Were any frev people tattooed?

All I can really come up with is the story that Napoleon’s marchal Jean Baptiste Bernadotte during the revolution had gotten a tattoo saying ”Long live the Republic” or ”Death to the King,” which is a bit ironic considering he himself would be crowned king of Sweden in 1818… According to this article, that story is however (and quite understandably) apocryphal and appeared for the first time in the play Le Camarade de lit from 1830.

Otherwise I haven’t really gotten a clue, anyone else who does?
