hung the stars in the sky. He gives you a small smile back.

Do it again (he loves is but will act like he doesn’t)

Deals with the teasing from everyone else bcs they most definitely tease him

Atsumu

I would like to think Osamu actually sees you first and bursts out laughing (not bcs you don’t look good pookie but bcs of how Atsumu is going to react)

Quickly tells Suna to start recording because this is about to be comedy gold

Sees you when he’s serving (oops)

He throws the ball up and then it hits him on the head bcs he malfunctions when he sees you

Osamu lets out a small laugh and covers his mouth, the team is warming up currently, when he sees you. He elbows Suna and points in the stands to see you waving down at them and then point to your boyfriend. “Sunarin, start recording this is gonna be hilarious.” He whispers to the other as Suna nods and pulls out his phone with a smile. “Hey scrub!” Osamu calls out to his brother.

“What do you want? I’m in the middle of doing something!”

“Nothing, you’ll see later then.” He did try to warn him. He didn’t say he would try very hard so he just looks back at you with a shrug. The minute Atsumu goes to serve Suna zooms in while recording. When Atsumu throws the ball up he makes the mistake of finding you in the audience. Needless to say everyone was laughing as they watched his face turn red and the ball hit him on his head. 

Doesn’t have it in him to yell about you messing up his serves (he’s too shocked to anyway lol)

Semi

Malfunctions when he sees you

Luckily he’s not playing so he has time to collect himself

Unluckily Tendo also sees you and he knows he’s done for

Cue teasing and him trying to act like it didn’t have an effect on him

Semi sees you when they’re doing stretches to get ready to play. He pauses mid stretch, which gets him yelled at, and before he can compose himself Tendo also happens to see you. “Oho? Semi Semi, why didn’t you let the rest of us know you had such a cute little cheerleader?” Tendo teases as they stretch.

“Exactly that, they’re my cheerleader.” He glares at Tendo but then his face softens when he sees you wave slightly at him. He waves back with a gentle grin on his face. When he waves back he sees how your face lights up and you quickly gesture to your outfit and poster. You were going to be the death of him, he’s sure. 

“Save some for the rest of us.” Tendo rolls his eyes as he watches the exchange. 

Very happy that you’re cheering for him and it gives him more confidence when he plays again

Asks you to do it again but let him know and maybe he can help you get ready next time :(

Akaashi

I think he would handle it well

He sees you before the game because of that and needs a moment to collect himself

One of the lucky ones that gets to see you before he even goes on the court. He’s not as bad as Bokuto where he needs to be told there’s as girls cheering him on in order to play better. “No, it’s perfect.” You smile and bring his hands up to your mouth and place a gentle kiss on each finger. If he wasn’t flustered before he certainly is now, even though you do this before every game. 

He’s another one who’s able to focus on the game but only because he saw you beforehand

Atsumu just finished a victorious game with the Black Jackals. He’s looking everywhere for you, who would usually jump dramatically right into his arms and give him a celebratory kiss. However, he quickly starts getting worried when you’re nowhere to be seen and asks his managers for help when a security guard suddenly walks up, looking sort of amused.

“Say that again?” Atsumu asked, not quite sure what he was feeling yet. He just knew he needed to hear that one more time. Say, to solidify the moment in his memory.

“Your wife, she punched someone and was escorted to the back to fill out a report,” the security man repeated, pointing in the direction of where you should be. Atsumu huffed in disbelief, a grin taking over his face that he tried to diminish for the sake of appearances.

“Well, isn’t that great,” he chuckled, drying off his sweaty face with a towel before throwing it to the side and picking up his things. “Would you take me there? Thanks, man.”

The setter turned to his teammates and quickly said his goodbyes, saying he needed to go get you and would probably skip out on the drinks tonight anyway. The guard chuckled a little to himself when he saw that Atsumu was overall not very worried about your behaviour while the two strolled towards where you would be waiting. “She told me to find her pro-athlete husband who would undoubtedly back her up. And that’s a quote.”

Atsumu laughed loudly, sending a few waves to some fans who caught him passing by, thanking some others who told him he played great. The only thing on his mind now was you. “I got myself a good one.” The security guard only side-eyed him and kept leading him to the back office, where you sat on a chair with crossed arms as the other woman in the room was copying something you had signed so you’d have a copy to take home.

When your eyes finally settled on your sweaty husband, they lit up and you stood up from the chair, glancing at the older woman as if she was a police officer who wouldn’t let you greet him. “Tsumu!”

“Did ya get ‘em good, babe?” he teased, putting his arms around you in a big hug. You groaned into his chest but still confirmed, happy to finally have him there with you.

“I’m sorry I missed the end of your game,” you said, mouth falling into a straight line before leaning up for a peck on his lips. Atsumu hummed and was about to answer when the woman handed out some papers in your direction.

“This is basically just you being let off with a warning, ma’am. Please don’t punch anyone in the future, even if they deserve it.” She sent you a wink and you chuckled, taking the papers from her with a polite bow.

You turn to Atsumu with a bashful smile. “Home?”

Your husband also bowed to the woman and then the security guard before leading you outside by the hand, glancing back at you with love. “Let’s go home.”

With his witty jokes and handsome smile. The way he did small things like brought you lunch he would force his brother to make or study with you when he knew you had a test even if he didn’t care about studying. This is how it was for over two years. You were the one he chose out of everyone, and he made you feel on top of the world until he didn’t. After graduation Atsumu went off to play professional volleyball, which prevented you from seeing him often. That’s when it happened, he was back in town, and you were very excited to meet up. Kageyama huffs beside you, struggling to get the crochet hook inside the last stitch.

“You’ve got the idea of it though, which is good. Just…”

You move closer to him and grab his tucked hands. Suddenly distracted, you trace the bumps and scratches on his smooth skin, admiring how they contrast with the callouses that are forming on his fingertips as a result of years of volleyball practice.

Kageyama has lovely hands. His dedication to the sport never ceases to amaze you. Especially, when you sometimes find him filing and prepping his fingers before a game.

You make him hold the yarn while adjusting its tightness. You demonstrate how to relax his fingers by looping a strand of yarn around his forefinger and guiding him through a few double crochets. Eventually, you let him do it on his own. Often glancing to see if he needs any help.

Kageyama would begrudgingly deny the enjoyment one gets from such a tedious and mind-numbing task at first, but over time, he finds himself relaxing deeper on the couch and even occasionally glancing at the show on the TV.

When he's finished, he'll hand to you his work, a proud expression on his face as he watches you weave in the ends and put the beanie he helped make on his head.

"See, it wasn't so difficult now, was it?"

He fusses over this new achievement, even nodding to himself. "Only when you help."

You try to hide your laugh at the child-like adoration in his eyes.

And now, unbeknownst to him, it has become Kageyama’s favorite afternoon activity with you. He would waddle to the couch in the middle of the afternoon with a hook and yarn from your collection in hand, joining you in your crocheting.

Not only is it therapeutic, but it also gives him a sense of fulfillment to know that he has a part in your favorite little hobby.

“Why are you here, Oikawa-san?” His voice is rough from lack of use and so quiet that for a second, he doubts that Oikawa even heard him.

But the senior shifts towards him, eyebrows upturned in surprise. He shakes it off quickly, replaced instead by a haughty raised brow.

“My, not even a hello, how are you doing? How’s your day, Oikawa-senpai? Lovely manners, Tobio.” Oikawa drawls, waving a hand flippantly in the air. Despite his annoyed tone, his amusement slips through.

Oh, he’s being playful.

And the glint in his eyes isn’t his usual arrogance or smugness- it is full of mirth. A gentle kind, soft in a way he rarely sees the senior. Atleast, not towards him.

The older setter lights up when Kageyama cracks a small, barely there smile.

There’s a bout of silence and Oikawa sombers, turning back to the lake in front of them. There’s grimness in his rueful smile.

“I was getting my knee checked,” Oikawa says. “It didn’t hurt that bad, but Iwa-chan made me go anyway. He’s such a worrywart.” He huffs. Despite his attempt at a light tone, there’s a hint of despair that aches throughout it.

Kageyama glances at his knee and indeed, there’s a brace on it now.

Oikawa shrugs. “The doctor told me to take it easy for a bit, ‘no jumping or overworking’, he said.

“What does he know though? He doesn’t even play volleyball!” He throws his hands in the air in frustration before crossing his arms with a harrumph.

“How am I supposed to ‘not jump around’? I may not be a wing spiker, but that doesn’t mean my feet are always planted, ugh!”

Oikawa startles when he hears a chuckle beside him. His enraged eyes soften when they meet his junior’s blues.

“You can handle a few days without overworking, Oikawa-san.” Kageyama mutters, matter of factly.

“And if you don’t, Iwaizumi-san might force you into ‘taking it easy’ whether you’d like it or not.”

Oikawa chuckles, wistful.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
