Should we get rid of all doctors and try to treat all diseases and ailments with ""community"" and somehow getting rid of every harmful bacteria, virus, fungi and protease too? Because apparently if a medical professional wasn't completely perfect at Thier job and said something you don't like it means the WHOLE SYSTEM is a bust

Are you dumb or what . The biomedical model as a way of understanding neurodivergency has been disproven several times . Dont come at me with this bullshit . Theres no depression virus and no schizophrenia genetic defect . "Mental illness" is not a biological fact caused by chemical imbalances. The brain of a person with a label like adhd or ptsd or depression is not different than the one of a person without these labels .This theory has been debunked and disproven for literal centuries by psychologists themselves. There is no known biological cause so dont lie and act like there is one. You can literally google this by the way. So stop comparing depression to fungi and personality disorders to harmful bacteria . The biomedical model is just one way /one framework to think about our experiences of deviation from neuronormativity in this society . And its one that has not been proven helpful at all .

Also Im not that well versed w the disability rights movement and criticism of medical authorities /hospitals and treatments for physical illnesses /disabilities but I bet theres a lot to criticize too and yes those hierarchies and the medical abuse it accompanies/causes also need to be questioned .

Also where tf do you think doctors and medical knowledge and treatments that actually have been proven to be true and effective come from ? Are doctors and pharmacists rn not also humans that live in this society - in our communities ? 💀. Are they our overlords that get born Knowing things and the rest of us can never Know? My grandpa is a pharmacist and he literally used to go to the woods to collect plants and make his own medication which he then sold to the people in his city . My aunt is a pharmacist and she also still makes a lot of her own meds ; as a child and teenager I never went to a doctor bc my parents aunts and uncles know how to treat wounds and illnesses that would get others to spend a few nights at the hospital. 💀 LOL . As if this knowledge comes from outside our communities ??

Also WTF "if a professional wasnt completly perfect at their job" 😂😭 Psychiatric abuse isnt a professional who made a mistake . Its part of the recommended "treatment". The system isnt "broken" it was built this way. And yes all this is systemic criticism. Im actually for abolition . Prison abolition, Psych abolition, abolition of patriarchy and capitalism and the state . A new world is possible . Sorry that you never had a critical thought in your life.
