Not to enter food and cultural differences discourse but I have just read that beans on toast is a very poor people food, and sure, I agree, but like... there are lots of very poor people food with beans that feel like at least the person feeding you loves you. Sure, we are poor, but at least we have each other kind of message with some bean stew, or even beans with rice.

the interesting thing with that quiz is that what it seemed to be looking for is the usage of direct versus indirect object markers in Spanish relative to different European Spanish dialects, which I was working on with a great teacher from Catalunya who told me that not only is this something that a lot of learners struggle with, it’s actually in flux with modern speakers in Spain. So I think that’s where some of the lines were called
