Do you always get nasty asks like that??

Nah I usually get sweet asks, but for some reason somebody(s) have been sending me the usual “she/th is nasty” asks even though every “issue” with it is fan made: 

Pedophilia: Shiro and Keith were the only adults on the team at 18 and 25 and now because of [spoiler] events their ages are 20-21 and 25 so like ??? 

Incest: There have been no hints in canon that they’re related, and I’m pretty sure since Keith just wrapped up his biological family arc the possibility of Shiro being “surprise-related” as a plot twist would’ve been addressed, but it wasn’t because they’re obviously not related and it’s a boring as shit trope anyways

And one of the director/editors interviewed laughed at the thought of them being related

Also this fandom has a weird obsession with who’s related to who instead of recognizing the show is hyper aware of the shit tropes usually present in sci-fi fantasy and tries to avoid them 

Ex: Having the male fantasy characters do things that female characters normally have to go through such as being the damsel in distress and having the big bad villain want them as a slave 

Adopted siblings: Like Shiro, a 19-20 year old, would adopt a teenager when he’s in the military training to leave the Earth when it’s blatantly obvious that Shiro looking out for Keith was him scouting him out at a school and vouching for him so he has a better chance at life/a way out of the foster system

And like I could go on here but all the above points are also invalidated when you remember that the directors and staff have drawn and liked mushy she/th art so 

Sigh

Most anti arguments stem from their insecurities about how kl was never intended or wanted by the directors and it sucks that the rest of us have to deal with it, much like how Lance from s1 continued to be a bitch to Keith even though Keith had no clue why he was being harassed by a stranger (aka klantis are s1 Lance and it makes me embarrassed for them because it’s been two years and they haven’t grown up haha)
