“3 Trites please?“ she whines “No, 5 trites and that’s final.” She slams the coins down on the table, an archery quiver belt is thrown at her, and the woman at the counter scowls. She runs out of the tent, the glaring eyes watching every move and the stench of Mead becoming unbearable.

She moves through the bustling crowd, pulling her cloak tighter around her head, moving through the bustling crowd, the sea of grey and brown feeling like it goes on for eternity. She walks into an alley, rummaging through the garbage, searching for any amount of food to satisfy her hunger, 𝘉𝘰𝘯𝘬. An Apple core hit her on the head, “What the hell?” she turned around and saw a brunette girl with sun-kissed skin and wearing a yellow sundress behind her.

“Haeun” “Chaewon” “I see you’ve made yourself useful at the farmers market,” Chaewon says sarcastically. Haeun looked down at her in disgust, “Dumpster diving? Really? What are you? An animal?”

Chaewon rolls her eyes, “Well what am I supposed to do? Even buying stuff from the lowlanders, I’m putting myself at risk” She takes a look around and pulls Haeun in by her shoulders, “If they find out, they’ll kill us” she whispers. Haeun looks at her incredulously, she slowly grabs her cloak and pulls it over her head, yanking it down over her eyes. Chaewon shoves her and Haeun starts walking away, she runs to catch back up with her.

“Where did they set up camp?” “Just past the Southeastern border,” “I thought Jihye was supposed to be the smart one” “It was a strategic spot, nobody can see it form the wall.” “They speak Russian, we don’t speak Russian, how the fuck are we supposed to communicate with people if we can’t speak the language?” “We shouldn't be speaking to people anyway! Keep your head low and don't speak.”

“We’re low on supplies, we’ll starve if we don't get another load soon.” we’re walking into the woods, dense, I can see maybe 10 feet in front of us. “Damn it” Haeun mutters as she catches her foot on a rock, she extends her arm out, trying to catch something to stop her fall, I catch her arm, pulling her back up. She gets up, rolls her eyes, and pulls her arm away.

The sun is going down, the orange and yellow rays beating down on us, I’m sweating to death in my cloak, trying to keep hidden, just in case any guards are on patrol. Lake Khasan is cold, the current is strong.

Baking goods and messing up, but enjoying it anyway

“It’s easy! i saw it online,” Jiwoo assured Jay while peeling the label off of a small can of condensed milk. “We just let it simmer for and voila! Caramel!” She flourished her hands as if it was common knowledge.

“La! La!” Haeun giggled and threw her hands up in the air. Because if anyone knew how easy it was it had to be her… the little know it all.

With three overly confident chefs in the kitchen… what could go wrong?

It wasn’t long before every space of the counters were covered with flour. Not to mention there was more covering Haeun than needed to even make the pie crust. It didn’t stop the tiniest of the three from laughing and reaching for another bowl.

“What is my favorite girl doing?” J.Seph laughed as he caught the flour covered baby as she ran by. “Helping my other two favorite girls?” He peered over their heads and tried to grab a sliced apple without getting caught but Jay was too quick and slapped his hand with her spoon. “You’re making your way off my list. I’m telling on you,” he pouted and left the three to business.

Not long after, Jay tried to get make sense of the flour covering her now. “Just an hour to go and we’ll have apple pie!” Ji was already imagining how delicious it would be

“You have to see the cutest costume I found for Haeun while we wait,” the little wolf squealed and pulled her best friend from the kitchen.

Haeun modeled her fairy costume for Halloween when a loud boom scared them.

“What happened?” Matt asked running from across the house. Jiwoo and Jay stood in the kitchen and realized they made a big mistake. In all their excitement they forgot about the can turning into caramel. They shared a look between them and a tiny giggle. “And why is it always you two?”

Haeun wrapped her arms around Jay’s leg and smiled mischievously up at her. “Boom?” The curious little wolf asked, pointing at the mess in the kitchen.

“How do we get up there?” Ji asked looking around.

Jay followed her gaze and smiled. “Easy! I’ll pick you up and-”

“Oh, no you don’t. Out. All three of you,” Matt cuts her off with a stern look.

Jiwoo knew that look… plus Matt used his alpha voice. She scooped up Haeun and took Jay. “Do you think we can still have our pie?”

I think now that Renjun and I have had time to recover and take everything in… it’s time to make a special announcement!

On June 22, 2023, we welcomed the sweetest baby girl into the world. She is absolutely perfect with ten little fingers and ten little toes~

Little Miss Huang Haeun is already so loved and has us wrapped around her finger.

It wasn’t a surprise to J.Seph when Jiwoo bounced behind him. He was on his way to see his boyfriend and Jiwoo knew she could find her bestie with him.

“Yuck,” she giggled and scrunched her nose, pushing the two love birds out of the way. The small wolf stepped around the men and rolled her eyes. “She can’t be too far. Maybe she’s sleeping still,” she whispered to the bundle in her arms.

Jiwoo quietly walked through the house, looking for Jay. Her friend was easily found curled in the corner of the sofa with her nose in a book. “Whatcha reading?” She asked loudly, laughing when Jay dropped her book.

“My pretty wolf?” Jay shot up from her corner. “Come here and let me hug the hell out of you!” As she moved closer she noticed the baby girl wrapped up. “Baby!”

Haeun squealed and kicked her feet, just as excited to see Jay as Jay was to see her. “Wait till you see all the things she learned,” Jiwoo said proudly. They sat together and fell in sync like no time passed.
